*It seems no matter what terror or threat faces the Sword Coast, the recruit Norin Brows was busy doing another day at the office hearing out a case of a Missing Person. People shopping in the Wide and the many merchants likely overheard two individuals were reporting a man named Alan Copperchime who went missing. The ever dutiful recruit took down all the information needed then soon headed to the Citadel to file the official Missing Persons Report. It would be later two posters were being put up on the notice board by a City Watchman in the Wide and other Districts in the city.*

Osric, upon seeing the missing persons poster, would report that Alan is recuperating in the Vale estate and that he is not missing as of 30 Mirtul 1361.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
A broad female figure wandered through the lower city and harbor destricts. She had greyish skin and protruding teeth that stood out in her angular face. Shells and stones smoothed by the water were woven into her long, thick, dark brown hair.
She was dressed in simple leather clothing.
With a deeper alto voice she proclaimed, with an admonishing undertone:

As she called out, she rattled with a beautifull formed seashell - bigger as her own sturdy hand. The shell seemed to be something like a collection box.

*Subtle eye's lurk in the many shadows of the Lower City, observing the broad female as she went around collecting donations in the name of the Queen of Depths. The female would go around unmolested as if ..given free passage to do so. The Guild didn't attempt to touch the woman's coin purse nor disrupt the woman's collection of donations.
Was the woman known to The Guild? Or was there some unknown reason the woman was allowed her doings? Either way, no member of the local thieves guild bothered her*

and let no service be performed in her name without price.
Make folk fear the wind and the waves,
unless a priest of Umberlee be present to protect them."

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
Meanwhile...
Precious little has been seen or heard of the masked figure that stalked the city in the wake of Robb's arrest. No new blood flyers have gone up since the first wave; no new "purchases" have been reported; and if not for the Militia leader's near-escape from captivity, one could be forgiven for thinking the quiet war brewing in the shadows had at last come to a close.
Even less has been heard of Strong's last remaining peer, Virin, who seemed to disappear outright when he was arrested. With the last of their leaders scattered into the wind, and their suspected enemies in the Chalice of Siamorphe cleared of all charges, it seems the Common Cause has finally met its end: Not a moment too soon, some might say.
And what has Lord Hargrove been up to since his release? There has certainly been no shortage of activity at his estate these past few months: A failed burglary, thought to have been aided by magic; a new maid, now often seen on various errands outside the estate; and new visitors coming in from parts unknown. Is he trying to make up for time and influence lost in custody, or is there a more sinister purpose to the Scion of Siamorphe's recent actions?
Whatever the case, those in the know will surely have realized one thing:
The shadow war is only just beginning.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
The Shipwright sat with a workbench in front of him, his shipyard behind him. The first shafts of morning light were beautiful enough it might make one consider Lathander a bit harder. The torches from the night before were burning low, and soon the hard labor of the port would stir to life. The tireless line of ants about their duties.

It's rumored that the Shipwright Aidan Thatcher is seen, during the day, working outside of the shipyard. His eyes were poring over the ships of the port, keenly seeking out something within mental reach yet invisible to the naked eye. He was having moments of awakening to whatever it was, his hand quilled out words in a bound leather book. The pen dabbed repeatedly for ink as he underlined details and perhaps even crossed some out.

He made scrawlings on parchment using sticks of graphite held in a metallic instrument, and moving about with tools of measurement over the large parchment canvas and drawing upon it, the artist at work. He paid attention when one of the workers came to ask a question, but it was rather out of place for those who visit the harbor to know the man not to be hands-on in every process of repair, building, or preparing lumber. Though he would go in to check on the process, he refused to let that leather-bound book out of his hand. Something else held his attention, and it was clear he was determined to stay on track.

By late afternoon, he was using a different set of tools with small sections of wood. He could be seen piecing together the keel and ribs of a ship model. He finally settled with the last of the ribs in place, and he would finish the frame for this ship later. One last look to the project inside, a move of his table into the shop, and he left for home with the wood model, the parchment sketch, and the journal.

*Notices were put up around the city, if anyone knows of or has any information of a gang called the Tar Tale Brawlers, they are to report to the City Watch. Citizens of Baldurs would be asked to keep a look out for a group of Goblins that might be within the city or her surrounding lands. If a group of Goblins are seen, witnesses are to report to the City Watch Immediately*

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
It was always just before first light that the shipwright found himself on the docks. If there was anything more that he enjoyed beyond the affections of a good woman, the feel of the wind in his hair, the smell of the sea, or the absolute nostalgia of sailing, it was being at the docks before the sun came over the buildings to cast shadows. He had taken today off from work after spending extra time on the latest repairs.

