World Cup 2028
Hey, y'all long time no see! The World Cup is coming up this weekend and I want to know who y'all got taking it all. While bummed out that the US didn't make it this year, I am still holding hope that Mexico can take Group F over Germany (I'm a wishful thinker). I think it will ultimately come out to Uruguay and Argentina. I would put Spain in the running, but, after firing their coach I'm not sure how the team will show.

Re: World Cup 2028
I of course root for Denmark, and I am positive we can make it out of groups at least, maybe not ahead of France, but we should be able to get to the knock-out phase.
There isn't anything more Danish than soccer and beer!
Maybe Britain will run with it?
I think Germany will win though.
Also, I am quite excited to see Russia this time.. They had a really good team last WC, or the one before I cant remember.
Anyway, I love WC! To me its the greatest sports event that exists.

No, keep it this way. Perhaps in 2028, the Dutch will actually be along for the ride!
But, since I no longer have a home country to root for, I'll go with Argentine ... because I can ... and because I hope Messi'll shine.

You can enjoy both sports though
I love both Hockey and Football, went to school with Lars Eller and Jannik Hansen among other great danish hockey players.
But football is the greatest sport ever made!!
each to their own
I'm with Progressive-Psy on this and think Denmark will advance from our group, I even think there's a chance we could win it ahead of France. I don't think Germany will repeat their 2014 success and I actually believe Spain will run with it, even with their coach heading to Real Madrid.
Call me a tunnel vision United fan, but Spain has something few of the other teams can boast. They have a solid defense, but the worlds best keeper as well and that can be invaluable over the course of so few matches, just as Neuer was in 2014.
And off topic, hello Jaden, been a long time since I saw you around.

WE ARE RED WE ARE WHITE WE ARE DANISH DYNAMITE!
Denmark should do well, though I dont see them beating France.... though I made a 10 quid bet on it for 3-1 to Denmark.

You never know, if Pogba and Griezmann are more occupied making dancing videos, there is a chance
But lets be honest, Denmark's chances are very dependent on this fella:
Though I love Thomas Delaney as well

That is the latin way to do things. And when everything aligns, even the stars (the literal ones), you have to create chaos so you have a culprit for being eliminated. I'm speaking about Spain of course.chambordini wrote:I actually hope Uruguay loses in group phase, everyone here thinks we're gonna win the tournament, there's such a dumb big circus and the days the team will play will be like holidays, DISGUSTING. Do you even know why Real Madrid announced it two days before the tournament? So Lopetegui was fired and RM doesn't have to pay any penalty. Even worse. It's Spain who keeps paying Lopetegui now.
It's mirroring the corruption we are living in this bankrupt country.
Anyways besides being disgusted by the money this sport and other like it move around the world, I hope an outsider wins this one. Somebody like Island or why not Switzerland.

We can always dream of course. Let the favourites Germany, Brazil, France, Spain and Argentina be eliminated in the group phase please. Well at least one of them.

Based on this game maybe. But Uruguay has been historically capable of the worst and the best in the tournaments. I wouldn't count on them being through. If they beat Egypt I'd say yes.chambordini wrote:To be fair, watching Russia and Saudi Arabia play the inaugural match, there's just no way we're getting eliminated before octaves.
