Answers.com suggests:

"The amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equal to 700 pounds.
Some say it depends on three factors: •The woodchuck's desire to chuck said wood.
•The woodchuck's need to chuck the aforementioned wood.
•The woodchuck's ability to chuck the wood when it is a woodchuck"

"Sammy Hagar was a better singer, but I think David Lee Roth was the better frontman."

I've allways been a dyed-in-the-wool Coke drinker. When I am having a mixed drink, I always used diet caffeine free Coke. That said, I work with people who only drink Pepsi, and I have developed a taste for it over regular Coke... might have something to do with working right next door to a Pepsi bottling plant... :)

The concept of life being a mathematical equation is what Albert Einstein was getting at I think in his theory of relativity. As every aspect of our lives is based on how we see it/interpret it, what is relevant for us then becomes what life means to us. So, depending on your socio-environmenal position, the meaning of life for you may just to be survive another day without getting killed, it may be seeing your children grow up healthy and happy, it may be to find a soulmate or get the heck away from the rest of humanity. The meaning of life is subjective to each one of us, relative to where we are and see ourselves in living.

Would it be possible via IG-RP interaction between a PC and a DM-possessed NPC for properties of Item A to be merged with the properties of Item B thus producing a new Item C? Only constraint being the resulting A+B=C does not result in an uber-powerful item.
PC1 = Nerys, Emissary and Skald of the Greyfox tribe, roaming north near Secomber
PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.

I can see this as a possibiltyfor this scenario a Drow, being deemed unworthy and chosen for sarifice, appearilng before a Yochlol who is an NPC possessed by a DM, and through RP, turned into a Drider who, by its very nature, is not more powerful than a PC Drow of same or higher levels.

Otherwise the scenario turns out being similar in outcome to the movie, "The Fly" in which case no one wins...

Canadian Armed Forces

Active Frontline Personnel: 68,250 (based on 2012 info)
Active Reserve Personnel: 47. 081 (baed on 2012 info)

Selande - Why not?

Lochonow - it is not an issue of lore or desire but an issue of space on the server, time to make the areas, DM's to administer the areas, etc. I think it would be awesome to have as much of the Forgotten Realms as possible on our server but it is just not practical. The more areas the server has the slower it will run. We have recently expanded and purchased a new server to reduce lag, but the administration of a server that would encompass more areas would mean more hardware, more human resources overseeing it, and more time to develop and maintain. As always, if there is an area that you feel strongly about that should be included in our server, please send all DMs a PM and make your request with justification. We read all PM's and take all requests seriously, even if the answer is "not right now."

I believe that the writing in terms of books and lore around the FR has matured and developed over the years. In my opinion, the Spellplague is kind of like Star Trek TNG finding the Borg or DS9 the Dominion, in terms of ramping things up a step. There have been A LOT of great books written pre SP but I am really liking where things are going DR 1385 and beyond... Mystra dies... OMG did you see what the Triune did to Cyric...?!? lol! sorry! SPOILER ALERT!

The Knights of Myth Drannor series is great. It is based on an actual PnP campaign that Ed Greenwood ran IRL. Swords of Evening Star, Swords of Dragonfire, and The Sword Never Sleeps are all great books. In DR 1348 Erevis Cale is recruited by the Night Masks in Westgate... I highly recommend the books based on him:

"Realms of War"
"The Halls of Stormweather"
"Shadow's Witness"
"Twilight Falling"
"Dawn of Night"
"Midnight's Mask"
"Shadowbred"
"Shadowstorm"
"Shadowrealm"

The novel "Sojourn" takes place in DR 1347 - anything about Drizzt and companions is good regardless of DR - RA Salvatore actually has a new book out that is really great too.

Best advice? Read from where the books start and make your way through to the end.