Aidan could be seen by anyone on the docks this day, offering pointers to youthful fishers who hadn't fully come to know the vessels they use. He'd be heard speaking about proper care of the boats. Before long, as the day pressed on, he would stand in the open looking about the docks and those generally passing through. Noticing the wary, the poorer dressed, and those who seemed to be asking for work. His whistle could be heard well enough as he offered help to anyone who would listen.

"I'm a shipwright, and many of you know me. For those who don't, I'm Aidan Thatcher." He cups his hands together and rubs them a bit, "You don't have to heed me and can go about your way, but I'm offering to teach the eight most common knots in sailing. As well as a few of those used special circumstances. I believe this, and further visits I will be making, may help you learn a trade skill. One that helps both you and your family, as well as the port. That each should prosper. Perhaps some of you would wish to sail as merchantmen, others might join the fishing market by working on fishing doggers, others yet, some of you more confident men would seek to join the naval fleet. Though for the last, you would have to pass the required training of the Navy. But it can all start here, I've brought rope, I've brought wood dowels, and I wish to help in teaching sailors knots." For those who take an interest, he would teach them the knots. Aidan would patiently wait and help those who fall behind. He doesn't leave till he's certain those who took an interest learn the knots.

Aidan would leave for home hoping this will lead to more desire for training in other forms, and a genuine interest for those seeking positions to be of use to the city. Either way he left feeling like he'd tried to help the city grow, even if in a small way.

Upon Carys' return to the Shrine of the Suffering, after news of a horrific scene outside the Blushing Mermaid, a runner is sent around the Lower Districts. Rumors spread word of tainted food, and to avoid all foodstuffs sold by Tarrenfeldt & Sons, the Luskan distributors... and for any feeling the effects of sickness to come by the Shrine or another Temple with all haste.

*It wasn't long that members of The Guild spread word within the fold, to check all food supplies stored an not stored and to dump any that might had been purchases from the Luskan distributors Tarrenfeldt & Sons. With word of Tarrenfeldt & Sons bannishment, The Guild would send out footpads to keep an eye and ear out for this company.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
*The City Guard Norin Brows was recently in the best of moods after a string of peaceful days on his patrols. But such a thing was short lived after running into a man known as Koolah who wanted to file a corruption complaint against two fellow City Watchmen.
However during the questioning, the recruit realize there really wasn't any form of crime committed. In fact, the only element that was questionable, was the mans admittance of caring a persons remains, specifically a skull.
Norin Brows soon after went to the City Watch Outpost to file an information report at the least.*
((Not IC Knowledge, for DM's Only Use))
Information Report
Person of Interest: Koolah Salukeeaka
Subject: False Corruption Complaint
On the 9th of Flamerule, I encountered the man known as Koolah Salukeeaka. He wanted to file a corruption complaint about two city guards. Namely Watchmen Karl and Watchmen Marco. Koolah claims they took his Ted and tossed him in a trash bin. I was confused at first thinking Ted was an actually living person. However it turned out who he claim Ted was, but nothing but a human skull. I see why my fellow Watchmen would dispose of such a thing and thought the drunken man as drunk beyond belief if not mentally ill. After further questioning, I see nothing that shows evidence of Watchman Karl and Marco to have done anything in regards of corrupting or abuse of their authority.
However, Mr Koolah claims if he is unable to reclaim the skull , whom he calls Ted, he verbally declared and I quote.."Dis city got a hells of a problem!". I would advise the others to keep a close watch on the his man. In case he does make some sort of hostile act against our beloved city of Baldurs.
For your acknowledgement and disposition.
Recruit Norin Brows.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
*Before the sun had set, the recruit Norin Brows was seen walking with a noble woman Charisa of House Flomeigne. They would had been seen coming from the Wide and heading to the Citadel, while they gave polite nods to citizens and other Watchmen alike along the way. It was soon after they took to seating within the City Watch Head Quarters that the Recruit gave many recounts of what took place within the beloved city in the past year.
What was spoken throughout most of the night, only they would know unless either of them shared what happened. As for the dutiful recruit, he continued his nightly patrols to help maintain order as well as uphold the law of Baldur's Gate. But in his mind...many events of the past year played over in his head. He couldn't help wonder just how much longer would he remain a recruit.*
*Also...Norin Brows was seen in the Wide soon after, disassembling a tent while spitting curses, that someone unknown has erected in the streets. He soon voiced out in the Market square...!
-"Vagrancy including loitering, sleeping in the streets, and begging, will result in immediate escort to the slums of the Wide, and possibly a fine as per the Laws of Baldur's!"
