An old leather-skinned man with a long pole wrapped in oilcloth and a dog in tow has recently wandered into town. The man keeps to himself and his pet, but can often be heard singing near a large campfire by the docks. By the haul of fish he brings in daily, he must be either lucky or a very adept angler

On the Island of Ulgolth's Beard not long after the Divine Death Ceremony, a familiar Tormtar stood with Greatsword held in leather and armored hands point downwards to the sand with special candles on either side. The man stood quiet looking out over the Sea before him, a gentle inhale taken before it was let out.

"I can nay know all your deeds as they were nay spoken to me or yet to be had but you have one that bears a great weight. You saved her at cost of yourself and that is something I will repeat here where you fought, upon the Sea before me and this Shore. I will nay forget that, you will not be forgotten Aramon."

After the man offered soft spoken prayer a par tof his past that always stayed with him was given to air as his left hand made fist and rang against his plate with repetative beat. The folklore holds that this was a shanty saved for the last duty of a voyage, after which all hands would disembark

After sundown a ceremony took place in a tranquil homestead nearby the path to Ulgoth's Beard. Under Moon Maiden's light was a blessing of Growth and Life casted on the well kept garden grounds by graying priest. A light warm breeze in the cold of the winter. Spectated and appreciated by a pair leaning into each other.

Rumors slowly spread of strange visitors that wandered into the tiny hamlet of Ulgoth's Beard. Three well-armed individuals: a ranger donned in black named Alandar, a courageous warrior of Osiris named Anakh Surleyna and a knight dressed in almost silver-colored fullplate armor named Phandalus Trevalyan. The ranger led them to the distant lighthouse next to the shore where they suspected some of the villagers knew was the hideout of a secretive smuggler organization. There they discovered a secret hatch that descended into the deepening darkness of what looks like a secret pirates cove. The three visitors Alandar, Anakh and Phandalus, wandered through what seemed to be endless caverns littered with traps, stolen junk and other strange anomalies that lie around which almost gave the feeling that this secret cove was abandoned until they were ambushed by a pirate captain and his crew as they proceeded further in.

Successfully dispatching the pirate captain and his crew quite easily, they proceeded deeper into the cove where they discovered what looks like a ladder in a rather heavily-eroded room. When they climbed up the ladder they discovered a small group of cultists inside of what looked like a warehouse that looked like they were summoning devils from the nine hells via a strange summoning rune painted on the floor. Phandalus lead the charge, his darksteel sword held high as he was followed by Alandar and Anakh. Phandalus focused his attention on the succubus that remained in the center of his room; using his well-known ability of smite evil he felled on her blow after blow upon the succubus until she was banished forth with from the material plane. Alandar stood fast as several cultists began casting their dark magic upon him. Despite their efforts, he rapidly showered them with a flurry of blows with his twin-curved swords that resulted in a wild spray of blood that spreaded throughout the room as the cultists scream in agony from cut off limbs and massive lacerations. Anakh charged towards the other two remaining cultists within the room as they casted their dark spells on her which she easily resisted. Successfully shield bashing each cultist in the head one by one she quickly followed with a heavy mace swing that cracked their skulls into nothing but bloody pools and brains with their headless bodies falling to the floor as a massive pool of blood drips between the wooden planks.

The three adventurers then stood directly in the center of the summoning circle as they all worked together to summon a powerful spell of consecration. With Phandalus, a noble paladin of Tyr, having the spell memorized he began channeling the spell and shouted a sacred prayer to his god, Tyr:

The footsteps of the blessed knight are harried at all times,
By the temptations of sin,
And the claws of malevolence,
Honor to the name of he who places himself,
As a shield between his brethren and the forces of evil,
For he shall enter the halls of light,
And be Exalted as sentinel for all god's children,
Until the hour of his glorification,
He shall go forthrightly into the serpent's den,
Wielding the blade of heaven,
And the devil will know the terror of his own wickedness,
When destruction rains upon him from above,
TYR....BLESS ME WITH YOUR LIGHT

And so did the room become consecrated with the holy light of justice...

Hope everyone enjoyed. This is my first rp post I am not the best writer but I try. :)

A figure might have been seen standing in the harsh wind for a long time on the high cliff not very far from the small stone shrine, holding an ancient blade of eastern influence. The wind tugged the hem of the coat and loosened strands of hair to dance around the head but the figure seemed to not pay attention. When the pale moon rose on the sky the following night, the figure was gone.

After visiting Baldur's Gate and rural areas Kervel visits Ulgoth's beard with a few prepared noticed in hand. He walks through the small village and puts up the notices on mostly visited areas. When he is done he leaves towards east on path along River Chiontar.
Good people of Ulgoth's Beard!

You are most welcome to visit a newly built shrine of Chauntea close by the village. Shrine is open to all that wish to pray or honor The Grain Goddess with pure intentions. Just follow the path leading towards Baldur's Gate along Chiontar east until you come upon another path that goes up towards the northern hills. Follow that path and you are soon there! We offer what aid we have to those needing seeds, farming tools, or advice in farming.

If you beloved pet or animal requires care or treatment, then bring them with you. Greencrest Animal Care will take care of them. No payment is needed, but a donation for the shrine and faith is appreciated.

Chauntea bless you with warmth, growth and days full of live.

It was a quiet night in Ulgoths Beard, that was until a pair of women came out from the darkness of the night and pleading with a man to help their befallen companions.

"Sir! ...Our friends got hurt at a cave nearby on that blasted Island of Ulgoth's beard."

"Can you help us?!"

Image

"How long have they been fallen?"

