Warlocks do completely fine on this server, weather you go melee, blaster or controller. putting some points away from some of your skills in to socials isn't going to hurt much.
Your concept sounds to me like a great High Charisma, controller style warlock with decent INT which alongside being human should give you plenty of skill points. Throw in able learner and you shouldn't have any issues

Mmmm, I put a build together on the vanilla character builder but there's loads of new feats in bgtscc. Don't know what to take now, might put something together in jegs, see what I can come up with.
I fancy trying to stick to the fiendish heritage of a lock and play LE but use speech and wit to get in with the good aligned surface characters. So he's able to play with the good guys but is ultimately furthering his own agenda. Something along those lines anyways. Haven't quite decided on his exact motives or background yet though, just the over arching concept.
