The final dance
Urah approached knives with the body of a commoner from Beregost. He offered her a deal to end there dance. He would ready a lair, and they would raid that Lair. The Harvester Devil be not allowed to run away, and whoever is still alive at the end would be the winner. While he finds the adventurers endlessly interesting there starting to distract him, and even disrupt his work. He told them he contact them in half a tenday when he had his lair ready. He sealed this deal by forcing the woman to cut her own neck in front of them.

The guards in berogost deemed the death a suicide till Alsarias used his criminal status to make them think something else happened. Alsarias is now wanted in question to her death, along with the murder of another woman in Nashkel.

Urah's final game
The day finally arrived, the day Urah had spoken of his challenge. Julindra and Knives had gathered a party in the Candlekeep inn. Celduil, Lillith, Alsarias, Sayiel, Aiden, Kyree, Celdor, Buurk, and Garag all awaited for word one where the challange would take place. A stoic faced Half-Orc showed up at the inn and asked them to follow. The party followed the orc with out question to the outside Candlekeep where he opened a portal, telling the party his job is done he walked away.

The party entered the portal and found themselves in an area with no sunlight. There where tables set up across the room like a medical tent in a war. Many of the tables still held fresh and bleeding corpses. The party was quickly under attack by creatures with devil blood and Hell Hounds. Surviving the first attack they noticed traps all over the room, in fact it seemed like the whole lair was filled with traps. Knives disarmed most of the traps, but every now and again a clumsy step would set one off.

Image

As they moved further in they found Hell rift portals open and ready to damage the party, as well as cultists and lesser devils. They soon descovered they needed a key to move any further into the lair. First traveling to the to the most eastern part of the floor they found a very large Horned Devil waiting for them. After defeateing the devil, they found half a key. The party bickered along the way, either from nerves or stress they had trouble getting along at that momment. Lilith who little did they know summoned Devils just days before this raid to learn more, was more interested in finding anything that would earn her more knowledge. The party found no small discomfort in Liliths actions, as traps where set off and fear of cursed items set in. Alsarias was suffering from a Erinyes placed Geas from the night before, this made his actions more rushed and stressed.

The party made there way to the western most part of the floor. There they found cultists studying, and one creating Golems. In the middle of the room sat a large cage, with recently dead victims. The party managed to defeat the golem maker, golems, and other cultists finding the other half of the key. They moved past the keyed door to find a huge pit Fiend, this battle was much harder then the others but they managed to win. In front of them was a portal. Alsarias geas forced him to move ahead of the party into the portal, while the rest of the party was attacked.

Alsarias made his way to the Erinyes lair, where she waited with a couple of her children. The rest of the party hesitated unsure where the portal would take them, giveing Alsarias more time to move further away. After useing the portal the party found where taken to the tower of the same building, the Erinyes room however only held her children, the party killed the Alu-fiends and moved further up the tower. They found a room of strong Half-Fiends but pushed past them as well. Further up the tower they found a church filled with cultists. The Cultists all killed themselves at Urah's command, showing there willingness to go to the hells.

Image

While the party made there way down a hallway filled with nothing but traps, Alsarias situation grow more dangures as the Erinyes grow nervous. Finally at the top of the tower they found Urah, near him stood the Erinyes with her talon filled hand around Alsarias's neck. Urah congratulated the party on there victory and offred them a seat on the couch in front of him, as he took a seat on his own couch. Knives and Lilith sat down in front of the Harvester Devil and chatted. Urah was wished to know as to what they learned in all of this. He questioned there cynicism over the whole affaire, he questioned Lilith's own pact that allowed her warlock powers, and revealed she recently summoned devils of her own.

No matter what the devil had to say, the party however was more interested in freeing there companion. Urah apoligized for the Erinyes, claiming she was not part of his plan. However, he still offered the inevitable deal. Let him and the Erinyes walk away, for your friends life. The party refused and pushed to attack, the Erinyes ripped Alsarias's eyes out as the battle started. Before he was banished, Urah smiled leaving the his last words to be "Have your wounds healed yet Knives?" The Erinyes fought harder then Urah, fearing a demotions more then anything else in the world, but she too was defeated.

The party gave a sigh of relief, then quickly rushed to aid the wounded. However they found Alsarias's eyes would not heal, and even worse they where locked into the room. The giant bell in the center of the room started to ring, "Dong!" each time release a sonic effect on the party. After suffering the sonic pain a number of times the Half orc Garag smashed the structures holding the bell and it fell down the high tower. The party teleported back to the Trade way.

