Just fyi, the crashing in Sshamath is not an easy fix.

There is a reason it has gone unfixed for so long.

I think he's saying get an active DM down there. I hear that you have Ansient, but considering the large playerbase, it'd probably help having more than one.

I have done few plot-based events like Kelsfars.

I've been doing small-scale random ones that don't have a significant plot behind them (e.g. goblin hordes), dealing with day-to-day technical issues and altercations that require Sshamath's guards, and supporting the UD factions: House Mori'hyanda, the School of Necromancy, and the newly-revived Bregan D'erthe.

I'm more comfortable working from the bottom up. In general I don't run new plots for players to follow--I just try to enhance what they're already doing.

There are some exceptions, of course--for instance I've spawned Lich-controlled Undead in the crypt on a regular basis, as part of a recurring plot I started to give the School of Necromancy something to be concerned about. But this isn't the main thrust of my DMing.

But if someone wants to join the team and run those kinds of things, I'd welcome some help. They should talk to me and I'll see about recommending them to the rest of the staff.

Its nice how the city is male-run (I'm talking in RP, no females take offense please) as opposed to Menzoberranzan where the females dominate.

I wonder if there is any RP that could be done for training the youth in group or something, such as expeditions with a couple veterans, and it being a scheduled event.

Just a thought, and I may be off-base actually.
