A possible compromise:

It gives you a passive 1 damage bonus initially, then 3 on its upgrade.

Then, when you activate it, it gives you the bonus that it gives now instead of that 1/3 bonus that is gives passively.

Satisfies both camps?

They have a ton of hit points, and because a mace is a light weapon you are very limited in what you can do to increase its damage output. So if you want to use a traditional Selunite weapon then trust me ... you have to use this ability. The alternative is to stand toe to toe with a gnoll for 10+ rounds while you try to whittle away its health.
Have you ever heard of high strength modifier and Northlander Hewing? 8-)

Hard to squeeze in such minor feats in the face of True Believer :p

A fiddly bit of work I guess, to tickle the fancy of a few. Not that I'd quibble at all if such were given.

I shouldn't have said that. I don't want this to devolve into a min-max'ing discussion.

Personally, I wouldn't want to give up the d8 for a longer duration. Recasting moon's hand before each battle has become second nature for me.

It might be nice to tie the duration to silverstar levels. Like maybe 5 rds per class level. But that's easy for me to say since I already have 9 levels in the class.

It is a nice prestige class from a roleplay point, which is my reluctance to let it slip.
Having it tied to Silverstar levels would be good though. Would reward taking it beyond the first three levels, if looking at it mechanically.

Moon's Hand do work with a morningstar, a weapon any character can use you know. ;)

As for the feat it seems to work just fine beyond the disappearing visual lightning effect upon the weapon. Sadly there does not seem to be a solution easily at hand for that issue.

Seemed to work on the warmace too. Hadn't thought to try morning star as I was tring to work out the definition of 'heavy mace' as in the description.

Works on mace, light mace, dire mace, warmace, and morningstar.

The mechanics of this feat bugged me enough that I changed it to work automatically on equip/unequip. So no need to have the feat in the quick bar anymore (after next update)™

Come on - such a weak class like a divine caster getting a permanent d8 damage increase

Next suggestion is making EDM permanent

I have updated the Moon's Hand description on the wiki to reflect the selection of weapons to which this feat may be applied.

It was always meant to be permanent for that class and I didn't change any of the effects. If you think Silverstar is too strong a class you should flag it for QC.

That sounds like a very kneejerk reaction at best. I didn't know an average of 4.5 damage was equivalent to 14+ damage.

They can recast it at will, which is pretty much the same as a permanent effect with minor quality of life issues. Same as stormlord with their 2d8 extra damage. Its not a use per day thing, unlike EDM.

Hyperboles do not make for useful or necessary statements when talking about game changes. Facts work better.

Well i really liked my Silverstar without the permanent sparkling weapon effect and he could say a prayer and got his deity boon when he needed it.
