A bladesinger appears

Unread post by Tantive »

Elyssa Symbaern arrived in En Dharasha Everae, a familiar face to its people there. She greeted the elders and made talk with the elves there. The sun elf is making rounds asking if the village is in need of her service, especially for the coming winter. For the time, it appears, that the bladesinger will assist the rangers with their patrols until she knows what needs the village may have. She was graciously offered to rest in a house in a shared space.

Oh so serious?

While others took care of the important and serious things, someone was put to a forced break without a task for the people lately. A male Sunelf with golden blonde hair and a famle Moonelf with blue hait could have been oberheard talking about a challenge moons ago. A small conetst, that obviuosuly was still not forgotten. So the time for frolicing about joyful things has come, the challenge was accepted!

A while later, posters and flyers could be found by each elf and those non-elves with a friends token of Doron Amar. They invite them all to hold their breath for a moment and enjoy life. An event at Spring Equinox was to come, in order to lift the spirits.

((OOC Note: The location of Doron Amar was picked for RP reasons, otherwise this event may not have taken place at all. But there may be other events in the future in more public places. Promiseed!

Attention, Attention! I had to make little Time adjustments, given the USA had their daylight savinigs already. So for our US friends it will be an hour later. Thanks for the understandng.

This little event will happen on Sunday 19th March at 19.00 GMT/ 20.00 GMt+1/ 12 PM PST/ 2 PM CST/ 3 PM EST.. There will be two hours planned for the two with the contest. But people are of course invited to join in the entertainment after as well. :) ))

A group of elves, three of which were from Doron Amar of which one being a councillor, had passed through the village the same day the events rumouring about a fated paladin force encounter, and the appearance of Cyric at Boareskyr. The elves didn't seem to return that day to En Dharasha Everae however.

Tiawyn leaves a message for everyone to see how feels concerned by the Castus matter.

We arrived in Waterdeep by Teleport and soon went to the House of Wonders, to talk to the first Enchanter.

Sendings and Scryings did not reach (the Forgotten One). Jak went ahead to show us the sights. So we soon found the hpuse of Castus's brother Enoch. After a while he showed himself, being the Master of Transmutation he is. After some artistic work of conviction with Rose Wintertal and an offerd book from Mathilde, he finally answered a few questions.

He seemed very angry and convinced that his brother is past Redemption. It seems to be a given that Castus has to be killed. Enoch sent us off before he woild do something we all would have regreted.

Arrived in Water's Edge, to look for (the Forgotten One), we didn't find him. We found, the place was on fire. After defeating the Sharrans, the Unreavellers have taken over. We agreed i would go to the temple in Waterdeep and ask for reinforcements. But those were not needed. Finding themselves outnumbered, Rose and Mathilde returend as well and we telepoerted back to the coast.

Results:

(The Forgotten One) was not found and we can not even figure out, where he may be. Anything at this point would be mere speculation without any proof of facts.

What we learned is, the Spirit, the so called spark of the divine, seens to be from Sune. This spirit is simply drawn by very strong emotions. In Castus's case that would be his anger and hate of the magic that he wants to destroy.

If that spirit could be seperrated from Castus, that would take his Antimagic Field from him. Mystra and Shar both want him dead.

I will mostly make it my task to gather herbs and get non magical healing supplies made in case we are not able to cast spells when the time comes to face Castus. If anyone has need of me, please leave word and send for me, literally. UNtil hen i can be basically everywhere.

Of children and favourite stories

There was probably already a rumour that a red-haired sun elf had settled in "En Dharasha Evarae". Although she had only been seen sporadically at first, she had now been in the settlement for at least a few days at a time.
She was dressed in a simple green and brown robe. Her matted reddish-brown hair, in which small twigs and leaves had become entangled, was perhaps the most striking feature.
She was sitting on the ground on the edge of one of the main squares in the early afternoon. In her hands were parchment stretched on a wooden board and a charcoal pencil.

