Crossroads

After she had laid down her duties as councillor, the road had taken her.
Leaving Doron Amar, was like leaving a third time a place she considered as a home before.
This time it was not absolute. She returned when the mood takes her, even if that were rare events at current times. Something that could change in future. Maybe.

While she was wandering through forests, over meadows and trade ways there was enough time to ponder. At the moment, she enjoyed the freedom and to explore places of nature, she had not visited for a time during der councillorship. She also visited more often the settlements of other folks, then before two seasons.

There was only the little worries about, how her patron would see the path she had taken...

Her heart was still wild and free...even more free then before...she would face whatever will await her.

Yes, it was a time of crossroads.
And she was eager to see, wherever it would take her.

Blue Leaf

Naer‘ was sitting nearby of the shrine of Mielikki and took a rest. Iridor was playing in a tree not far away.
Her eyes were looking over the river studying the horizon. Nothing specific, there was only the need to let her thoughts flow.

The meeting with the treants before a few days, was...difficult.

Then there was the leaf.
It had turned into a hue of blue, tending towards turquoise.
The meaning was still a mystery.
Blue like the open sky. A new horizon?
An acknowledgement of her wanderings, maybe?

Turquoise, a mysterious colour between blue and green.
Between sky and the green of plants.
A mark of transition between past and future?
A mark of a new beginning?

It was also the colour of the ocean and gems...

She turned the leaf between her fingers.
A change in faith? Or heralding from a new horizon in some other kind?
Or the assurance, that her patron would still on her side?

Despite she had left the Glimmerwood. She was bitting slightly on her lower lip.
Then she shook her head and let her messy hair, red as autumn leaves, flow.

Whatever it will be on her futures paths, she would explore it. The time will tell and the road will show...

The grand meeting at Rivers End will be ahead and she had still some distance to walk – even with druidic tricks.
She took up her rucksack and rise from her resting place and called for her squirrely companion.

A last honouring and humble bow of her head for the Lady of the forest.

It was time...

Naer'eanque: After the battle of Rivers End

After the battle of Rivers End: The Wandering Druidess

After the battle she felt aimless. She was still captured in a kind of heighten awareness and concentration. On her way alomg the Radiant Crossing, she found Ilir and Mizzrym for a short conversation, before she was finally heading to rest. At least that as the plan of her mind, but her feet had carried her on.

All the tension and troubled thoughts about the tree: She walked therm off.
She learned a new facet of herself and yet it felt familiar. It had always been there, written in heart and soul:
Every step lightened the weight on her shoulders and setting free the spinning thoughts.

She didn't know how far she had been coming. She didn’t know when she had used „Tree Stride“.

Finally, she found herself near the shrine of Mielikki. Her urge to stride had been subsided, satisfied in a amnner.
Although, the exertions of the day demanded their price.

She fumbled in her pouches and finally she found some almost perfect shaped acorns.
Carefully they were placed in front of the shrine. A offering for the Lady of the Forest.

She spoke in a humble way, with tired voice:
Kalreshaar, I beg for shelter here at your shrine. The path was long and my feet need a rest. The harmony was strenghten at this day. Not entirely restored, but we saved what we were be able to save. A tree had to suffer, while my word was given to protect her. I feel the weight.
Let me rest at your feet, the path was long this day.

Then she placed herself at the foot of the shrine. Her knees drawn up and embraced by her arms. The river was flowing as a vague shadow in front of her, while the stars were shining from above. Only the chirping of crickets and the distant howl of a wolf broke the silence of the night. A familiar song to the young druidess. Slowly she was falling in the state of reverie...
