No warnings, and you've been around since 2012?
I don't know the details involved on why they denied you, but this server's really serious about recruiting people we can trust. Took me months of Toolset work just to prove myself...and then there was the wait.
I think it's great that you guys are trying though. I'm sure you'll wear them down, eventually.

I am not with the coven and was also declined. This was probably due to my total lack of experience. All we can do is apply again. The thing is we cannot do so unless they start recruitment again. I am not sure if the last two recruits (no insult intended here) flaked out or if they are still training behind the scenes. If it is the former then I would hope that a new recruitment drive would be started early rather then wait 3 month intervals.
You're talking about DM Solo and DM Mimic- who are actually very active, just apparently not during the time frames you are on, perhaps. The next recruitment drive is coming up fairly soon, given it's done on a quarterly basis.

Did they say it's because you're coven? Do you have any actual evidence to back that up?
The DMs aren't biased, they aren't anti-any group, they're not out to get anyone. They're players like you or me that volunteer their time to make the game better and to enforce the rules.

PvPing was the main reason back these days when I sent my application (and we had a pvp-focused guild in the past, until we decided to change that). Not like I personally pvped alot, but for sure I got involved in lots and tons of it. I uderstand that it looks not good. Overall reputation means quite much when tou are applying, mine are not that nice. Accepting someone who is not very welcomed by community could cause troubles, so it is logical.
Since then staff changed, but after recent events my application will be declined for sure
But again, it is logical.

You can't guarantee round the clock DM coverage, unless they're being paid for it, sadly. And most people probaby wouldn't want BG to turn into a subscription service.
I usually had positive experience with DM team, including event requests, although some stuff got rejected and/or was never acted upon.
In case you didn't get request granted, a good idea would be to try something completely different instead.

Actually I was talking about unicorn, stargazer, and scuba. I have seen mimic around (albeit rarely). I think I've seen solo doing forum stuff. They all joined in october.
Anybody know if there is a way to practice using the DM client? Would love to tool around with it and learn some things.......

If you can find the DM101 on nwnvault, that is a good start. It uses DMFI additions, which we also have here. It doesn't have it all though, of course. And it is a little big buggy with some of the dialogue (if you end it to do one of the tasks it puts you to, you'll have to restart the module and skip ahead to continue after having learned that bit).

Do you mean DMFI 101? I found that and it seems to be a DM tutorial. It says. SO YOU WANT TO BE A DM?

In PMs and in game I have had excellent interaction with DMs. From getting incredibly detailed information on trade to working on an ongoing plot I have found the best thing to do is reach out and schedule a time to work with a DM.
One DM was providing a very obvious clue he was online and looking to get people involved. Others pop in and do what they can when they can.
I haven't seen as many floating around to see who needs what but, let's be fair, that should not be the main focus of a DM. It's support for the real reason we're all here, for the character and story.
Reach out. Send a PM. I am sure a DM would be delighted to use something from your character's past to develop a plot with your PC or a faction.
Speaking as someone who doesn't really do multiple characters at once, and who was also a long time NWN1 PW DM, I have a question for DM's here actually.
Do you still play character-side regularly? I have considered applying to DM at some point but I tend to go real hard at whatever I'm doing (whether playing a character, or not), and I don't know how easy it would be for me to divide my attention between the two (hence my wanting to stay strictly on the character side of things for the time being).
Do you JUST do DM things mostly? Do you still play your characters? I am curious to hear responses to this.
For me, the server I DMed on had a pretty strict "DM identities are kept secret and you should try to not be involved with much as a character in terms of guilds/groups once you're on staff to make it easier to remain impartial" rule, so I think I may just be looking at this through the remnants of that mindset because it's what I know.
