Where is the fun in that?
Did you actually watch the match!?

It was a good match! Yes, Belgium should've had a FK when Giroud took down Hazard ... and yes, I secretly hoped Belgium would win (sorry Vale), but still, it was a good match. The French played well, and that Mbappe is a beast. A little less antics and I might even start rooting for him :-P

I watched the majority of it until I realized the French started playing Epic Focus: Defensive Wall.

But hey, I'm expecting my fix to get satisfied with today's game.

Now Croatia faces France in the World Cup final. Surely this time its players will have to be tired. They have gone to extra time in all three knockout round wins, playing the equivalent of one full 90-minute game more than the French players. N’Golo Kanté and Kylian Mbappé will run literal circles around them, right?

Maybe. And maybe that’s just how the Croatians want it.

Why would they be tired? They have been playing 2 games every week for the past 6 months, a majority of these players. Domestic league games and champions league, europa league or league cups. They have from mid week till Sunday to recover and be fresh for the game of their lives.

The biggest risk for them is muscle injuries, fatigue shouldn't be a factor really.

I have to applaud Belgium and England for their performances this world cup, two fairly young squads that really seemed to gel and show their class in moments. This england side under Gareth Southgate is deserving of a lot of applause and I hope they will be received with such when they return home, but knowing the English press, its not that likely.

Gonna be an interesting final, I hope France win due to my fondness of Paul Pogba, but this Croatia team has really grown on me too. May the best team win and I hope for a more entertaining final than we had in 2014

I did see this as well. Giroud clearly did foul Hazzard.

England played well, especially in the beginning of the game. Stirling was tearing through Croatia's midfield but Harry Kane had a really rough game. Croatia, God Bless them, are playing like the most cohesive unit of any of the teams I have seen, save maybe Spain but with better 1v1 technique near the box.

What is going on with the number 9s in this tournament? Giroud, Kane, Falcao, they all have struggled with some really golden opportunities. Even some 10s, like Modric and Mane have struggled offensively. So many goals by set pieces, is there something I am not seeing that teams are doing defensively? Belgium, up until France and Brazil, whom I think were just really unlucky vs Belgium, seemed the only teams to consistency capitalize in their games.

Bloody cheating french! First diver Griezmann causes the autogol, then the referee gives them a penalty which hardly was one. Only intentional hands is punishable.

Go Hrvatska! Now you really deserve to win.

France got 2 free goals in that game, but that is just how it goes. Their 2 legit goals were great and showed the strength of the team.

Croatia made 1 stellar goal on excellent team work, and Manny shamed that Bleu Keeper for sleeping in the job! LOL.

It was an exciting finish, and I'm glad this World Cup turned into a very clear message that Team Play brought the final teams to the Final. Let's hope that type of Football continues in the future.

Congratulations France!

I'm just happy the VAR penalty didn't get to be the winning goal. Replays and real time footage show two separate stories, in my opinion its ball to hand and no penalty.

I don't think it was the most exhilarating finale though, but ill take a Pogba goal any day :) Now back to club football and the depravity of supporting United in these dark times.

Overall a great world cup with ups and downs, gonna be exciting to see some of these young teams at the next euro's as well.

And congratulations to all frog eaters :o

Congratz Valefort.

All in all not the worst World Cup. Only one game without goals.