The party celebrated the victory, and tended to Alsarias, proud of there win. However it was not long before they could hear an imp once more. The imp mocked there victory, Urah was defeated but there was now a void that needed to be filled, who would farm the sword coast for souls now? Someone unknown sent a letter to Candlekeep hinting at her summoning of Devils and interrogating them may have caused a grudge, he also spoke of a Void that needed filling.

Lizards and dragons

Image

Ezre a lizardfolk from the High Moor traveled far south with the help of a Lizardfolk druid to speak with the tribe in Cloakwood. He shortly found out that the tribe in Cloakwood where not like the normal Lizardfolk, they where cruel and offred him no help, they killed his druid companion and he had to fight his way out into the woods. It was there he ran into Aurora Zephyr who saw the odd sight of lizardfolk attacking eachother and was wise enough to not attack Ezre.

The duel blade weidling Lizard told his story to Aurora as others followed and joined the pair. Ezre's tribe in the north has been subject to a Black Dragons intimidation, using the lizardfolks fear of him to force them to give over food and gold. As followers of Semuanya it was the tribes duty to survive, so they started to seek other tribes for aid. The adventurous decided to follow the Lizardman to his swamp and aid in the fighting.

Ezre was shocked by the amount of food available to the sword coast away from his swamp, doing his best to stay off the road and avoid any swords. He swam across the Chionthar river with ease to avoid the bridge and helped the party fight hob goblins on the way to the north. Once they made there way to Boaresker bridge they got in little boats to travel the winding water north to his swamp.

Image

It was there the party was greeted by a number more Lizardfolk, ready for a fight with a dragon. Shamen's, Druids, and Fighters all stood at the ready. As the numbers moved forward a huge Black Dragon jumped out of the swamp to ambush the party, however they where ready and a large battle broke out. The party battled hard, and it was a shamen's spell that killed the large dragon.

However little did the party know the reason the Black wished so much food was because it was time for it to mate, as the party was celebrating the mate jumped out of the swamp with a more successful ambush. A number of the lizardfolk died in the battle and the warm bloods fought hard. The battle was long, but it was Erze himself who got on the dragons back and pushed his two swords into his skull, finishing the beast. The lizardfolk where so impressed with his skill they named him there Chef, as the strongest of the tribe. He thanked the party by digging up a hidden catch of gold. He then showed the group the way back to the bridge and human lands, with hopes of meeting again someday.

Creeping negative energy
Image

A ghost was spotted in the Cloakwood with a creeping dark fog, a number of adventurers quikly gathered to figure out what was wrong. A portal was found, next to a ghost who seemed to be trapped in his last memory's. The dark fog creeped out of the portal and the mages could detect traces of Negitive energy in it. Wraiths and creatures that feed off the negitive energy attacked the party, pushing them to investigate quickly.

On the other side of the portal they found themselves deep into the woods, the area was covered in the dark fog. A tree was spotted dripping with blood, a rotted out noose hanging from its branches and its long dead victim nothing but a skeleton under it. Nyx could see with her talents in the arcane that the negative energy wrapped itself around this tree like an invasive vine. The rest of the party made there way into the portal and again they where attacked by creatures feeding off the energy.

The party came across another ghost, this one remembering its last nights freezing to death in the woods, damming Auril. Azomodeth a follower of the evil god of cold tried to aid this ghost, who turned on the cold mage. She dammed him when he fell. Azmodeth and nyx decided they rather investigate the cause on there own, and sneaked away from the party. They came across a pile of ancient corpses and one fresh one, next to a dark mass of energy.

Before Azmodeth even had a chance to invistgate she was attacked by two powerful ghosts who quickly overwhelmed first her, and then nyx. The rest of the party saw this and tried to rush to there aid, but the ghosts now held the advantage and the party fell. Nihm, Araulan, and Breegan decided to not rush in foolishly, and seeing the party fall managed to escape with there lives. The leaking energy slowly clotted itself, and the corpses of the fallen where pushed out of the portal before it faded away.

The fallen party members missed the clues left behind, and Nihm was the only one who got a good look. The fresh corpse was that of a necromancer who seemed to be hunting for corpses in the woods after digging up a few he tried a spell, but failed. This caused a leak in the negative energy plane, and the ghosts of the dead started to rise, killing the necromancer. Soon all manner of creatures attacked to the energy made there way to the area, eventually the leak manged to clog itself and close, but due to the party's failure to solve the problem in a timely manner many undead where created. It is unkown how many still haunt the woods, and when they will rest again.

The Merchant and the Sword
Image

For the past three weeks there has been a series of murders in the city. They appeared to be done at random, with a long sword in the hands of someone who was not an expert in such. The victims seemed to be picked because they where weak or let there guard down. The crime scenes where bloody, none more then the last in the Harbor District where a victim managed to fight back.

