*A trained hawk that carried a message was sent from the bartender of the Broken Goblet. The hawk would circle around low within the outer walls of Candlekeep, often letting about an avian cry if not perched upon someplace high. If someone from the Keep calls for the Hawk, It would swoop and land someplace near awaiting for them to remove the message. A note would be secured within the case strapped to the body of the Hawk.*

((I will forward the contents of the note via pm to the first person of Candlekeep that replies. Heading to work now so reply might come around after 5pm GMT +10

*Pretty much used to messengers in avian form, Edelgarde would approach the bird if allowed and attempt to retrieve the message. Before opening or reading it she would check if it is addressed to someone in particular and proceed to open it only if addressed to herself or nobody in particular*

A guest arrival

A sun elf Bladesinger came to visit Candlekeep, she inquired about a pair of elves and made certain that should anyone ask, that her name was Elyssa Symbaern and staying the night to rest within the inn. She had also asked around about the new Guide, and if they are present in the Candlekeep grounds to speak with.

A peculiar young woman has been seen spending time in the public parts of the Candlekeep library. Some have complained that her presence makes the temperature drop as she otherwise doesn't engage with anyone but the books. She is seen going through many of the ones in the public record and then purchasing supplies to allegedly write her own book. Some say she looks like an Aurilite, while others suggest fae blood. Either way, the blue and white mask she wears makes her stand out quite a lot.

The masked Rashemi is seen once again spending extensive time in the public section of the library. She pours over several papers as she quills what is rumored to be her contribution. What she is asking of the Candlekeep in return is still a mystery as other visitors avoid sitting too near to her chilly aura.

The mask Rashemi returns once again, her name has been caught by some ears as she spoke with Gorion at length about Candlekeep's history. Ethran Nai, a Wych of Rashemaar. Eventually she moved within the public section to once more work through the available books and asking about the status of her own published work. Given that she wasn't escorted deeper into the library it is safe to assume she was either denied or said contribution hasn't been examined yet.

Before she decided to leave she put in word that she seeks Diviners specializing in Bloodlines, more specifically sorcerous bloodlines. Lucrative pay has been offered.

After a long absence, the drow Ilhara briefly visited the Keep again, looking for help in identifying a pair of magical items that were beyond her comprehension. She was accompanied by the same mithral-plated elf that had previously delivered crates of alchemical reagents to the Keep for her; it seems that they had just returned from an adventure of some sort.

Once the items were identified, the odd couple briefly discussed what to do with the more powerful of the two: A strongly enchanted sling the likes of which Ilhara had never seen before. Ultimately, she decided she would soon pay a visit to Soubar to put it up for sale there, before they both left the Keep again...

Within the public halls of Candlekeep sits a mithralclad man. Putting near countless thoughts from ink to paper, days lost in writing as the parchments keep piling up and up. Anyone paying any attention would note that he is not simply inking a single subject but many all related to a singular purpose. Pulling out a new parchment each time even a hint of inspiration brushes past him. Adding them to the ever growing mountain.

Whether or not he found time to eat or even wash is a question up to debate though the lack of smell and rumbling subject would put said concerns to rest. Whatever he is inking is bound to be a tome, or a collection of them.

Two women were spotted engaging in a heated conversation near the gates of Candlekeep, disturbing the otherwise quiet haven at the breaking of dawn.
The two women, both of elven heritage by the look of them, appeared to have just returned from a raid against a nearby gnoll tribe, and seemingly turned hostile to each other at their arrival, for no apparent reason.
Witnesses reported having a hard time understanding the conversation, as the shorter of the two was speaking exclusively in Elven tongue, while the taller one in Common. After a while, a concerned passerby approached the couple, inquiring about their squabble.
The mere intervention was enough to make the argument stop, and cause the shorter elven woman to leave in a hurry, thus bringing an end to the commotion.

Troubled by the events that happened at Friendly Arm Inn, Dea immediately started to travel South. She arrived at Candlekeep and immediately began her pursuit of information on the one called Agnosh, master of storms. She searched through topics of history and religion, searching for answers to who this druid was, what their purpose may be, and potential insight into the entity's desires and weaknesses, just in case negotiation or confrontation were possibilities in the future.

The Wych of Rashemaar is seen entering Candlekeep and proceeding to the magic shop for some assistance. Once there, she unpacks several vials of draconic blood, an entire tooth and the Draconis Fundamentum of a Black Dragon- still seeping potent acid as it is contained in a glass jar.

With that, she begins the laborious effort of carving loose flat portions from the tooth, 13 to be exact. While the shape of the bits seemingly matters little, their flatness seems to be the goal. Once that is done, she uses the potent acid to carve iokharic runes into each little by little. With the help of some magic to make sure that the carved fetish is not cracked or melted through she finally completes her preparation by using heartblood from the same dragon to fill the grooves and let them dry before applying just a tint bit of resin to make sure they stay there.

Providing a thin woven golden necklace she attaches all of the dragonbone runes to them with the metallic dragons on the left and the chromatic on the right, with IO in the middle. She thanks the shopkeep and pays for the use of her equipment and assistance before making her way back out. Now with this peculiar necklace in her pocket.

From the first crack of dawn, after the usual prayers, Edelgarde can be seen by the avowed cloistered in the library, intent in transcribing a text.
A prayer to the First Scribe is recited, as customary, at the beginning and at the end of the first illuminated letter of each page. The character are traced precisely in blessed ink, the fragrance of hawthorn and vervain deep in the air. All pages are illuminated with motives that from the deep tones of purple, slowly degrade into lighter hues all the way to bright gold leaf. The margins are marked by a frame of protection glyphs against the forces of darkness.
Once the pages are completed, these are brought to the shrine of the First Scribe, where they are blessed in His name.
Should someone approach Edelgarde and query about her work, she would simply refer to the nature of it as "memories, committed to parchment and to the protection of the First Scribe"

Troubled by the recent attacks on her and other adventurers who were simply sitting peacefully by the campfire, Dea makes the trek to Candlekeep with a stone tablet in one hand. Once she gets to the library, she asks the attendent if anyone may be able to help decipher the tablet she brought with her. It appears to be in the dialect of Tir'su. She explains to the one helping her that a band of Gith started calling her and other adventurers "disgusting creatures" and attacked her and others when she told them to state their business. She lets the person know the Gith were offering coin to anyone who could tell them of Soubar. The creatures that attacked were dead, but there was no telling if more were expected.
