That is very much standard. There's people who have been around for 10 years. Imagine what type of items a single person like that could flood the market with if there would be a single epic item found every single dungeon run. It would mean a 1 person can equip 100 active players from just his chest.

Loot is balanced to find one truly good item per year of playing. Then after 10 years you probably have best in slot in every slot just for you... and not 1000 of items you can gift to whole server and still have spares for another army.

I’d like to point out that I’ve been on this forum for at least a year longer than you, and who knows how much longer on the server.
Honestly, I think I’ve pretty much 'made it', and it’s unlikely the server will randomly generate items better than what I already have. But I still keep hoping.

I feel like it hasn't been clearly said in this thread but maybe the experience your looking for is different from the game your playing? As you mentioned in previous posts, you recognized how you had a lot of fun teaming up with people... instead of running the dungeons solo and expecting amazing loot for your time. I think that social aspect is the very essence of why most of us are still here.

BG has been around a long time, and it's very much a social experience. Make friends, build RP, and create a lasting story. You may go through the 'frost keep' 1,000 times, but, the experience is what you make of it. Change it up, create some RP flavor, and bring others along with you to create a story and character development that is unique to you! I truly believe that the BG experience is rooted in player creativity, not to be stifled with the limitations of an almost 20 year old game.

I believe that having the mentality of 'this game should spoon feed my needs' is the wrong way of thinking. Instead it really helps to change your mindset into something like "this game provides me a unique opportunity and creative platform/tools to tell the story that I've always wanted tell about my character". I suppose the question is, do you want to drive the narrative of a the story and build your legacy? or are you just looking for someone to provide content so that you can churn through it and say 'yep I completed that game'.

I'm not trying to be hostile here, but I think its important to understand that "BG The Sword Coast Chronicles" is much more about the journey, building your character, and creating a memorable social experience to enjoy (especially at level 30!). Its a RP focused server... sooo, if your treating it like an action game with the desire to "loot, loot, loot, I need the best, and now I'm frustrated because I'm not getting what I want" then I think maybe it would help to step back and look at it from a different perspective. This world is a timeless place for adventure and story telling if you open up and allow yourself to be part of the adventure. If all that matters to you is looting and equipment progression, then I think you will have a hard time enjoying this game world.

Honestly considering his requirements (and that he needs to use ChatGPT to write forum posts) for what he wants I have no idea why he is playing on an RP centric server instead of playing something like Path of Exile 2? That seems like it would 100% feed his needs perfectly for what he wants as opposed to BGTSCC that keeps clashing with him in ways that make perfect sense for what BGTSCC is as a server.

I don’t necessarily need a translator to write and read in English, but I’m certainly slower and definitely make a lot of mistakes with verb tenses. And since, at least on the forum, I’d like my ideas to be clear and understandable, I think it’s more appropriate to publish texts that should at least be grammatically correct.

I understand exactly what you're saying, and I agree, it’s obvious that building my character’s story is important to me too. After all, I’ve been on this server for ten years. But over time, I’ve always run into walls. Do you know how hard my character fought to see Soubar renewed? I ended up giving up a couple of years ago and stopped playing, only to return recently and see that the improvements I wanted had actually been made?
Putting that aside for now, last night, for example, the whole server was at Ulgoth’s Beard, but the area was inaccessible to anyone outside. No DM answered me when I asked if I could join, so… nothing. Once again, I was too late to take part in an organized event, and once again, I found myself forced to solo Orzogoth’s Ziggurat. But this time, with great satisfaction, I killed the Dragon for the very first time ever.

Based on how you complained about PvE I don't think you'd have much fun in the event.

When including preparations it was 6 hours of mainly writing and reading text. There was like maybe 5-10 mobs per player to kill spawned in between long periods of RP.

There was no rewards in loot and satisfaction came from RP and occasional flavor mostly relevant for specific characters. Part of the fun was in preparation and talks weeks before
