Retiring as admin

Hello everybody,

After long deliberation, I have decided to step down from the current Global Admin role, aiming to do so at the end of this month. While I still love this game, community and server very much, I notice that the role of Global Admin is not suited for me. I'm a person who really aims to get along with everybody, which is just not possible as admin. Over the years this has occasionally weighed quite heavy on me, and I felt it time to quit while I'm still somewhat ahead.

While we are still in an ongoing discussion about how we will continue once I step down as Global Admin, I do want you to know I'm not going to disappear. I will remain active as a player, and maybe even on staff. Just not as the person with end responsibility of this server. I feel there are people far more suited for that than me.

If you have any questions or remarks, do not hesitate to reach out to anyone.

Thank you for the many years and big contribution in the admin role. It has surely demanded dedication and hasn’t been all that fun ride. Hopefully you’ll get to enjoy the game now with lighter load.

I certainly intend to stick around and enjoy the server a bit more as a player! For weeks I've already been thinking about the character I'm going to make when I'm no longer admin!

Your perspective and levity is something I will truly miss. That is why from the bottom of my heart I say, I hope your retirement goes like my many attempts.

Its difficult to put into words all the good you brought to the team and the position, so I've instead wrote you a poem.

Roses are red
Violets are blue

Since the blackmail didnt work,
my lawyer said we cant legally keep you.

This isnt goodbye,
Goodbyes are tough.

Now please give me all of your stuff.