The Fist arrived and started to investigate the area immediately, finding the murderer was likely hurt in the battle himself. A coin of Waukeen was found as well, suggesting a merchant. Rumors quickly spread about the murder and the fists actions causing a number of adventurers to make there way to the scene. Using the earlier murders as a clue to his general location, as well as witness from the area and blood left as a trail, the fist managed to find who they where looking for in the Seven Suns Merchants house.

Curtis Morgan was the assistant to Jhasso, the owner of the Seven Suns in Baldur's gate, and one of the seven that owned the company in total. A hurt and bloody Curtis was forced out of the building by the Flaming Fist battle mage. Confronted by the guards he was asked to stand down, and drop his weapons. The merchant replied he could not and a stand off started. Wishing to avoid uneeded bloodshed the officer of the Fist was not hastey in cutting down Curtis. However a dark voice expressed that it was tired of the stand off and forced Curtis to attack. The fist quickly killed the man and he fell to the ground, dropping a dark looking blade.

It was while the Fist where busy keeping the public back and makeing sure everyone was safe, as well as figureing out how to move the blade, when the blade came to life on its own. It flow into the air, and cut open the face of the Battlemaster at blinding speed. A copy of Curtis then apparied to be holding the blade, a this copy seemed to be made out of dark energy then anything flesh or blood. It slew the two remaining fist, and the group of adventurers watching the scene had to step in and subdue the creature of energy.

As the blade fell back to the ground as nothing but a blade again it was the paladin Elril that decided to pick it up and take it to a temple. It was then that the people gathered fearing mind control from the blade broke out into a mob. Attacking both Elril and the innocent Eden and killing them before any evidence of mind control was seen. However, when things calmed they where healed and the blade was managed to be taken to the Temple of Helm.

It was in the temple that the nature of the blade was made clear, as it was not a weapon of iron but that of a devil. As long as a devil held its control of this blade it would continue to try and corrupt any that would use it, not letting go of them. It was decided that the blade needed to be forced away from Elril along with his arm. Arkaine did the honors as a Paladin of Helm and cut the arm of Eril off, as he quickly received healing. Both the blade and the arm flow on there own to an opening in the temple where a shadowy and dark Elril clone was created holding the blade.

The clone was quickly defeated and as the will of the blade retreated back inside once again Arkaine called upon the powers of his god, the god of the temple Helm. As his powerful mace slammed against the dark blade the statue of Helm glowed, the devil inside the blade could not stand the holy power and was shattered. The soul of the devil sent back to the hells. It was a job well done as the party split up, a few going to the Fist to explain what happend, it was a miss Vol that stayed around and picked a number of the shattred bits of blade to see if anything could come of them.

Any that would invistagate as to how Curtis had gotten this blade would find a package delivred to him with this note.
"To Goodman Curtis Morgan, You do not know of me but i know of you and youremployer, goodman Jhasso. Our family has been tryingto gain ground in Baldur's Gate for our sword trade and would very much appreciate a good word to your employer. We understand you have some sway over his considerations and goodman Jhasso is a busy man. Please accept this sample of our fine craftsmanship as a token of our sincere interest for business, and as a sample of our Master smiths"

Profiles of Madness.

Image
Ocular Adept Eirin-
Eirin is a very strange man. As an Ocular Adept he has been gifted a third eye from a Beholderkin, he seems to have mastered a number of Beholder like eye attacks with this gift. It has been made apparent that Eirin is not the first Eirin. He calls himself an echo, the memories of a man who once worshiped the Hive Mother. The Hive Mothers amazing mental techniques have allowed it to copy the memories of her old faithful servant over new minds every time she has a need of her slave. Eirin is very aware to this fact and is forced to question the status of his soul and what memories he has lived and what memories were given to him.

Status- Seems to be aiding adventures to be free of his status as a slave, however can you trust a man who does not even know who he is?
Hive Mother-
Rarely a Beholder is born with the ability to control other Beholders. One such Beholder has made its way to caverns under the Cloakwood. No one has seen it personally but its powers have been felt.
Status- unknown
Alienists
Darkrunner-
Image
A Darkrunner is a guide to all things caverns and caves. The Darkrunner that showed himself as an ally to the Alienists was a pale Batiri with two daggers. A master of stelth he can quickly overpower a party before they can manage to attack back. He may be one of the only non insane member of the Alienists, however he also has the least allegiance to them, more interested in coin.
Status- Alive, after taking Trilluim down on his own he left them to defeat the other Alienists has he went in search for more gold and job opportunities.

