*In the past tenday, Watcher Wai Li might be seen in Baldur's Gate on her first visit north in many months. In the midst of her visit, she may be seen stopping by the Temple of the Shield and speaking with Watcher Valdore as well as visiting a prisoner in the Flaming Fist Citadel jail and walking about with Warden Marshall to and from his estate in the city...*

*On the fateful day of a certain trial, a tune began to ripple through the 'The Blade and Stars Tavern.' Picture this: an enigmatic and delightfully amateur performer, swathed in a flowing lemon-hued gown, strumming and singing with abandon. As the final notes danced into the air, the spirited songstress concluded with a graceful curtsey, her eyes sparkling with mischief. She then executed a swift exit, leaving the crowd in stunned bewilderment or confusion.*

In a realm where darkness veiled the light,
A tyrant's rule, a never-ending night,
He preyed upon the helpless, the weak, and the meek,
A shadowy Lord, his motives were bleak.

From the shadows he schemed, his power grew vast,
The people's suffering would not be his last,
But whispers of change began to swarm,
As a storm of rebellion started to form.

Oh, the tyrant's reign, it won't persist,
We'll unite as one, in justice we insist,
Breaking the chains of his vile endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.

In the depths of secrecy, his schemes did unfold,
His wicked commands, his stories untold,
But heroes emerged, with courage so bold,
To unveil his corruption, to expose the cold.

In the heart of the night, they rose against fear,
Their purpose clear, their mission sincere,
With valor in their hearts, they'd break the facade,
To reveal the truth and shatter the fraud.

Oh, the tyrant's reign, it won't persist,
We'll unite as one, in justice we insist,
Breaking the chains of his vile endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.

The trial was set, the evidence amassed,
The tyrant's reign would not forever last,
The people's voice, their demand for peace,
Would finally make the darkness cease.

In the courtroom's hush, the truth did unfurl,
The tyrant's crimes, a sinister whirl,
The people's will, a thunderous storm,
As justice prevailed, a new world was born.

The verdict was cast, his sentence severe,
For the countless souls he'd caused to tear,
With unity, their purpose became warmer,
They proclaimed, "We've put a Dent in his armor!"

Oh, the tyrant's reign, it will persist no more,
As a united front, justice we restore,
Breaking the chains of his wicked endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.

Though the tyrant still lingers in his domain,
The people's resolve would never wane,
For a trial was prepped to make him see,
The consequences of his tyranny.

Posters and flyers begin to be put up around the Friendly Arm Inn and other locations, including the Gate.
In remembrance of the fallen of Lathander's faithful in the village of Beregost, I, Lysander Goodman, Dawnbringer of the Morninglord, will be holding a memorial service. The service will take place outside the Song of the Morning, on the date of Eleint the twenty-fifth. Of those who helped defend the village in its time of need, and those who fought alongside my brothers of the faith, your presence is most welcomed and honored.

In the dawn, beauty reigns, and the way is clearer, and there is always another dawn.

-Lysander Goodman, Dawnbringer of Lathander

Various arcane scrolls with very pointed messages continue to litter the streets of Nashkel and seemingly have now made their way to the gate. Discussions are ongoing in the shadows about the future of the citizens and what each new message means.
Scrolls of See Invisibility were offered:
The Amnian Oppressors would have you sell yourself to their servitude, banished or killed for possessing the fits and talents of the Arcane; a natural resource governed by the gods themselves.
Do not let your these tyrants rule you with fear, and consequence. Reject oppression choose freedom instead.
Here is an arcane scroll to see through the bullshit you're being peddled.
Freedom is universal; we are born free and shall die so. Let the echoing cries of the voiceless finally be heard.
Scrolls of Rage were offered:
The Amnian Oppressors would have you sell yourself to their servitude, banished or killed for possessing the fits and talents of the Arcane; a natural resource governed by the gods themselves.
Do not let your these tyrants rule you with fear, and consequence. Reject oppression choose freedom instead.
Here is an arcane scroll to feel the RAGE of those that are still hunted, banished from their own homes or put into slavery at the hand of those in charge and in support of Amn.
Too long have we stood by as they use and abuse their own citizens for monetary gain.
Freedom is universal; we are born free and shall die so. Let the echoing cries of the voiceless finally be heard.
The newest addition: Scrolls of Resistance:
The Amnian Oppressors would have you sell yourself to their servitude, banished or killed for possessing the fits and talents of the Arcane; a natural resource governed by the gods themselves.
Do not let your these tyrants rule you with fear, and consequence. Reject oppression choose freedom instead.
Here is an arcane scroll to RESIST the will of those that STILL HUNT, banish you from your own homes or put you or loved ones into slavery.
Too long have we stood by as they use and abuse their own citizens for monetary gain.
Freedom is universal; we are born free and shall die so. Let the echoing cries of the voiceless finally be heard.

Similar flyers would seem to spread further in Baldur's Gate and its surroundings too. Scrolls of Fear, indeed, were found by the people, clearly referring to the Amnian situation.
Scrolls of Fear were found.

*There is a writing behind these scrolls. It seems, much like the other flyers, they want to bring news to the populace. There's a drawing, representing broken chains, at the top and at the bottom of the message.*

The Dutchess of Spring has spoken.

The Echo became a Resonance, for you cannot silence the will of the people. They teach us to Fear them, they teach us to obey the laws they represent and to learn how inevitable they are. But here is one truth.

