In the past few tendays, the Everwatch are said to have vigilantly patrolled Nortern Amn and in the lands north of it. In course of their patrols, they have attempted to stand watch over the mine of Nashkel as well as over the remnants of the Icedawn rebellion against Amn. It is said that the Icedawn and Everwatch are in a cease fire of sorts for the moment that seems to have held...with no new cold aggression against Nashkel or Amn and with the Everwatch not having recently destroyed found Aurilite shrines in the Cloud Peaks...Time will tell if vigilance and the servants of the Frozen Maiden will inevitably clash once more or if the uneasy truce may hold...

In recent tenday the business folk of The Golden Wheel company are said to have enterprised into great riches in the mines between Gullykin, Beregost, and Nashkel. They also are said to have met on various topics of business in Northern Man over multiple tenday, electing a new Chair of the Board of the company, Kiroth.

An "odd couple" pair of adventurers met upon the Coast Way in the surrounding of the town names Nashkel, agreeing to undertake an investigation more south, into the foothills and later the Cloudpeaks themselves, which turned into a rewarding journey there and back...back to the comfort and security of a warming fire and well-earned rest.

Soon they would part ways...but as fate has it, those that seek the life of adventure orbit each other upon the Sword Coast, a descending spiral dance not unlike moths to a source of light.....

Over the past and final tendays of the year, the Everwatch patrol vigilantly around Nashkel, but keep a lower profile as they focus on reinforcing the town's defenses and prosperity after recent hardships of the past years. A rumored ceasefire with the Icedawn seems to have held for now... As they march into the mountains and into the fields surrounding Nashkel and within and without of Amn, the words "FOR HELM" echo forward with vigil.

In the current fiscal quarter, the Directors and employees and contractors of the Golden Wheel Company have pursued an extreme thirst for profit throughout Amn and the Western Heartlands. Director Natalia Fernanda speaks of profits flowing like a river of gold to the coffers of the company and prays for endlessly lower labor costs and greater revenues in perpetuity. She prays every day that her investment returns rise and rise and the fortunes of the company end in ever higher riches. It is said she also met with various stakeholders in Northern Amn to keep trade of the company flowing and to defend against the wrath of winter. In the north, it is said she speaks of the Glory of Amn and attempts to civilize what she terms the lowly barbaric and illiterate fisher peoples of this savage and poor region. In the current fiscal quarter of the new accounting year, Director Natalia Fernanda of the Golden Wheel along with Chairman of the Board Kiroth and contractor Afendaria are said to pursue their ferocious appetites for coin. It is rumored that meetings take them into the north of as well as within Amn. It is spoken as well that they attempt to offer financial advisory services to the Rhonmark family in their messy barony succession dispute, but why or how is not publicly as clear... What is perhaps spoken as clear though is that the Golden Wheel Company has a golden eye for profit to begin the fiscal year and its lid never ceases to remain open for business.

For months now a single ginger-haired woman had been visiting the War of the Cloudpeaks Memorial that sits outside the Helmite temple in Nashkel. She never came at a specific time but had always showed up seemingly whenever whatever schedule she had allowed it. There she would stand for long periods of time, reading and reciting each name of those still living that were written on the memorial, committing the names to memory.

Every time she had come to read out the names her countenance was as a storm – her wintry blue eyes would flash with rage and anger and the names she uttered she did so with vengeful intent. “Watcher Wai Li, Captain Sinoc Haven . . .” The loathing in her voice carved her ire into each name when she spoke them out.

Something seemed to have slowly changed over the winter, however. Her visits became less frequent and although she would still glare her spite into the memorial’s stone plaque, she stopped reading the list of names aloud. With every visit the hatred swimming within her eyes remained, but it too slowly seemed to subside.

Then one day the same redhead arrived but she was not alone. A second figure came with her. A shorter, white haired woman wearing black robes had also come along. Together the two stood close before the memorial and a prayer was spoken by the woman in dark clothing.

It is now said the woman with ginger hair no longer approaches the memorial with malice lingering in her expression. Instead, the dudgeon she had once carried has been replaced by something softer. Now whenever she reads the memorial she no longer focuses on the names of the living. Her attention is put entirely on the names of the many dead, and she quietly reads them all to herself with a voice that cradles sorrow and eyes that glisten with respect.

*Rumors from the Mayors house in Amn could likely say, the man known as Sel arrived late to the schedule Ball. He had entered showing his devilish grin as he closely observed the many attendants. Hardly any words were ever spoken other than "So many lovely people" or giving praise to the Amn and the Inquisition. His purpose for arrival unknown but he did casually walked around focusing on few people that were present. Perhaps he arrived only to see what we needed to see, or hear what he needed to hear...*

Following the shocking developments of the ball of succession, the board of the Golden Wheel issued an immediate emergency meeting. At its conclusion, a public statement was immediately issued, to be circulated in Nashkel and beyond:

The Golden Wheel Company would like to extend its most sincere congratulations to the newly appointed Baron Ario Rey. After so many unfortunate events plaguing the late Rhonmark demesne, and in these times of trouble and unrest, we pray for a renewed age of stability and prosperity to grace the northern regions, under a new, worthy dynasty and the wise oversight of the most illustrious Council of Six.
The Golden Wheel Company would like to reiterate its enthusiastic commitment to the most moral pursuit of lawful profit in accordance to the precepts of its guiding deity, the facilitation and investment in private and public enterprises, and of safe and profitable mercantile endeavors in the Trade Way.
Given the troublesome beginnings of this new dynasty, and the delicate nature of any transitory period such as this, the board of the Golden Wheel would like to publicly pledge its openness to fruitful cooperation with the new Baron, and its continued loyalty to the lawful Government of the realm, especially when it comes to the ongoing investigation related to the perplexing and objectionable behavior of the Inspector Garcia during the events of last night's gala, and the troubling accusations levied in its aftermath. The Company would like to reiterate and make clear that it takes the concerns raised by the representatives of the Council of Six with the utmost seriousness, and will do whatever is needed to ensure that any concerns of the esteemed rulers of the Glorious Nation of Amn are cleared to their complete satisfaction.

