Northlander Hewing random ability dmg is roughly equivalent to +1 dmg each hit unless bludgeoing.
You also forgot the damage from gloves, on the other hand, vampiric gloves might be preferable since you cant use heal.

Is it worth getting Legendary Animal Shape for a Shifter? I am unsure how the form works when combined with Shifter abilities. Does it get the shifter bonuses to STR/DEX/CON? Does it gain infinite uses? Or is it a marginal (at best) upgrade, and there are better uses for an epic feat?

Only shifter-specific shapes get that attribute increase.

Probably the same way as with regular spells... So the safest best is to just max out the Concentration skill, because no matter what 'Spell Level' the spell like abilities use, the more damage you recieve, the more likely it is for you to fail your concentration skill checks.

I made a funny little build with shifter that is druid 5, monk 3, shifter 12, drunken master 10.

Whole thing revolves around using shifters shapechange feat at 10 instead of shifting forms. Drunken master gets to drink ale for +10 STR which converts to shapechange forms.

Add in a bit more STR from buffs augment form yada yada and your sitting at a 52 STR drunken nightwalker.

That sounds like a fun build, not going to lie!

But should that cap out at 48 Strength? Nightwalker has base 38 Strength.

Its possible to get 4 more STR to get to 52. Although im not going to spoil how thats done however.
