We're going to try to roll the server back to yesterday's pre-update module, and restore the character vault to yesterday's archive as well. This should occur later today, and will allow us to correct some of the issues that have been identified.

The server will be down for a short while as this is happening.

Thank you to everyone who provided us feedback. It has been and will be super helpful. We will try this again next weekend if we feel the update is ready for a second attempt!

Cool stuff. I messed up my spell selection at level up anyway so glad I get to redo it ^^

If it's going to happen again in the future, it would probably be worthwhile to have a detailed breakdown of what the changes are going to be first, so we can tell what's changing. Also some forewarning about when it's happening and to plan for potential rollbacks wouldn't go amiss (eg "be aware on xxxx day we are introducing these changes, be aware of potential instability, don't make any plans for events".)

Forewarning was the purpose of this thread. Unless you mean an in-game warning, in which case there were some DM shouts about it.

No, out of game. In fairness, I didn't see this thread until much later (my fault tbh) although it didn't say when the update was happening.

The Rollback will happen sometime between 2300-0100 GMT. Hopefully it will not be too painful.

Server Rollback occurred ~ 0025 GMT.

Some PCs are not getting their languages. Theory is DMFI widget is borked. Get a new widget and re-log resolve... that is theory.

Server Vault was not rolled back. Though it might be... not my call or action.

Server shutdown intentionally to roll back server vault to avoid broken characters. ETA 15 minutes.

Everything should be back to January 30th's pre-update status now. Apologies for the lost day there, but thanks, again, for the live test and feedback. Please let us know if you see any lingering errors with either your character files or the server itself.

Last archive was timestamped 01/30/2016, 8:53 AM PST (1/30/2016, 16:53 GMT). How much further do you feel it went back for you, though? I can double check it.
