I solo bosses with far fewer worries on my druid. Sometimes, it gets as risiculous as one spell = dead boss.
Nerf druids next, but please don't stop there. Never stop.

Clerics/FS can easily solo most bosses without any issue, try this with a lonesome fighter.......
Then we should complain about druids and Shamans as well, and a lonesome fighter with potions can handle pretty well.
Let's remove the Heal potions too, they give too much HP too quickly. 150 hp per potion? Why would you do something like that? Critical Heal Potions only and drink like there's no tomorrow.
Do we want to talk about the Dragon Warrior PrC that has Dragon Breath that deals 300+ damage at level 30, 5 times per day?
We really don't.
As I said, LOTRO is the only solution at this point.

One alternative would be to leave this as-is and add a new requirement, CHA 19 (to stick with the SD and Heirophant reqs). This would prevent the STR bards from cheesing it out, for the most part, wouldn't it?
Or put the pre-req CHA even higher and boost it up a bit?

I don't quite know where you got "all suggestions were rejected, because they weren't according to the lore of D&D", considering that many things from even before I came around (over 4 years ago) were already being implemented from outside of the lore of the setting and implemented as server lore.
Dont misquote me. This is what I wrote:

Players have made suggestions that were outside the realm of sourcebooks, and thus their suggestions were rejected and declined.
My point is that one of the most common arguments regarding suggestions is whether or not it is tied to D&D lore. The staff has enforced this over the years, because it is a sound argument. I am not saying that everything revolves around this sole argument, but that it has weighed heavily on several occasions. I have personally felt that the BGTSCC staff puts a lot of weight on lore when suggestions have been concerned in the past. I dont understand why they dont do so now. Particularly, when they are the ones making the suggestion and when there are other ways to tackle this problem.

Scrying, Legend lore, teleport all variations, rinse and dry, spells created by players, protection from evil/good/law/chaos in all forms, regeneration, heal, greater restoration, raise dead, resurrection. Just a few of the many spells that are different to PnP to better suit the persistent world environment. This was not a lore change it was a balance change, and one that's frankly overdue.

In pvp Requiem is pretty op, you can run out of a silenced area.. and for Sonic immunity, anyone with a wand of lesser spell breach makes that useless.
Okan wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 1:03 pm
I agree. The damage portion seems the part needs to be nerfed, not the healing.
Running out of a silence area does not restart the requiem, it's on a 2m CD.

My Bard can sometimes pull off 300+ dmg
per round. I've seen a FvS pull off more than that per round.
Mostly because the FvS had more Attacks per Round because of exactly buffed BAB.
But my Bard, unless buffed with Displacement and Mirrors will get sawed in half by epic mobs in damage taken.
A FvS and/or Cleric has a rich spell book to minimize damage taken.
Personally, the Server should set a Standard, based on D&D canon or Homebrew...because what is most important imho is that there achieves a consistency.

Hierophant has been the most powerful PrC for the least "cost" since its inception. Having a new "entrance fee" is a good start. Essentially, there was absolutely NO REASON to not take the PrC. Still really isn't a reason to not take it, but at least one needs to adjust Points.

Many of the spells you have listed are either different by default or partly impossible to replicate in-game. Legend lore, raise dead and resurrection pertain to the former category, whilst scrying and teleport pertain to the latter. Being able to cast protection from alignment versus law and chaos is a very minor change, and lacks significance. As do most of the unique playermade spells.
Merely stating that this is a balance change and not a lore change is brushing over all the concerns I raised in my original post. Just because you have one reason for implementing a change does not invalidate all other concerns around it. Something which your statement seems to imply.

If I can't have that extra attack anymore, can I have Word of Recall?

Are you talking about pure FvS (or at least a prevalence of that) or a mix of classes in which there are some levels of FvS until Divine Power circle?
Would you be able to provide me a screen of that, maybe of a test of yours?
Also I agree. It's either D&D Canon or Homebrew.
Still, it's up to the staff that decision... as much as if listening to us about the considerations and propositions we made here for Divine Power, or not!

Just a thought. Instead of taking away. How about we 'give' to those that are less fortunate?

We've given quite a lot. We can probably even provide a cohersive list of things that were added and buffed vs things that were nerfed. And, fair warning, the ratio is 8 (buffs & added stuff) : 1 (Nerfs)
Edit: I seriously believe it shouldn't be necessary, however. You can see
all changes in content updates and review them yourself, if you disbelieve.
