Mighty Rage
It seems as though mighty rage does not give the correct amount of attack bonus. Currently my barbarian with a strength of 25 a +7 mod goes up to 33 a +11 mod when raging. However instead of melee attack bonus going up by +4 it only goes up by +2 this happens with or without gear, and I confirmed I have not hit my AB cap because I can use heroism and other potions to increase AB post rage. I am using the whirlwind variant instead of the normal rage but every other feature seems to be working normally.
I double checked the wiki to make sure rage was not limited to +2 AB and it doesn't seem like it is. I dont know if its just my character that is bugged or whirlwind frenzy but this sure seems like a bug.

Whirlwind Frenzy:
At level 1, a barbarian may choose Whirlwind Frenzy instead of Standard Rage. Whirlwind Frenzy grants +4 Strength, +2 Dodge AC, +2 Reflex saves and an additional attack at the highest AB (does not stack with haste). These bonuses increase to: at Level 11 gains +6 Strength, +3 Dodge AC, +3 Reflex; at Level 20 gains +8 Strength, +4 Dodge AC, +4 Reflex; and with Epic Rage gains +10 Strength, +5 Dodge AC, +5 Reflex. The barbarian that chooses Whirlwind Frenzy does not get Indomitable Will at level 14. The amount of barbarian rage uses remain the same as the normal version. (Note that the Jun 02, 2017 Update implemented a -2 AC penalty while using a shield while under the effects of a Whirwind Frenzy. See forum post at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2716&p=744842) Rage lasts for 8 + Constitution bonus rounds.
This is what the wiki states which is the same as the one that I can access on my character, minus the forum link of course.

Re: Mighty Rage
Are you assessing your AB from ingame rolls, or from the character-sheet?
I would recommend running some tests in standard combat to see what the actual rolls are, as the char-sheet does not always accurately reflect every bonus.

Both the character sheet and the rolls are the same

Re: Mighty Rage
It's apparently undocumented, but Tekill's explanation is correct: Whirlwind Frenzy has a -2 AB penalty. This can be avoided by raging while hasted, since the AB penalty is only applied if you get the extra attack.GholaMan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 9:17 am Whirlwind Frenzy:

Re: Mighty Rage
So i found where it says it gives a -2 when raging, its actually on a differant part of the character sheet so yeah. Its documented, just not on the wiki

Re: Mighty Rage
But why does Whirkwind Frenzy get this “special” penalty?

Re: Mighty Rage
Probably the logic.
I just realized there may be a wiki entry SPECIFICALLY for Whirlwind Frenzy, and there was!
https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title ... ind_FrenzyWhile in a whirling frenzy, the barbarian may make one extra attack in a round at his highest base attack bonus, but this attack takes a -2 penalty, as does each other attack made that round. This extra attack does not stack with Haste and uses the haste improvement instead (no penalty applied to all attacks).