She gently tried to attract the attention of the children and asked them about their favourite stories. Whether it was stories about brave hunters, mystical fairy creatures or brave children like her. Or whether the little ones liked completely different stories. It was as if she took the answers seriously and wanted to memorise them.

She made an offer to every child who was brave enough to give an answer to the person, who might still be a stranger. They were allowed to name an animal that they liked or, alternatively, a plant. And then she drew the named animal or plant from memory. At least, as long as it wasn't too exotic.
She drew accurate lines and tried to reproduce the animal or plant as precisely as possible. It was not the free art of a artisan, but the precision of a scholar. As she drew from memory, she may have missed out some of the deeper details, but they were still good or even very good pictures.

She let the children watch her draw and answered any questions they might have. About the motifs, but also about her drawing technique.

Stories in Misty Forest

Image

OOC: This small event about storytelling is set on 12th of October, the organized main gathering will slowly start at 6 p.m. GMT
The message as text:

Stories in Misty Forest

The nights are getting rougher,
The days are losing their warmth

As in the old days, may the fire warm the body.
As in the old days, may stories illuminate the mind.

In „En Dharasha Everae“, a day of stories is to take place on
the 12th day of the current month.

Come and listen or contribute a story yourself.
Whether legend, fable, experience or just a story for amusement.

Even though the village will be full of stories,
there will be a larger gathering in or in front of the village tavern.
At the time, as the sun will be starting to sunk behind the trees.

Storytelling in Misty Forest - 11 Marphenoth 1360

The Day of Stories in “En Dharasha Everae” was concluded in the village tavern towards evening with a gathering. New residents came, as well as older villagers. There were also wandering elves and guests from Doron Amar. Perhaps the boundaries blurred just this evening.
Tramahsthas from Doron Amar and Naer'eanque from Dharasha hosted the evening. They were also the ones who had organized the gathering.
Both opened the evening not only with words of greeting, but also with their stories. After an initial nervousness, Naer'eanque began with a story “The White Stag”, which was about two villages.

Tramahsthas touched the hearts of those present with a story and poem about a lost love and the fleeting moment of feeling love in the heart for the first time. Even the hearts of the village elders, who were close to the transition to Arvandor, seemed moved.

Deleniel followed with a story from her past among the Fey and one of her sisters.
While Natariel told an instructive story about an elven architect and perfection down to the smallest aspect of a thing.

Then Tirion reported, after aspecial request of one of the village elders, from one of his adventures, which lead to an experience with an Avariel.
Finally, Shaher reported on her hard past, during which it became clear that her former tormentors should be punished into the sand without being sharpened.

Vind and Caelnae kept watch over the event throughout the evening. Since the door of the tavern opened a time or two, their sharp eyes had plenty to do.
Deleniel treated the visitors to mushroom stew and drinks.

After midnight had passed and the last story was told, the group dispersed. Hopefully with inspiration in their hearts and memories of a good time.

Mendel’s return to En Dharasha Everae, the hidden elven refuge within the Misty Forest, was marked by a quiet sense of familiarity. The village’s silver-barked trees and lantern-lit walkways welcomed him like an embrace from a long-forgotten dream. Old friends greeted him warmly, their faces unchanged by time, voices carrying echoes of shared hunts, youthful laughter, and the bonds of kinship that even distance could not sever. Yet among the familiar were new faces, young elves who had grown into their strength and strangers who had taken refuge in the settlement. Meeting them was a reminder that the village lived on, always changing, yet rooted in the same ancient soil.

Image

In the end, as he lingered among the people, Mendel felt the truth he had always known. Despite the passing years, the shifting seasons, and the countless journeys beyond the trees, the purpose of En Dharasha Everae had not wavered. Their destiny was not just to survive but to endure together, carrying the eternal hope of the elves: to find home. The “Destiny of the People” was more than words—it was the heart of their struggle, the quiet flame that lit their way forward. Mendel’s return was not just a reunion, but a reminder that his path, like that of his people, was always drawn toward that same, enduring purpose.

