Born and raised in Gullykin. Hampton was trained to be a Ranger of Gullykin and was suppose to join up. Hampton had a chance encounter with Thalantyr the Conjurer. He was wowed by magic and Thalantry said Hampton had an aptitude for it. Hampton asked to become his apprentice but Thalantyr refused. Hampton disappointed, returned to Gullykin to finished his ranger training. Before he took his vows to protect Gullykin, he stowed away on a caravan going north to Neverwinter.

In Neverwinter he found the Cloaktower and petitioned to join. He was given many reasons no: he was a foreigner, a "Hin", already had a profession and many more reasons he was not apprentice material. Hampton persevered and camped behind the tower. He would always come out and help when he saw a mage or a proper apprentice outside of the tower. Hampton was of course refused entry but after a few months, one mage named Giber Farseeker, took an interest in Hampton because he had a nose for the wilds. Giber challenged Hampton to go find a rare herb. Hampton left for many ten days and the other mages applauded Giber for finally ridding them of the Hin pest. Hampton finally found the herb and returned. Giber was quite pleased and took him as an apprentice. Giber did not promise Hampton he would become a member of the Many-Starred Cloaks but he would at least get his wish for education.

Several years later Hampton completed his apprentiship and was offered a test to possibly become a Many-Starred Cloak but he politely refused. He was homesick. Giber bid him well but made Hampton vow to help if Neverwinter ever needed aid. Hampton agreed and left for home. When Hampton arrived in Gullykin he was immediately placed under "House Arrest" by his parents. They were ashamed Hampton left without taking his place in proper Hin society, after all he was a Strongheart not some wonder filled Lightheart. He explained what he had been doing and was released from his obligation but he wed a local girl named Winky.

Hampton's parent thought this marriage would get him to settle down and it partly worked. Hampton did not leave again but he did go out adventuring when he could. Hampton keep his outing local and learned much about the area around Gullykin. He did return to Neverwinter a few times with his family and met with his old Master. when out adventuring, Hampton met all sorts. He tutored under an Eldritch Knight named Lurik and through his cousin learned about a secret coven of Shadow Dancers in the area. Hampton studied the Shadow Dancers learning it was a form of ancient magic that pulled from the Plane of Shadow. Hampton has decided to learn this way and teach it to his family. While adventuring, Hampton walked lightly in the land, rarely telling anyone his name and used his ranger skills to keep out of trouble. Because he knew what his Mother would say "Hin have no business fessen with large folk troubles."

Hampton played it safe, not getting involved with any wars and stayed home raising his twins and spending time with his wife. His few encounters in the Wild's often left him question things he was taught. He saw kindness predators gave thier cubs. Watched many different adventurers work with goblins, orcs and even tieflings. One creature he does not give quarter to, are Dragons. Something that got burned into his mind was when one day he saw a young red toy with his "food". The Red had attacked a small adventuring party and defeated them. the Red Dragon then used healing magic to stabilize the downed party. Then one by one, woke them up and carried them up high to drop them to their death. It was cruel, it was unjust and to this day Hampton remembers it.

One fateful day Hampton's wild cousin, Beaucamp Simmons sent a letter. Beaucamp's mother had died and he was leaving for his last grand adventure into the Planes of the Universe!!! Beaucamp left Hampton his house and all his old adventuring gear. Both Charles and Alice where of age and Hampton asked his family if they wanted to move. They all agreed and Hampton announced his acceptance of the Estate. Hampton's and Winky's parents where upset but the Gate was not to far away.

The family new adventurers have just now begun!