"it's been a while..."

"An hour?"

"We had to slowly carry them off the island."

"Too long. Nae sure this will work but if not ..let me take them and I can bring them back right as rain!"

*Crying eyes and panic sobs filled the once quiet night*

Image

"Hey hey ..your friends will be fine..is any of them an elf?"

"Yes, my sis here"

"Ooh thats difficult..but..will you trust me?"

"Okay but do something!"

The bodies no longer evident of their warmth was carried by the man who teleported away, only to soon return with two women disoriented and lost of their surroundings.

"What happened? Where are they? Are they okay?"

"Behind the Bearded Mermaid Tavern..you will find them there..Some food and rest will do"

"Thanks Sir what kind of payment will you take for this?

*A finger was brought to his lips* "Shuuu, you've never seen me....."

*The man quickly made his leave without even leaving so much as a name. What business he had in Ulgoths Beard would surely have to wait another time. For there was way too many people out and about to his liking. But for that companion of four, will later soon spend time in the Bearded Mermaid recollecting themselves and speaking of the stranger in whom they had trusted while feeling the rejoicing of their fallen friends and family. *

"A Shadowed figure would approach the Shrine of the false goddess Selune.
Upon which this Shadow-covered figure would desecrate the ground on which it stood before affixing a banner of Shar. No words would be spoken, only a note would be left to besmirch the False Goddess. A note writ by the hands of the dead."

The weaker faiths suffer in fear and loss.
We rise above such things.
While they nestle in the bosom of falsehoods and light, we know all things must come to an end.

An all eternal rest in the comfort of darkness, like that of what we were in the womb, is all that will bring us comfort...

Silence.
Darkness.
Nothing.

What was here before the lie of light was the Void. The quiet. The silent embrace of our Goddess of the Night...

All origin was darkness. There were no issues before the light tainted this realm.
All that light brought was simply that, issues.

Troubles.
Suffering.
Loss.
Pain.
Torment.

All that there can be, is Darkness and Her embrace.
You must offer yourself to her, for she will take away all that causes you pain.

Love is a lie. Only hate endures
Light is blinding. Only in darkness do we see clearly.
Hope is weakness. See reality for what it is, not the dreams of the foolish.
All is meaningless. And nothing endures.
A Sharran Banner would be left at the scene with the ground desecrated by means of a spell..

Another visit to the heretical Shrine of Selune. The Shadow-covered figure would once again desecrate the ground to weaken the Moon Goddesses influence. A banner dedicated to Shar would pierce the ground and stand strong.

A crude voice would seep from the Shadowed-figure.
"Your influence is weak. Your worshippers care not of your poorly crafted idolism.
Such ugly stonework, as soon as your power is stripped from this statue, it will crumble. For it is nothing but just that: Rubble."
The figure would pull out dismembered hand with a letter gripped in its cold lifeless fingers. A message would read:
"Light will be consumed by Darkness.
No place is safe from the Goddess of the Night."

Not for terribly long, the wind took it.

On a regular Night like any other. The Shadowed-figure returns to see the Shrine of Selune still standing. Is it weaker now? It is hard to tell.
The Shadowed figure covered in darkness points a finger toward the shrine, her shadows drag with them a banner of Shar. Her declaration of endless desecrations to all Selunite idolism.
Image
The shadows place the banner and dissipate into the void.
A prayer to Shar is held, one that blasphemes Selune.
As she disappears into the Darkness of the Night once again.
"Praise to the Mother of the Night."

Another Night, and a familiar Selunite face appears, giving prayers and duty after removing the banner of Shar, buring it with moonfire and reconsecrating the area.

A well-crafted "Knight's Sword" is left before Selune's Alter. The weapon is simple in creation except for the upright palm on the pommel.
Atop the weapon a note is bound and left for all to read.
"You may extol the virtues of darkness but know this: Torm's faithful will stand as unyielding bastions, ready to defend the innocent and protect the weak at any cost.

While you speak of weaker faiths cowering in fear and loss, we, the faithful of Torm, rise to the occasion. We will not retreat into the shadows; we will march boldly into the fray, for it is in our unwavering commitment to justice that we find strength.

You may find solace in the emptiness of darkness, but we find purpose in the radiance of the light. It is in this light that we see the path to a better world, where honor and integrity prevail.

Love is not a lie; it's the powerful force that compels us to defend those we hold dear. The light does not blind us; it illuminates the path of righteousness. Hope is not weakness; it fueled our determination to vanquish dark gods and fuels us now to defeat, The Lady of Loss

In your belief that all is meaningless, you dismiss the very essence of our existence – the opportunity to make a difference. Torm teaches us that our actions matter, that our valor in the face of darkness can inspire others to do the same.

While you may embrace darkness, we embrace the radiant banner of Torm, for it is under its light that we unite as defenders of justice. Our penance commands that the faithful of The True stand here and now, one and all. What you seek to destroy we shall defend and rebuild.”
Another peaceful evening would find the grounds near the alter sanctified again.

On A Darkest Night,
Appearing from the nothing of which it was born.
A Shadow darker than most appears.

"Here.." the Shadow would order.
In a short moment, Shadow servants would materialize from her darkness.
As all would begin to set up the Altar.

All the while the Shadow would begin their worship of the Dark Lady.
Surrounding it with blessed Sigils of Shar.

A mirror would be placed beside the altar.
For those willing to whisper their pain to her.
Their memories for her taking.
Give your offerings to Shar.
Give service to Shar.

In time, the Shadow would seep back into Darkness, to become nothing once more.