The ranger Mendel, Villi of En Dharasha Everae, respectfully calls for a meeting to be held tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:00 PM EST in the council room. Recent rumors concerning En Dharasha Everae have reached his attention, and he believes they merit open discussion rather than quiet speculation. All who have an interest in the well-being of the village, or who wish to hear and speak on these matters, are invited to attend.

A copy of the mission statement as described by one fo the founders, Laisren Ua Tiernan is attached below Mendel's message
The mission of En Dharasha Everae is to provide a safe place where all elven kind and likeminded can live free from physical and spiritual persecution. To allow the freedom to contribute only what one wishes to and yet partake in the bounty of all.

The founding members of En Dharasha Everae _ seek to provide this not out of resentment or ill will of past ventures, but out of love for their brethren whom they hold in the highest regard. This community is born from the strengths of all elven kind; mind, spirit and arm.

Echoes Under the Candlelight
A beautiful event organized by empoweredfan ( Character Deleniel )

The canopy of the Misty Forest was alive with the soft, bioluminescent glow of the woods, a perfect backdrop for the gathering Deleniel had so meticulously arranged. Elves from across the hidden village sat inside the tavern along with the human druid, Sane - who by now was considered as much a part of the village as any elf - their voices rising and falling in a rhythmic tapestry of shared history. Under the flickering amber of the candlelight, everyone exchanged stories and poems that were accompanied by the rich aromas of the feast Deleniel had prepared and served with tireless grace. It was a rare moment of true communal peace, where the sharp edges of their daily struggles were smoothed over by the simple magic of a well-told tale and the warmth of a shared fire.

Image

Mendel, however, remained a silent observer throughout the festivities, his nature as a stalker keeping his stories locked behind a quiet, vigilant gaze. Once the laughter died down and the villagers retreated to their beds, he climbed to a lonely tree-top house, standing where the night air bit with a familiar chill. He stared out into the sea of dark branches, though his eyes were fixed on a horizon miles beyond the Misty Forest. Touching the Verdant Pulse at his neck, he whispered the simple lines he had recited a thousand times since his return from the High Forest, his voice barely a breath against the wind:

"The leaf glows green against the dark,
a pulse for you, a steady spark.
The miles are long, the woods are cold,
but I keep the promise that we hold.
I am here, I am whole."

Shadows Beneath the Misty Canopy

Mendel had expected the journey through the Misty Forest to feel different with a stranger beside him, yet Anarion of Elventree walked the woodland paths as though he had always belonged there. When they arrived at the quiet elven village of En Dharasha Everae, they were greeted by Natariel and Traum, and not long after, Deleniel joined them . The introductions were warm but brief; before long a ranger approached with troubled news. One of their own, a young ranger named Kethaira, had not returned to the village for over a day. Without hesitation Mendel gathered Deleniel Natariel, and Anarion, and they set out to follow her trail. They stopped first at the outer watch, where the rangers guarding the village eagerly shared everything they knew with Deleniel. Mendel noticed again what he had always believed to be true: no matter who held authority, Deleniel remained the living heart and soul of En Dharasha Everae.

The tracks led northward beneath the deepening canopy of the Misty Forest. The trail was clear enough for elven eyes, though the forest itself felt uneasy. Before long the group encountered a small band of orcs moving clumsily. The clash was brief and decisive, and soon the forest fell quiet again. Not long after, they found Kethaira. She lay on the ground, her body still and pale beneath the dim forest light. Natariel knelt beside her and examined the wound carefully, her expression darkening. The ranger had been struck from behind by a small blade, driven with deadly precision - a lethal strike that few could deliver so cleanly.

Image

Anarion knelt among the plants surrounding the clearing, placing his hands upon the soil and whispering to the leaves and roots. The druid listened for several long moments before rising again. The forest had spoken: Kethaira had not been killed here. Her body had been brought to this place after the deed was done, by those with light steps. At that moment Deleniel’s sharp senses caught something else - movement above them. From the high canopy came the faint scraping of legs along bark and branches. Spiders. Mendel reacted instantly. He raised his bow and loosed a single arrow into the shadows above. With a stroke of fortune the shot struck true, and one of the creatures fell from the branches. Anarion quickly secured it for closer study, handling the creature with careful precision.

