Drunken Storm
On the eve of 27th Mirtul 1361, Soubar saw the passing of two particularly loud visitors. The first, a menacing mountain orc, dragging a vast array of gruesome trophies, and the other a savage-looking tiefling woman nearly matching her companion in size. As some of the other visitors hurried themselves away, the pair spent some time by the market, pawning off loot and chatting in what appeared to be the orcish tongue.

When their business was concluded, looking somewhat in good spirits, the two of them moved into the tavern. Soon enough no ending of yelling and cheering could be heard from inside, as a mere exchange of drinks quickly developed into a vicious contest between the two savages. The battle was hard-fought, with either side seemingly slowing down only to catch up once again... but eventually, the orc man emerged victorious.

The pair stumbled outside once more, one propping himself on the other, the orc laughing and the tiefling singing an out-of-tune song in Illuskani. They disappeared for a few hours into the swamps north of the city, and, not too long after, the rumbling of a powerful and sudden storm could be heard booming and shaking the place.
Image
As quickly as it started, the whole ruckus was over, and the orc was stumbling drunkenly back into Soubar, carrying a very angry tiefling over his shoulder.
The two of them seemed to be finally calming down, resting by one of the fires and munching on some of the local delicacies, until the tiefling decided to pick on a passing drow traveler, having seemingly taken offense at her glasses, for some reason.

The two women and their male companions exchanged words for a while, and though it might seem at first as if a fight might be brewing, cooler heads eventually prevailed, and the rambling discussion came to nothing. Finally, the four left, each going their separate ways, and granting the little outpost some temporary quiet.

On the evening of 10 Kythorn 1361, the frontier town of Soubar saw some increased activity, as a traveling monk often seen passing by the area was asking local mages to weave spells against him in order to test the limits of his training.
First to offer himself for the task was Ssethrik, a green-skinned tiefling often seen in the town for the past month or so. Then followed a more recent arrival, the scholar Parrente.

While the display of arcane skills and physical resilience was ongoing, an Ogre Magi walked to the group, attracted by the commotion. After a brief exchange of words, the giant stated that he had come to Soubar to look for potential business ventures on behalf of his mysterious employer, and offered significant rewards to those who could aid him.
After taking notes following a preliminary exchange of information, the Ogre left, promising that he would return at a later date.

On the morning of 27 Kythorn 1361, a sudden fight took place in the middle of Soubar. The two people involved, clearly northerners from their speech and appearance, were a dour tiefling woman, and an old human hunter. After sizing each other up for a while, the man begun addressing the woman in a mocking tone, an act that resulted in a very quick and violent retaliation from the demonspawn, who skewered the old hunter in very short order, dedicating her victory to the Destroyer.

A blonde woman in a flowing blue dress stands before the damaged Black Abbey, her brow slightly raised. The entryway is buried in rubble, as if the building itself is resisting visitors. She tilts her head, wondering— when might this Abbey be clear for entry?

Auction Aghornaq

The most faithful cult of Aghornaq will summon His Dark Grace, the balor Aghornaq, within Soubar to host an auction this coming day! He will offer items of abyssal might for prices paid by mortals!

His Fiery Dark Grace may also be willing to listen to pleas of those wishing to serve or present greater offering for a chance at His Unholy Boons!

At sunset, a sacrifice will be made, and Lord Aghornaq will be summoned!
Short notice, but I feel like doing a bit of fun in Soubar with an auction tomorrow.

A new figure has made herself a fixture nearby Lena, Priestess of Talona. The redheaded tiefling known as Vaile, wearing green ceremonial robes and serving to keep the modest shrine in order, stays close to her sister in faith, quietly conversing as the two take notes on some esoteric topic.

It is not uncommon to see Vaile vomiting into the nearby waste-ditch between visits to Lena, though there is no apparent animosity from the tiefling.

Patrons of the Winding Way would have noticed a bard frequenting the tavern. His golden hair and youthful face might seem out of place for Soubar, though his music less so.

Rowdier nights occasionally feature fiery songs that oft refrence the infernal