In order to show the forthrightness of this statement, to ensure impartiality in the ongoing investigations, and to assuage any potential concerns from investors and clients, effective immediately and until further notice, the Chairmanship of the Board of the Golden Wheel Company has been transferred to Director Tathra Rakhlant. The board is confident that, due to his extensive work as a diplomat, healer, political and religious advisor during the Tyrelius rebellion and the Castus heresy, as well as his distinguished heritage, significant investment in the Company, and tireless industry shown in administering the reconstruction efforts and oversight of the Iron Mines, the new Chair will bring both the competence and impartiality that is required to maintain the Golden Wheel on a steady course during this delicate juncture.

On a more personal note, the Golden Wheel Company would like to offer a commendation to the Lady-Knight Belinda Ravenblood, and the most illustrious investor of the Golden Wheel who employed her and ensured her presence during last night's events, the Lady Narasida Zakine-Albrongardo of Amn-Calimshan. It was only due to Lady Belinda's quick reaction that the assault made against the life of the newly appointed Baron Rey was thwarted in a timely manner, preventing any damage to his person, and ensuring that the will of the Council would not be overruled by the irrational violence of a mind allegedly overtaken by a religious fervor. Let her example inspire excellence and virtue upon all those who seek to be known as loyal paragons of the Amnian way of life.

Almost concurrently as the news of Director Fernanda's execution break from Athkatla, messages and spokesmen from the Golden Wheel in Nashkel and the surrounding territories would deliver this public message to Amnians and foreign traders alike:

The Golden Wheel Company expresses its most sincere thanks to the Illustrious Council of Six for the expedite and clean investigation into the troubling affairs related to the Rey Barony. The Company is grateful to the adamantine government of Amn for exposing the most disconcerting treachery laying within its midst, so that it could be dealt with in accordance to Amnian law. The Golden Wheel Company is equally ever-grateful that the Council would be able to recognize, in its insightful wisdom, that the woman responsible for the heinous act of sedition was a lone agent, and that her actions are not in any way exemplary of the Company's leadership or workforce as a whole.
Even so, in the interest of ensuring that complete confidence in this enterprise is restored, the Chair of the board, Director Tathra Rakhlant, has issued an immediate and thorough internal inquiry to ensure that no one else who may have been aware or complicit in the late Director Fernanda's conspiracy remains employed and unprosecuted.
The Director Rakhlant takes this matter very seriously and has taken personal interest to ensure that all avenues are pursued, so as to guarantee that the renewed trust placed upon the Company by the Council of Six is not betrayed.

The Golden Wheel Company wishes to reiterate its dedication to trade ventures and the pursuit of lawful profit within the northern regions, along the Trade Way, and beyond. The Company stands at the dawn of a new beginning, with entirely new leadership at the helm, that will ensure its prosperity and forthrightness. Following a long meeting with the investor Lady Narasida, the Chairman and Director of the Board Tathra would dispatch several messages along the Trade Way, seeking to contact any remaining members of the Golden Wheel still active in the Coast.

The Golden Wheel Trading Company of Amn

requests the presence of any Director of the Board at Nashkel, on the 30th of Eleasis of the current year, in order to discuss recent developments, raise relevant issues, and consider the potential fulfillment of outstanding vacancies within the board itself.
Note that, in the absence of any other members, the Director and Chairman of the Board, Tathra Rakhlant, will proceed to fill a number of vacancies to be determined as of yet, as he sees fit, so as to ensure that the board can reacquire the necessary quorum that is required to legislate company policies in a timely and regular manner.

On the eve of the 29th of Eleasis 1361, the Northern Lights Inn saw an unusual swelling of visitors coming to participate to the general meeting of the Board of Directors and notable representatives of the Golden Wheel Trading Company. Though some of the members trickled out as hours went by, it is said that the meeting proceeded throughout most of the night, with a few small recesses in-between.



Though no old Directors would answer the call, the Golden Wheel board would find itself reinvigorated by the end of the gathering following the addition of four new members: Director Rico B Dorado, Director Belinda Ravenblood, Director Spencer Leonarian, and interim-Director Lady Narasida Zakine-Albrongardo.
Additionally, following the appointment of the new members, the board would vote on an extension of the mandate of the Chairmanship to a full solar year, and an end of the rotation system, which would be replaced with a formal election by majority vote.

Several other matters were discussed behind closed doors, and the patrons of the inn passing by would notice conversations to become somewhat lively at a few points throughout.
By the following morning, Chairman Tathra Rakhlant would issue a public statement to be read in Nashkel and nearby territories often threaded by the Company's traders, announcing the names of the new members of the board, and the Golden Wheel's renewed confidence in a brand new and solidified leadership.