No proof lay before them, yet every sign pointed toward the same unsettling conclusion: the hand of the drow. With quiet reverence they carried Kethaira’s body back toward the village so she could be given a proper burial among her people. Anarion remained just outside the settlement, carefully examining the spider while ensuring no danger would follow it within the village bounds. Though sorrow hung heavily over En Dharasha Everae, Mendel found himself watching the druid with a faint smile. It had been a long time since he had seen an elven druid work with such patience and care. In truth, he knew exactly how long it had been - since the day Nai had left with him for the High Forest.

A Pact in the Stone Silence

Within the cold, high-vaulted walls of a secluded keep, far from the prying eyes, Mendel met with Uralia, a priestess of the Dark Maiden. The air between them was thick with the weight of centuries of racial scars, yet a shared focus on the "rot" invading the woods bridged the divide. Uralia spoke in low, rhythmic tones of a shadow that did not belong to the natural world - something ancient and demonic that had begun to seep into the Misty Forest like a slow-acting venom. She warned that the attack on the fallen ranger was no random act of violence, but a calculated strike from an abyssal influence that preys on the very grace elves hold dear. In that quiet stone chamber, an unconventional alliance was forged, a pact of mutual defense and shared intelligence that bound the ranger to a daughter of the Underdark in a desperate bid to preserve the balance.

Image

The gravity of their promises hung heavy on Mendel as he departed the keep, his mind racing with the priestess’s warnings about what the elves must now guard against. He moved with a renewed, urgent speed, bypassing the usual paths to reach the elven village in the heart of the Misty Forest. Upon his arrival, the usual melodic peace of the settlement was replaced by a stifling, uneasy silence. The fallen ranger had now been strictly isolated from the rest of the kin, kept in a quarantine.

A Vow Within the Mist

The canopy of the Misty Forest hung low, a heavy veil of silver fog masking the grief of the gathered companions. Larael, Sane, Natariel, Elyssa, Naer’eanque Laoise and Mendel - they were all there to help Kethaira. While Laoise’s voice echoed with the hollow resonance of the Speak with Dead spell, the answers she retrieved were cold and clinical, providing the "where" but offering no comfort for the the "who" or "why." Naer’eanque moved with practiced precision, arranging the diamonds around Kethaira’s still form as the others shared fragments of the ranger’s life - stories of her sharp wit and her swifter arrows. Yet, as the incantation reached its crescendo and the magic surged, it found no anchor. The soul of the ranger remained beyond the veil; Kethaira had looked upon the peace of the eternal and chosen not to return to the weary world of the living.

Image

A deafening silence crashed over the temple when the glow finally faded. Larael began a search for some technical failure in the weave, while Naer’eanque paced, her mind racing for a different ritual, a stronger catalyst - anything to undo the stillness. Seeing his kin spiraling into the denial of their grief, Mendel stepped forward, his presence a grounding force amidst the swirling mist. With a heavy hand on Naer’s shoulder, he gently signaled for her to stop. The ritual hadn't failed because of a mistake; it had succeeded in revealing a final truth. The ranger was gone, and the greatest mercy they could offer her now was the permission to rest.

They prepared Kethaira for her final journey, cleaning the forest loam from her brow and tucking her weathered equipment into the bier so she might walk the path of the ancestors fully armed. Mendel knelt beside her and whispered into the quiet, "Rest now, my kin. We will scout the caves, we will find what happened, we will avenge you." He reached out, his fingers closing around a single fletched arrow from her quiver -a grim promise of what was to come. That night, the entire village held a silent vigil, the flickering torchlight lost in the fog, as they collectively bore the weight of a loss that the Misty Forest would not soon forget.
