Sean Max'el'

Unread post by Sean Maxhell »

After several years of playing on this server with only this character, I’ve finally decided to publish his biography.

Profile

Full name: Sean Max'el', (It would be Sean Maxhell, but since I’ve had issues with people who don’t understand languages other than English, I disguised it.)
Age: Over 40
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Date of birth: A day in Mirtul.
Place of birth: Near Westgate
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Patron deity: Loviatar
Profession: Adventurer
Classes: Cleric/Monk/SacredFist
Primary language: Common

Secondary languages: For hobby he know Infernal.

Physical description: Grey eyes, dark medium-length hair, a fit, athletic, and muscular physique, fond of dark and studded clothing. Sean has a rather attractive face, and he fears this lessens the discomfort of those around him. For this reason, he always wears a disturbing black mask, and his head is always covered by a hood.

Psychological description: Sean’s personality seems at odds with his appearance. His demeanor is harmless yet provocative; he dislikes causing harm without reason but relishes when someone is foolish enough to give him the opportunity. His main grievance is that he grows bored easily, at his advanced age, he believes he has already seen and done much, yet remains unsatisfied with the world around him. He usually travels alone, rarely asks for help, and when he does, his attitude remains irreverent. If he must obtain something from others, he will do so on his own terms, following the path of Loviatar.

Religious views: Sean is devoted to the goddess Loviatar, but not in the manner typical of her clergy. He does not see Loviatar as a goddess to be served, but as a lover to be pleased.
Death is an escape from pain, so Sean has developed a form of 'moral torture': awkward humor, disturbing reasoning, and subtle sarcasm, used to unsettle others without touching them, unless absolutely necessary.
Every joke, every awkward, unsettling, and discomforting interaction he has with those around him, in his twisted mind, is imagined as flirting with Loviatar, making her laugh and brightening her day.
This unique vision of the goddess and his unconventional approach to torture have put him at odds with the rest of the clergy in Westgate.
That is why Sean journeyed west, seeking his own truth about the goddess.

Biography

Family Sean’s parents live in the rural farmlands around Westgate. He also has a sister. As far as he knows, they are all still alive and living their lives far to the east. He doesn’t believe he has any other relatives.

History Sean was born into a poor family in the rural outskirts of Westgate. As a youth, not very tall and physically frail, he often had to defend himself against those who tried to take advantage of him. This forced him to train intensely, with discipline and persistence. Revenge became his reason for living: to make anyone who wronged him pay. Unable to afford weapons or armor, he grew close not only to martial arts but also to the Temple of Loviatar in Westgate, where he served for several years. Eventually, due to his unique relationship with the goddess, he decided to leave the temple and set out for the Sword Coast. Now, being an adventurer is his mission, to become wealthy, powerful, and influential.

Future Sean’s dream is to be recognized. He is the Sacred Fist of Loviatar. Leaving a mark on the Sword Coast is his goal; his greatest aspiration is to erect a temple to Loviatar in the West, even though his solitary nature clashes with the need to recruit followers and other devotees.

Heirloom item (I don't know what you want here)

Plot hooks Sean is drawn to treasures and rewards, especially if he has to use his fists to obtain them. But he’s also interested in discussions about religion or the founding of Loviatar’s temple.
Oh, and he want a Shadow Dragon as a friend/pet.
