Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
Travelers and adventurers alike passing by the Friendly Arm Inn would likely spot a recurring sight. Blue and orange lights were placed around the tomb of Sir Billy, and tulip flowers were carefully gathered from their growing spot, and placed gently on the resting place. The tomb has clearly been cleaned and looked after, by a hooded tiefling, wearing simple dark-coloured robes. She seems to be spending a lot of time at the tomb, sitting, contemplating, and praying for the child that was lost, the martyred Sir Billy. On occasion, the tiefling could be spotted or heard playing her lute, but words rarely left her lips. She seemed to be lost in thought at times, her hands freshly bandaged.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
The eve of 23 Kythorn, 1359 would see a large gathering around the campfire near the Friendly Arms Inn. Those already present would see a large Bronze Dragon landing nearby, by the name of Sunathaerarcanisshesjing, though thankfully they were amenable to simply being called Suna. The dragon shifted into an elven form to come socialize with what she called "The Small Folk" for a while. Much discussion was had, and the Archdruid of the Green Enclave was convinced to play a song for the gathering, after which a woman named Sera gave a performance.
The time seemingly too short for some (or perhaps because Oth showed up) the dragon had to leave.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
At the dawn of 5th Flamerule, 1359, the strange rumor may start to spread. Those who was awake from guardsmen, common folks or travellers and early guests of Friendly Arms Inn might notice a man in green armors, accompanied with big dog. This man was carrying a handicuffed and incapacitated body of male human with eastern look, seemingly fainted in battle and after that quickly pathced up.
Soonly after that it was known that local rangers have caught a so-called ex-red wizard practising vile arts of necromancy in the gnolls cave, that are on the Lion's Way. Now the fate of this necromancer is on the guardsmen choice and thus remains unknown
This rumor also might be considered a message: "Noone can enter the woods, create undead on, under or above this land and expect to not face a punishment for this"

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
Declan approaches the Shrine of Sir William, a solemn expression on his face. The shrine is adorned with candles and flowers, a tribute to the young boy who was taken too soon by the forces of darkness. Declan's armor clinks softly as he kneels before the shrine, his head bowed in reverence.
With a deep breath, Declan begins his prayer, his voice carrying a mix of sadness and determination. "Sir William, valiant and brave, though your life was cut short, your spirit shines as a beacon of hope and courage. You faced the darkness with unwavering resolve, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten."
He closes his eyes briefly, as if connecting with the spirit of the fallen knight. "I pray that your journey beyond this realm has been one of peace and rest. May your noble soul find eternal solace in the embrace of the divine. Watch over us, young Sir William, and guide us in our ongoing battle against the forces that threaten to engulf the world in shadows."
Declan's hand reaches out, his fingers brushing against the shrine's surface as he offers his respects. "As a fellow knight, I am honored to stand in your presence. Your memory inspires me to continue the fight for justice and protection of the innocent. Rest well, noble soul, for your legacy lives on in the hearts of those who hold you dear."
He lingers for a moment longer, the weight of his words and emotions hanging in the air. With a final bow of his head, Declan rises from his kneeling position, leaving behind a sense of reverence and a whispered promise to honor the memory of Sir William in all his future endeavors.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
During an evening in Eleasis, 1359, several people were seen heading into the Cloakwoods. Among them were a tall man with green hair, a brunette ranger, two tieflings, and a noodly wizard. The group stepped into the forest, but soon after they could not be found. It's unclear by those not in the know what happened to them.
Hours later, the large green man was seen carrying a slumbering female tiefling in his arms towards the Friendly Arms Inn. The noodly wizard procured her a room, and the large man took her to the room, exiting shortly after.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
The following morning after a slumbering, female tiefling was brought safely to the Friendly Arms Inn, Sera awoke to a bright morning that seemed to warm the ground with hope. Yet despite this feeling of hope and of change, she wore a face of sadness, her eyes strained by a night of tears as she slowly made her way back home to the Darius estate in the city. On her long journey, she never spoke a word to anyone she may have passed, passers-by would likely notice that the necklace she always wore and which seemed to be her most precious possession was no longer around her neck. Whatever happened within those woods seemed to have upset her greatly. However, she would very briefly mumble something weakly to herself in a strange tongue, a bittersweet smile flashing across her face before returning to one of sadness.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
*A song started to echo throughout the Friendly Arm Inn. A well-known feathered hat would be spotted!*
In a realm where darkness veiled the light,
A tyrant's rule, a never-ending night,
He preyed upon the helpless, the weak, and the meek,
A shadowy Lord, his motives were bleak.
From the shadows he schemed, his power grew vast,
The people's suffering would not be his last,
But whispers of change began to swarm,
As a storm of rebellion started to form.
Oh, the tyrant's reign, it won't persist,
We'll unite as one, in justice we insist,
Breaking the chains of his vile endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.
In the depths of secrecy, his schemes did unfold,
His wicked commands, his stories untold,
But heroes emerged, with courage so bold,
To unveil his corruption, to expose the cold.
In the heart of the night, they rose against fear,
Their purpose clear, their mission sincere,
With valor in their hearts, they'd break the facade,
To reveal the truth and shatter the fraud.
Oh, the tyrant's reign, it won't persist,
We'll unite as one, in justice we insist,
Breaking the chains of his vile endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.
The trial was set, the evidence amassed,
The tyrant's reign would not forever last,
The people's voice, their demand for peace,
Would finally make the darkness cease.
In the courtroom's hush, the truth did unfurl,
The tyrant's crimes, a sinister whirl,
The people's will, a thunderous storm,
As justice prevailed, a new world was born.
The verdict was cast, his sentence severe,
For the countless souls he'd caused to tear,
With unity, their purpose became warmer,
They proclaimed, "We've put a Dent in his armor!"
Oh, the tyrant's reign, it will persist no more,
As a united front, justice we restore,
Breaking the chains of his wicked endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.
Though the tyrant still lingers in his domain,
The people's resolve would never wane,
For a trial was prepped to make him see,
The consequences of his tyranny.

