DM Ghost wrote:Screams are heard from the Duskwater residence in the Palace District as the maids come to work one day. Quite quickly the Flaming Fist arrives on the scene in a large force with even a few battle casters. Soon after a flash of blue light can be seen outside the house. Out of the flash of light, materializes Lord Bernard Duskwater, with an expression of furious rage.

Four body bags are carried out of the house and the Fist leaves several guards outside. Lord Duskwater goes to the palace to speak with the Dukes. Later that day he issues an official statement hung on the various bulletin boards in the City:

Citizens of Baldur's Gate.

This morning, I was informed of the worst tragedy imaginable: My wife, the Lady Helga Duskwater, has been murdered most brutally along with three of my trusted guards. The Flaming Fist suspected "robbery gone wrong" at first, but when I arrived and saw nothing was stolen I have come to a terrible conclusion: My wife was assassinated.

I cannot know if she was the intended target, or myself, but I promise that whoever is responsible will meet justice. I hope I can count on my fellow Baldurans for support and aid in this. I thus ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything to go to the Flaming Fist or me directly with this information.

Lord Bernard Duskwater
An elegantly dressed man could be seen leaving the barber shop in the Eastgate District, a satisfied smirk on his face as he adjusted his hat. He could then be seen continuing on his route, usual one for those who take notice of these things, stopping by Aiello's and Sorcerous Sundries before finally moving to the bulletin board next to the Elfsong Tavern. He lazily skimmed through several notices when his eyes visibly widened and some color left his face, the satisfied smirk wiped entirely. He quickly moved inside the Elfsong Tavern, where the patrons could notice the same man sitting in a corner, lost in thoughts as he sipped his wine for a while.

*On the 25th day of the Hammer, members of the Trust Company were seen carrying many wooden boxes into the Ilmateri temple. A keen eyed bystander might note this took quite some time, and represented a bit more then two caravan wagons worth of food.*

Selengil have been seen talking with Avae Feivra, the daughter of the famous Elven Archmage in front of the Friendly Arm Inn a fews days back.

They didn't seem to dislike each other, and had a civilised conversation.

With a heavy heart, a blond haired Lathanderite is seen making her way to the docks with a number of southern templars in tow, each of them carrying what appears to be crates of luggage. Despite the half mask over her features to prevent the contact with the plague and golden cloak replaced with one of deep purple. she is easily recognised as Cecilia Lafayette, Dawnbringer of Lathander. Regardless of the fact that the Fist Warships block all ships in and out of the area, the woman pays a sizeable sum for a small ferry boat to transport her to a larger ship waiting beyond. Once the luggage is secured within the hull, she is overheard purchasing the fare of a one-way ticket to Suzail, Cormyr.

It's unknown for how long she will be gone, or if she will return to the Sword Coast at all.
[x] Lady Cecilia Lafayette: Harbinger of Hope, returned to Cormyr. RETIRED.
[x] Leyla El'uvian- Feral elf, abandoned society for a loving den in the woods. Alt. RETIRED.

*Many scurrying creatures call the Docks home; rats, bugs, small children. It is one of the later that watches the blonde paladin board the ship, and the sharp ears of the vagabond child pick up the destination from the shouted commands of the quartermaster loading cargo.

The message of the paladin's departure is passed, first to an older child, then to an area boss, and up the network the words trickle until they reach the tall thin monk. Thom frowns at first, and then cocks his head aside in thought. Silently he waves a hand to dismiss his agent and turns to his desk, gathering ink and quill...*

Leaving the Umberlean temple of the district, The Khazark, followed by a delegation of Red Knight, all masked with a velvet cloth covering their mouths, Kahanak takes his usual after-mass stroll, to the docks watching the waves, smelling the sea salted air as he comes across the sight of the blonde woman.

The Red robes man, lowers his mask, looking at the scene with a deep frown, his lips pursed, deep in thoughts.

As the ferry sails away, a glimpse of past times is brought in his mind, and as the bigger boat sails away, Kahanak glances upward, his silvery eyes locking themselves onto a gliding Seagull.

After a moment, the delegation returns to the Enclave.

A dark clad figure roams from shadow to shadow in the docks this night, passing along a warning to the various street urchins and waifs that linger.

"Be wary.", the figure did whisper to them, "A certain dwarf and gnome who are fond of harassing and robbing folk have made their way to the docks. If you see them, steer well clear. They will soon be dealt with.

The recipients of this whispered warning would each be gifted with a small amount of gold and a potion of disease-curing for their attention before the figure receded into the nearest alley and vanished from sight.
