Moon's Hand
This class feature is listed as being automatic, no mention of a limited duration. Yet it seems to expire fairly quickly, maybe only a number of rounds equal to Silverstar class level. A bug, I assume.

It was changed by Rasael at some point to last 20 rounds and be usable at will by the Silverstar.

Thanks, guess I'll have to drop the prc while we're free to rcr.dedude wrote:It was changed by Rasael at some point to last 20 rounds and be usable at will by the Silverstar.

Doesn't it have unlimited uses?

Re: Moon's Hand
It does. It sure doesn't seem to last 20 rounds, it takes a full round to cast and is just another thing to forget to keep casting over and over.
It is the only really good feature of the class, which takes two otherwise empty feats to get, plus ranks in a skill which is not a class skill for its intended base classes.
If it were too potent as a constant thing, then reducing the damage may have been better. A profile on par with the anointed knight features may have been suitable?

The issue is with the description then, not the class feature. May as well be closed or moved to the suggestion thread.

It's kind of annoying to have to cast it over and over, but at level 9 it's awesome, so I've come to live with it.

You don't have to, just use it occassionly
A permanent d8 damage increase would be overpowered.

I guess it's down to play style. I would far prefer d4 for many hours, like annointed knight, than d8 in short bursts when I'm trying to keep on top of other expiring buffs.

I agree with this. Half the time I forget to reactivate it or don't realize it's expired.

Have you ever tried killing a monster in BGTSCC with a d6 damage mace? They have a ton of hit points, and because a mace is a light weapon you are very limited in what you can do to increase its damage output. So if you want to use a traditional Selunite weapon then trust me ... you have to use this ability. The alternative is to stand toe to toe with a gnoll for 10+ rounds while you try to whittle away its health.Faiths & Avatars wrote: Adventuring Garb: In the field, the clergy members of the Selunite church dress practically for the task they are undertaking. The moon's hand has identical statistics to a standard footman's mace, though it gains special combat bonuses in the hands of a specialty priest of Selune.

It is the Moon's Hand that ties you to a mace though, even though Selune's favored weapon (here) is morning star. So it puts a mace in your hand, then tries to compensate with electrical damage.

Have you ever heard of high strength modifier and Northlander Hewing?LuvHandles wrote:Have you ever tried killing a monster in BGTSCC with a d6 damage mace?