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
After fending off an orcish warband near the Friendly Arm with the help of a gnomish alchemist and an elven assassin, the half-sun sorceress known as Aela finally takes it upon herself to leave the inn unaccompanied, for the first time in months. She ventures north towards the Gate, remarking that she needs more practice... but although she does not cancel her ongoing accommodations at the inn, she does not return that night, or the night after.
Following her trail to the Gate, and beyond, might begin to explain her absence:
Following her trail to the Gate, and beyond, might begin to explain her absence:
- Upon her arrival, she headed immediately for the temple of Mystra, where she received news of the passing of a "Rynn", slain in the Reaching Woods by a beast of shadow, allegedly sent after him by Amnian mage hunters. With this information, she left the temple, refusing company, and teleported out of the city.
- Although her destination was not exactly specified, it would likely have been obvious to those at the temple that she went to the Reaching Woods. No noteworthy of her passing remained, but she reportedly confronted the leader of the Crimson Watch in the marketplace at Soubar, making her presence known just as she dismissed an invisibility spell.
While she made no effort to conceal her loathing of the settlement or its inhabitants, she seemed more interested in questioning them than attacking them, for once. Sharp, hostile words were exchanged by both sides, and the sorceress very visibly restrained herself from hurling a fireball at the tiefling and his half-drow companion, but at the end of it, she withdrew to the Ebon Blade keep to continue the conversation behind closed doors. - No one knows how the discussion went from there, but Aela was not seen exiting the keep, alive or otherwise. Nonetheless, she was seen returning to the Gate again, this time going to the Ilmatari temple, where she would be visited first by the Mystran mage Sirion, and then the Selunite bardess Maevyn.
What she discussed with Sirion, the Ilmatari didn't know, save that he sent Maevyn her way; what she and Maevyn talked about, she later asked them not to share, save that she needed to see a priestess Sirion identified as Sister Ashenie. Either way, she would remain at the temple as long as she was allowed, potentially to the point of dozing off from exhaustion...

"A Sight Unseen, Part Five"
In the moonlit silence of the night, the Dark Figure sets their sights on a lone priest devoted to Helm, the vigilant guardian. The priest, garbed in the vestments of Helm's sacred order, walks the desolate path in the direction of the fortress inn, unaware of the presence that shadows their every step. Swift and silent, the Dark Figure moves through the shadows, their every movement a whisper against the night. They close in on the priest, their intent dark and unforgiving, a stark contrast to Helm's protective embrace.
The Dark Figure leaves as quickly as he arrived.

The priest, immersed in prayers and contemplation, feels a sudden, suffocating darkness engulf them. Panic grips their heart as they realize they are not alone. The Dark Figure emerges from the shadows, their aura dripping with malevolent intent.
In an instant, the Dark Figure casts an incantation, conjuring an ethereal hand that grips the priest, leaving them prone and unable to move. The priest's prayers for Helm's protection go unanswered, their faith tested by this unholy force.
The Dark Figure, their purpose achieved, watches as the mist disperses, leaving behind an unsettling silence. The Dark Figure, draws on the life essence of the priest, draining it with relentless determination. The priest, weakened and struggling, fights to maintain their faith and resist the assault on their very being. The priest's form convulses, and their body is engulfed in a ghastly mist, a swirling vortex of crimson that seems to defy the natural order.
In a horrifying instant, the mist solidifies, but it's no longer the form of a living being. Instead, it manifests into a grotesque, crimson-hued visage, a haunting silhouette of what once was. The priest, devout and stalwart, has been transformed into a grotesque semblance of their former self, a manifestation of the dark magic that consumed them.
The Dark Figure leaves as quickly as he arrived.

A red-eyed elf and a chipper Mulani could be seen wandering into the Sharpteeth today. When they returned, they were all bloody and beaten; apparently they narrowly escaped a deadly defeat...

Re: Rumors of the Friendly Arm Inn
A gnome skips towards the Friendly Arms from the south pausing as the giant Inn looms into view. With a promise of security and shelter and mediocre food it stands unmoved by her sudden arrival.
Deciding there was no need on this occasion to darken it's doors the gnome halted outside avoiding the woods where the bloody and beaten figure emerged so recently was not the way to go either. Another figure stood near the fire positioned outside the safety of the Inn. He appeared preoccupied and wealthy dressed.
The gnome instead opted to move past without introduction. The lure of gold and the promise of adventure left behind she headed north and safer fields.

Have You Rolled?
*Rumors*
Many were seen entering the Friendly Arms Inn for a game of dice in order to win chances at some mysterious artifacts. Was the game wholesome and pure like any other gamblers dice game?

Or was the many who payed to play, involved in a devils game the knew nothing of?

What appeared to be an intriguing fun moment of dice filled with many patrons in attendance..

Soon wondered if the game was merely a game at all. Rumors may speak of how two winners walked out of the Friendly Arms Inn Leisure room with one magical abyssal stone, while another walked out with some strange magical scroll never seen before but it was also magically sealed. But yet other wondering minds would not forget how the dealer conducting the game had retained one item that wasn't shown to the patrons that night.
