*Some locals in Greenest would had seen a hooded figure jumping off the caravan from Neshkal. He took a deep breath of fresh air before proceeding within the large double wooden doors to the exterior gate, only to continue his walk to the Greenest Inn*

As she works behind the bar in the Greenest inn, one could see that there was an odd look in Na'Karia's eyes. Normally she was odd to begin with if not quiet, but today for some reason or other, she looks as though she was scheming something in that head of hers. She cleaned beer steins flawlessly, restocked under the counter, all while not uttering a word to Orniff unless he had a question to ask. Beyond that, the inn was quiet for the night, a bit too quiet for anyone to be comfortable with.

Last night, among the usual hum of the Greenest Inn, a moment may have been lost on those not paying attention. It was near the time when the lanterns burn lowest, casting long shadows over the wooden tables, that Jackard Marks of the Rocky Creek Trade Company made a brief appearance.

Jackard, perhaps best known for his shrewd dealings and watchful gaze, entered with his usual air of quiet confidence. His eyes, always observant, scanned the room before he made his way to the bar, where Orniff, the stout and somewhat gruff dwarf who owns the inn, was polishing glasses.

The two exchanged greetings that seemed cordial, but it was what followed that has sparked curiosity. They leaned in close, speaking in hushed tones that were drowned out by the clinking of mugs and the low murmur of the late-night crowd of residents and travelers alike.

After a brief conversation, Jackard produced a sealed letter, its contents unknown, and handed it to Orniff. The dwarf nodded, tucking it away with a kind of reverence and discretion that spoke of its importance. They shared a final, knowing look – one that seemed to carry the weight of unspoken words and secrets.

As quickly as he arrived, Jackard departed, leaving only the most observant wondering what it was all about.

Archon Yuri Lichelina was seen bringing crates of wolf hides to the Refugee camp located near Greenest. And by the looks of it there was definitely more than enough to go around for every refugee present, if not two hides for each. It is said that after providing the hides he had offered them any protection they may require should they ask, as well as shelter in his own home from the winter if any may need it. In addition to jobs, and possibly even aid with housing, should they wish to settle come spring. After staying for a few moments to ensure that the hides were properly distributed he patrolled the general area to ensure safety from preying wild and low life before heading off.

The refugees taking shelter around Greenest have been eating very well lately. At least those who like to eat fish and crayfish stew.
A young, horned wildling man and his close companion, a ginger-haired halfling can often be seen fishing in the vicinity. The wildling is an excellent teacher, he and his halfling partner pull large amounts of fish from the bountiful creek while chatting happily. Everything they catch, (with the exception of the nicest bass caught that day, which they'll share for their own meal together) is given free of charge to the local inn keep. A few coins are also given to the inn keep so that he may pay his staff for the cleaning, cooking and distribution of the fish.

Rumors in Uldoon's Trail

Rumor had spread of a woman that was wanted by Greenest authority figures for various crimes. Several adventurers headed out in search for the criminal. All headed to the direction south, towards the Greenfields. It would be the next day, a man that looked like a scoundrel or maybe even a pirate returned to Greenest asking about a reward.

Let it be known the man known as Sel, had successfully completed the Bounty Hunt for the Rogue Mage.

Na'Karia can be seen leaving the area of the Greenfields after something happened. She and the rest of the Vindicators had returned to Greenest with their missing people, however one was unconscious and the other....the other was in a body bag. Those of the village would see her leave early in the morning before dawns first light. Some who saw her eyes would say that they were devoid of emotions, that there seemed to be nothing in them other than an empty pool of Gold colored fire. She made no mention of where she was going or if she would return, none in the village dared to ask the Favored of Kossuth her destination. But it is rumored that a Shadow followed her in her steps. Almost looming over her in a way.

It's hard to say who or what that Shadow was, but she was very aware of it being there so close to her. Wherever it is she is heading, it is safe to say that the Vice Archon of the Vindicators won't be alone.

No Refuge for Refugees
Image

A city square meeting took place in Greenest among its leadership that was interrupted by the arrival of Castus. Following a tense armed standoff his demands to meet with Queen Scatterheart were met. It is unknown what was said in the meeting but he flew off without further incident.

Regardless following these events the refugees outside of Greenest are no longer welcome outside of Greenests walls. Instead they are being transfered to the manor of Archon Yuri Lichelina of the Myradon Vindicators. Whatever this could mean for their future is uncertain, though that is hardly a change from before. Still, it is likely they will be well kept for. And perhaps the sturdy walls will offer some comfort.

Castus' visit seems to attract the attention of others. After arriving in Greenest for a meeting with Archon Lichelina, a young half-elf elects to remain at the local inn in case the fallen paladin returns with an army. It is the same woman who had months ago been carried in from the north, though she somehow looks far worse now than she did then: Pale and thin, with bleached hair and quick to tire.

There are murmurs among those who witnessed her conversation with Yuri that she was killed by the ex-paladin, and brought back by Mystra to redeem him. She seems to take the matter seriously... though it is also clear that her choice to accept Mystra's request weighs heavily upon her spirit, and she has paid a steep price for this opportunity...

