That just goes to show that I shouldn't mingle myself in discussions on buildsTeoDeathDealer wrote:On BG, this is just not true. With a 14/16 dex, you will only miss on a 1. Charisma locks on BG do well until epics when the critter saves are off the charts.Zanniej wrote:I'm not sure where the con-lock comes from (though most likely hellfire warlock), but either dex or charisma is important for warlocks, depending on whether you want to be a blaster or a controller. A blaster needs dex to hit, a controller needs cha to pump his DCs.
That said, you could probably make a viable blaster warlock from a shield- or gray dwarf, or a viable controller from a gold dwarf.
Con Locks are the way to go. Match with 3 levels if Dragonslayer and your saves will be great. I have one con lock with 32 fort, 24 reflex, 35 will, 50 a/c, 500+ hp...self-buffed only.

Re: Dwarven Warlock...
Now, Warlocks have Medium BAB progression and Eldritch Blast use Ranged Touch Attack as the damage delivery method, hence once you get to level 14+ your medium BAB alone is enough to land your attacks unless you happen to roll that one.
I have had a 10 dexterity Spirit Shaman (Medium BAB) spam Acidic Splatter (Ranged Touch Attack) and only miss on a roll of 1.
Thus, you just need to get past the early levels, and you are solid. Charisma doesn't give much without Turn Undead progression, dexterity is nice if you are going for a Stealth Lock, but Constitution is the best route because you get to be a sponge. And to grind on BGTSCC is to be a sponge... Bob.