Laws aid peace and foster freedom, so long as these laws are just and those who enforce them are lenient and understanding.

A Dragonfly will not ask for freedom, for we are born with it. Freedom must be respected.
For arcanists. For normal people. For clerics. For the rich and the poor. Freedom is universal, and the FEAR of letting others to bask in their RIGHTS, is a synonym of Tyranny.

Whatever it takes, we will do, to ensure all beings to walk free of Fear.
Let them call more HUNTERS if they want. Let them try to silence our voices, too afraid to lose their power, instead of listening to our united cries.

The more they do, the more our point stands.

If you also share our beliefs, if you also want to see this tyranny to end, then know this:
you are not alone.
Join us, brothers and sisters in freedom, for today is the day to sing of our liberty.

In memory of Echo, who still lives: a non mage willing to stand against oppression of all arcanists.

*It is signed as.*

- Resonance
- Echo
- Dutchess

and many others.

A hatted woman in charred (but admittedly fashionable) travelling garb comes stumbling up to the Chionthar bridge warning the local guards of an incoming inferno having grasped the wilds east of the bridge. She spoke of unhinged devilspawn having summoned meteors from the skies to smash rocks blocking the entrance of some ruin in the bid to settle the score with some unknown demonic entity. After dramatically delivering her report, she retreated within the city towards the manorborn district.

Whispers spread like wildfire from the east, speaking of a devastating event to the east of the Wyrm's Crossing. Powerful magic, cataclysmic in nature, has turned the once lush forest east of the wyrm's crossing, into scorched land. The road that once guided travelers is now a ghostly echo amidst the smoky aftermath, leaving the land in awe.

Not long ago a woman wearing a fashionable hat was also spotted delivering a report to the city watch, seemingly warning the local authorities of the fire that was spreading.

"It was the tieflings, i saw it!"

Troops are dispatched from the Bridge Fort over the River Chionthar, as well as from the Order of the Radiant Heart Keep, to aid in ensuring the fire is indeed contained and no longer posses a threat. Soldiers move buckets of water from the river to the charred landscape, while Clerics summon Earth Elementals to stir dirt and soil. smothering remaining embers. Charred trees are doused to ensure they do not add fuel to any possible relapses in the flames.

Priestess of Auril could be seen conjuring ice storm through the wasteland. Some part of devastated forest was covered with snow, on scorched trees hanging icicles and air became unpleasantly cold.

Teris can be seen east of Wyrms Crossing, tending to the burned forest as best he can. He seems tired as he takes on the overwhelming task.

Karos Kerrigan appeared before Teris to have an increasingly candid conversation before offering his help to the exhausted man afterwards. They then could be seen going a bit deeper down the trail, with Karos taking out a hatchet to cut a few pieces off of a branch that had fallen onto another tree, so that it might be soon removed to allow the afflicted tree some breathing room.

Sounds of rustling and thuds could be heard within the burnt forest east of Wyrm's Crossing. A woman in a fox mask could be seen carrying a charred log across the woods and placing it next to some others. She appeared to also be taking down dead trees with her halberd that were at risk of falling and hurting the still living trees. At times she could be seen leaving the woods in a mad sprint like she had been spooked by something, but would return to the woods sometime later once she calmed down. She spent a good amount of time clearing up the forest to assist the things that still yet lived in it, and made room on the forest floor for new growth.

A young Mulani girl, answering to the name "Zeila Linepret", could be seen asking around in the docks, about the location of a "Stone Root Bay", and the reasons behind its name. She says she has read it is somewhere south of the Gate, but if she is asked why she wants to know, she offers no coherent explanation: Either her grasp on Common is hindering her here, or she is deliberately withholding that information for some reason...

"They would dagger angry letters to the temple door. Blood soaked and insidious."
Murder Rended... Mercy Mended... , Saint Merielle Silene, The Living Saint

As dawn pierced through the night mists rolling up from the Chiontar, light was shed upon remains of a violent torture in the streets of Heapside. Before the small gardens of the Shrine of the Suffering, blood-stained pavement still bore the weight of murder. Life stolen in painful agony, it is said that the murder was likely brutal. Rumors speak of an eviscerated body, guts on display, and a blood soaked letter invoking the name of "Cyric- Bhaal"."

"It was for them that I prayed. For the Coast. Something was brewing… and I prayed we could endure it."
Murder Rended... Mercy Mended... , Saint Merielle Silene, The Living Saint

Kneeling near the maimed body, Sister Ashenie is said to have whispered gentle, unheard words. Almost as a mother taking her child to sleep, the rumor says that the horror and the violence of the scene did not alter her behavior. She contemplated the remains, and prayed. Soon, sparkling dust was spread around, from a small pouch. Holy Words called for a consecration, taking hold in the Ilmatari yard. Words of peace answered Murder. An wooden Ilmatari symbol was placed near the body, to "cleanse suffering and agony" some say, though other might feel unsure about the effect. Finally, the remains, the letter and the body were gathered. The blood was wiped with great care. The Sister was seen returning to the Ossuary, below Heapside's surface. "For all that you endured... I am sorry."

Teris and Hinzel spent the day and a large portion of the night working in the forest east of Wyrms Crossing to clear out debris to make space to replant, and tending to the damaged area.
