I noticed that an overwhelming number of skills have been added to the game, but I was wondering if a system to improve them has also been implemented.
Let me explain: in the base game, skills (like Acrobatics, Lore, Lockpicking, etc.) increase when leveling up, and their number is balanced enough for a character to progress them sufficiently with the skill points given.
Now that there are almost twice as many skills as in the base game, it seems quite unlikely to improve them using only the points granted at level-up.
That’s why I’m asking if there’s a system in place to improve skills through in-game training.

10/10 agree. Would love something like this.
As our characters grow and develop they learn and experience the world around them. It would be nice to have something that adapts and evolves with your experiences since most situations happen after lvl 30.

Re: Skills:
Currently, no. With an RCR a player is able to better arrange their skill layout as they see fit, but masterful across the board is mechanically disadvantaging in a static world that doesn't equally scale and change, and at minimum new arbitrary ceilings would need defined across the board. The DMs have something they adhere to wherein the numbers aren't needing to be 30s across the board to still succeed in something, and bringing the PvE side down would lessen the need for someone to try and reach extreme heights or even anything higher than 40 so that they have an opportunity of a wider skill spread.

Re: Skills:
I imagine chars with 0 lore skills in everything become experts having knowledge from simple day-to-day talks understanding matters of planes, magic, history, engineering, crafts and just about any skill.
It's not like people shoud retcon 10 years of conversations cause their hit of level 30 was so many years ago and they get no new points to invest.
RCR is the same case - which expertise should I retcon to cover for hanging around plane specialist for 10 years and another passionate historian babbling at every occasion?
Personally would love getting some points for character years presence on the server and it would cover exactly the abundance of skills that were added.
