Celiamhilia

Unread post by Alex Vaine »

The young girl wandered aimlessly in search of oblivion. Each of her silent steps brings her closer to being lost, and with each step she took, the screams of fear in her head grew louder. Celia stopped for a short moment when the bright sky was replaced by a soothing darkness, and before her eyes she saw the lake that the girl no longer had the strength to avoid. The dark water whispered invitingly. Celia, initially hesitant, began to sink into the liquid abyss of momentary relief. The water was cold, yet it brought comfort. When girl's feet stopped touching the muddy lakebed, she allowed herself to float unconsciously on the surface of the water. The sky was cloudless, and the darkness of the night slowly began to envelop her in a cloak of oblivion. Celia was not sure if it is dream or reality anymore, but she knew that whatever it was, there was no escaping it. At that moment, she decided to abandon herself to the arms of nothingness.

Lia was aware Celia was tired and needed to rest - to sink into oblivion. The girl hoped no nightmare would invade her slumber. The day was nice, the sky spectacular and nothing should spoil Lia's excellent mood. And yet, there was something that made her feel confused. The perfect dream she had was disturbed by one disordered thought: "What if this dream ends?"

Celia was in the middle of nowhere. The girl was not sure how she ended up in this place, she was not even sure was still dreaming or if she had already woken up, but it did not really matter. Reality or not, she just had to survive. The remains of an old tree creaked ominously in the wind, and its branches moved like tentacles eager to grab anyone who got too close. Memory of a slight fortification provided partial shelter from the gust of cold breeze. The air leaking through the cracks in the evenly placed stones whistled a disturbing melody of the past. The hill where the girl was staying was surrounded by marshes. The splashing of water indicated Celia was not alone. It did not bother her though - it was quite opposite. Maybe because of the darkness of the night surrounding her, or perhaps because of the intended purpose of this place, she felt calm.
The girl was lost - lost in her thoughts, time and space, and there was no reason to deny it. She was able to appreciate the state of being mislaid. Mostly it opened new doors, but also closed unwanted ones. Celia's thoughts turned to the stars, considering how many of them died, silently, unnoticed by anyone. Will her light perish like theirs did? The stars can only watch, as they are unable to act. Long time ago, she was just like them, merely spectator without any casual power. This was not bad fate until the girl found out her life can be different.
Celia could notice his presence from afar - two red points glowing in the dark. All kind of folks were lured to his light, and the girl was one of them.
