Commoner Upgrade

Suggestions to put the commoner class to some actual use (it won't be useful for combat of course, but it will be useful for what commoners are useful - labour):

Progression:
Every 5 levels, Commoners can choose a skilled profession feat.

Level 10: Enhanced Background I - you gain a repeat of your background bonus (polygot = extra language and +2 to linguistics, etc.)
OR
You can choose an additional background.

Level 20: Enhanced Background II - you gain a another repeat of your background bonus (polygot = extra language and +2 to linguistics, etc.)
OR
You can choose an additional background.

Level 30: Enhanced Background III - you gain a final repeat of your background bonus (polygot = extra language and +2 to linguistics, etc.).
OR
You can choose an additional background.

New Feats:
Hidden: show
Epic Skill Focus I through X - You can pick a skill focus you already have; you get an additional +5 to that skill. This feat can be taken multiple times, up to a max of 10 times.
REQUIRES: Skill Focus, Character Level 21
Skilled Profession Feats:
Hidden: show
Carve Gemstone - if you have a light hammer and a dagger equipped, you can spend 1 minute (channelled casting) creating a gemstone carving.
You target a gemstone in your inventory and roll Profession (Carving/Sculpting) + d20; you obtain a carving that can be sold for an amount of gold equal to [roll*10 + gemstone's value]. This exhausts you for 20 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Carve Wood - if you have a dagger equipped, you can spend 1 minute (chanelled casting) creating a wood carving.
You roll Craft (Carving/Sculpting) + d20; you obtain a carving that can be sold for an amount of gold equal to [roll*3]. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Carve Stone - if you have a light hammer and a dagger equipped, you can spend 1 minute (chanelled casting) creating a wood carving.
You roll Craft (Carving/Sculpting) + d20; you obtain a carving that can be sold for an amount of gold equal to [roll*5]. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Work Metal - if you have a light hammer equipped and are near a fire (campfire probably), you can spent 1 minute (channelled casting) working metal scraps into ingots. You roll Craft (Metalworking) + d20; you obtain a random metal ingot for every 10 points. This exhausts you for 15 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Create Weapons and Armour - if you are near a fire (campfire probably), you can spent 1 minute (channelled casting) working a selected material into armour, shields, and weapons. You target a stack of materials (any that can be used to make items) in your inventory and choose a base item. You must have a light hammer equipped to work metal and a dagger equipped to work wood. You must expend 5 of a material to use this ability to make shields, 10 of a material to use this ability to make weapons, and 15 of a material to use this ability to make armour.
You roll Craft (Metalworking) + d20; you create a chosen item (choose from any base type) made out of the chosen material (whichever you clicked on). For every 10 points on your role, this item gains a +1 enhancement bonus. This exhausts you for 40 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.
REQUIRES: Work Metal to select any metal ingots with this ability.
REQUIRES: Carve Wood to select any wood materials with this ability.

Farm - in any nature area, you can spend 1 minute (channelled casting) growing a crop of your choice (Strawberries, Green Beans, any other fruit/vegetable on the server).
You roll Profession (Agriculture) + d20; for every 5 points, you obtain 1 of that crop. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Bake - if you are near a fire (campfire probably), you can spend 1 minute (channelled casting) baking bread.
You roll Craft (Food Preperation) + d20; for every 10 points, you obtain 3 bread loaves. This exhausts you for 5 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Cook - if you are near a fire (campfire probably), you can spend 1 minute (channelled casting) cooking food.
You roll Craft (Food Preperation) + d20; for every 5 points, you obtain 1 meal (choose from any food on the server). This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Mine - in any underground area, you can spend 1 minute (channelled casting) mining for metal and gemstones. You require any hammer or warmace to use this ability.
You roll Profession (Mining) + d20; for every 5 points, you obtain 1 of a random gem or ingot. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Log - in any nature area, you can spent 1 minute (channelled casting) cutting down trees. You require any axe to use this ability.
You roll Profession (Forestry) + d20; for every 5 points, you obtain 1 of a random wood. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

You roll Perform + d20; for every 5 points, 1 person who listens to your song gets a random buff (+1d3 to all saves or +1d4 to 1d6 random skills or +1d20 temporary HP) for 24 hours. Listeners can only gain this buff once per rest. If you use this feat in a city or village, you also roll Perform + d20; for every 5 points, you gain 20 gold. This exhausts you for 5 minutes.
If you use this feat while exhausted, you suffer -10 on your roll and this feat goes on a 5 minute cooldown. You cannot use this feat while under attack.

Dance - in any peaceful area, you can spend 2 minutes (channelled casting) dancing. You must be wearing cloth for this ability to function. You must be able to move freely for this ability to function.
You roll Perform + d20; for every 5 points, 1 person who sees your dance gets a random buff (+1d3 to all saves or +1d4 to 1d6 random skills or +1d20 temporary HP) for 24 hours. Watchers can only gain this buff once per rest. If you use this feat in a city or village, you also roll Perform + d20; for every 5 points, you gain 20 gold. This exhausts you for 10 minutes.

Regarding the class itself - I concur with Ghost; implementing the Expert class would be preferable.

Regarding Epic Skill Focus - We already have instances of Epic Skill Focus[link], that apply a single +10 to the skill, but only reach about 4 or 5 skills currently. Expanding the list would be nice. Weirdly, the existing feat requires 20 ranks, but not the Skill Focus feat. This seems a bit backwards, but is actually the P&P implementation[link]. I'd still support a feat progression like we have for other epic-upgrade feats.

Regarding the Skill Feats:
Was it intended to refer to various Skill-focus feats for craft and profession skills, or are you suggesting a complete new line of feats?

I can definitely appreciate the inclusion of skill-abilities, but their power-level does appear to vary quite widely.

Most are reasonable, but Mining would need a studious look at, especially if it has a chance to drop high-value gems or diamonds. I hope it is evident that a chance of expensive reagents is not equal to three loaves of bread.

It would also merit either a look at how channeled casts work, or using a different system (such as applying the Dazed effect for a minute and checking combat status + skill check when it ends). Having possible RP interrupted by 10 instances of "So and so is casting Work Metal", and the channeled-cast counter getting stuck if interrupted early, could put a significant damper on use both during and well afterwards.
I suggest Daze, as it still allows movement if appropriate for other things (like walking around a workshop), and self-defenses if needed, without permitting active combat and use of other feats or spells.

The Exhausted condition is a nice effect, and being able to remove it by Restoration is reasonable, but would be worth addressing the potential of a caster with such spells to just sit in one place, rotating through their skills to produce high-value goods every minute and cleansing off the debuff before using the next skill. Applying a global 10-minute cooldown to all such skill-feats would mitigate at least the ability to cycle through, but is by no means the only possible consideration.

She seems unusually interested in cursed items.
She has also been seeking a variety of gems and stones.
