Would it be possible to add a feat where you can 'Toggle on' to voluntarily "Level Drain" yourself to match another player, then when you use the same feat again, it removes it? It would be really nice to be able to 'delevel' temporarily to join parties with new players and go on adventures so they get experience. I was thinking like instead of actually changing the character sheet which sounds messy and scary, it could just casts the 'level drain' spell on you, but also adjust for experience. To help accommodate for feats and gear, maybe it could be an additional -3 levels to that player as well.
I'm sure most would just say "Just make an alt character" if you want to play with low levels. I'm one of those weird ones that still plays the same character since 2009 with really no alternative characters

. I'm probably a unique situation in that sense, but I just can't seem to get into playing a different character. I think it would also eliminate that weirdness of just magically 'switching' characters to go on an adventure with no RP build up, since that was already done with the primary character.
Anyways, just a thought that popped into my mind as last night there were very few people on, so I teamed up with a lower level character to go to the Cloakwood mines. I stayed out of the party and out of combat but basically followed them around like I was part of the team. One thing that did work though is I had weapons that have the property of "no damage" so at least it looked like I was fighting!
Thanks!