It was a night like many others in the Greenfields. Selune was about to go to rest, after having illuminated the celestial vault, while the nocturnal creatures followed the example of the Moonmaiden. Everything was normal, and the people seemed to slowly awaken, when suddenly the quiet was interrupted by a cry that echoed in the valley, at dawn.

"HYAAAAH!"

The wagon, which appeared to be carrying several barrels, was now crossing the Greenfields. With an escort armed with crossbows, not too large to attract attention but enough to dissuade common bandits, they killed or scared away anyone foolish enough to get in their way with cheap ambushes.

At first, one would have thought that the caravan was headed towards Amn, Nashkel specifically. Instead, a more attentive eye would have noticed that whatever they were carrying made a sudden detour to reach a lodge not too far from the Amnian border, close to the mountains.

Supplies, for whatever reason, had arrived.

Border Skirmish
Image

Following the events of the border skirmish between Inquisition, Arcane Liberation Front and the Myradon Vindicators plus Allied Forces Archon Yuri Lichelina releases a statement.
In the wake of the events on Ches 23, a multitude of narratives have emerged, casting long shadows over the intentions and actions of those involved. As the Myradon Vindicators, we feel compelled to share our perspective to dispel the fog of misinformation.

Foremost, we must express our absolute denunciation of the heinous acts committed by Tyrelius and the Arcane Liberation Front under his rule. His path, paved by a perilous creed of 'the ends justify the means,' is one we have consciously avoided. Our involvement near the Amnian border was driven not by support for his cause, but by an unwavering commitment to protect innocent lives ensnared in the crossfire of a conflict not of their making.

The Myradon Vindicators have always been, first and foremost, defenders of the vulnerable. Our history is a testament to this truth, underscored by the countless we've shielded from harm and continue to do so. When we learned of the impending confrontation at the border near Rhonmark Hill, our response was dictated not by allegiance to any faction, but by a deep-seated duty to prevent the loss of innocent life - a consideration seemingly absent from the calculations of the combatants involved.

The toll of this conflict, measured in lost lives and shattered dreams, is a heartrending tragedy. It serves as a grim reminder of the true cost of conflict and the destructive power of hatred.

The declaration by Inquisitor Micaela Navar, branding our organization as an enemy of Amn, profoundly misrepresents our intentions and actions. Our goal is not confrontation but conciliation. We are not adversaries of the people or the leadership of Amn; our crusade is against injustice and the indiscriminate persecution of the innocent. It always has been and always will be. Only the truly evil and reprehensible have anything to fear. This branding placed upon us will not stop us from placing our lives on the line the people of Nashkel in times of conflict as we had done prior. If we are enemies of anything it would be of The Inquisition.

It is our sincere hope that the people of Amn, and the international community at large, will look beyond the surface to see the truth. We are wholly committed to transparency, dialogue, and cooperation in our efforts to foster a world where safety and harmony prevail.

To the mages of Amn still trapped within: we understand the trials you have endured and the unjust difficult choices forced upon you. Everyone deserves a life of peace, righteousness, freedom and liberty - a life in which tomorrow brings prosperity and hope rather than suffering and stagnation regardless of who they are. It is our sincere hope that you find a place offering you so much and more.

To the leaders and citizens of Amn, we offer our hand in peace, with the hope that dialogue will triumph over division. Let us unite to mend the wounds of this unfortunate conflict and pave the way for a future free from the specter of such strife.

Prosperity through Harmony, bulwark of hearth and home,

Archon Yurielendorimbor "Yuri" Lichelina
Though anyone closely familiar with the Archon knows that this is neither the first armed conflict that the Myradon Vindicators have had with the Inquisition nor the last. And the truth of the public statement posted is likely read between the lines.

Open House
Image

Following prior events the manor of Archon Yuri Lichelina has seen an increase in activity. With a wide variety of personages making visit to speak to the Archon.

It's becoming an open secret that he is meeting just about anyone and everyone that wishes to speak regarding to what has happened, if only due to a good amount of people asking the citizenry of Greenest directions to his home.

While the contents of conversation remain behind closed doors it doesn't take too educated a guess to figure out what it is about or for.

(( If anyone wishes to speak to Yuri consider this an open invitation whenever I'm online or not. I'll try to be online as much as possible to accommodate. Just toss me a tell when you knock on the gate. ))

Dreaded Patrol

Image

A vampire was sighted on the midnight leading to the 2 Tarsakh 1360, leading a host of ghouls and skeletons. The small horde of undead patrolled the Uldoon Trail, from the broken tower all the way to the hill above Greenest, killing any living thing in its path, hissing ominous words in the air, and leaving a trail of desecration.

Image

For any undead that fell, more would arise from the ground to join the macabre patrol. The clattering of bones and raucous howling continued until the break of dawn, when the undead seemingly vanished without a trace. The only signs of their passage were the many footprints left around the road, and the bones of those who fell during the frenzied carnival, still imbued with negative energy.