Blacksmith-
A man shaded in dark magic. Making arms and armor without sleep. His mind is long gone, and he only seems to care about his work, such work is often extended to makeing weapons out of human remains.
Status- killed by Trillium in their attack against the Alienists

Fleshwraper-
Image
Perhaps the most creepy of the Alienists that seeked out the Hive Mother. A gnome who takes parts of abberations and other creatures he likes and adds them to himself. He was last seen with claws and wings on his back. He enjoys taking flesh apart. He is also a skilled wizard. Eirin was quoted as saying he creeps him out, perhaps that might have something to do with the Fleshwrapers interest in his third eye.
Status- Killed by Trillium

Alhoon-
An Alhoon lich was with the other alienists. He is most likely the one that gave them the most knowledge on the Far Plane. He spoke of the Mind Flayer paradox, of Illiths from the end of the universe coming back in time to make sure that universe happens.
Status- Only a body was destroyed.

Alienist-
Image
The standard trade your sanity for magical knowledge alienist. She spoke in half nonsense and riddles. She seemed to forgot how the locks to the room of Otherwhen worked, and was rather happy to see the Adventures before she cut herself.
Status- Forced Trillium to kill her

Cleric of Great Mother-
A beholder crown and strange magic behind him, this man reminds everyone that even Gods can be mad.
Status- Killed by Trilluim

Fall of the Hive
Image

Iven Oakheart useing his druid powers and guided by Silvanus swam a sea of earth to find the Beholders lair. With his knowledge of its location he gathered a small army of adventurers to attack it. The no nonsense Thedran stayed in the lead most of the fight. By sure luck or willpower he managed to avoid most of the side paths of the lair and keep on the path leading to the Mother. They fought beholders of all shapes and sizes under the mothers control, other aberrations joined the fight against them. The eaere calls of will-o-wisps filled the caverns.

Image
After passing Eirin, the Ocular adept, mindless clones they managed to find a larger than normal Beholder. With sheer numbers and power they attacked the large hive mother. Blasts of eye beams and magic crossed the caverns in strikes of power. The mother saw the group as nothing more than insects, perhaps the irony then is that like insects they overpowered it with great numbers. The Mother fell to the ground lifeless, and just to be sure Thedran made sure there was no young in her as well.

The hive erupted into chaos as Beholders now free of control attacked one another in great fury, slaves ran for their lives, and the party fought for the monsters that came across them. Eirin shortly made his way to the party, his words and actions more chaotic than before. Playing with the runes he summoned what remained of his mindless clones and cut them down. Each rune he touched summoned more monsters till he tapped all the power in the room. Most of the party fled the caverns as it became a combat zones of fighting slaves, Eirin helped the rest escape with a spell that turns one into tentacles and travels fast though the earth.

While the party celebrated their victory beholders started to flee all over the coast, panicking without their normal lairs, they could be found around various caves. Many brave souls spent the rest of the night fighting such beholders.

Anger, Death, Study
Image

It started with reports on the lions way about zombies. The response by the local adventours was quick. They rushed to the area to attack the undead, however something was off. The zombies absorbed magical energy making the normal light shows of magic useless. Ivan Oakheart took the shape of a trent and smashed the swarming zombies around him, while other heros aided the best they can without the normal use of elemental powers.

Image

The party was led to the beach where the zombies seemed to end, looking around they found no signs of the dead. However a dark fog rolled in, and something came out of the shadows. The quell, an undead filled with such rage against the gods they can intercede and isolate followers from the touch of there god. The Divine users were devastated, cut off from their gods for what was likely the first time in their life. Iven fled, and other fell to the ground. Fighters and wizards fought against the ghostly creatures and after a long battle made them fall, there rage ending as well as there interceding.

One of Herbert Norths notekeeper was spotted "Note, Anger at the gods so powerful that it even follows them to undeath. Quell are a rare but powerful undead, their ability to cut the connection to a god is something worth study"One of the party members tried to grab the little creature but it fell apart in her hand. An angry group set out to Roaringshore to confront North. A furious Arellia forced the lich to acknowledge her. He spoke to her about his experiments in a fascinated manner, showing no concern for any emotions or pain involved. She attacked him and a powerful mass of spells were set across the docks. Pirates and dock workers fled. Herbert dropped his illusions allowing him to look mortal, showing himself for the undead he was. North's powers where fierce, enough for him to stop fighting and offer the party a chance to flee several times. However the party pushed on. "I will not be shackled by the failures of your God." he told Arellia. After a long fight the party managed to destroy his body.

As the party started to catch their breath more zombies crawled out of the water to attack them, and as the zombies fell the Quell made proved to still able to cut the divine casters from there gods. However despite the painful loss of the gods favor the party still fought on and managed to beat the ghost. A woman named Carmella fought with the Quell, her reasons unknown. All the fighting at the docks did not go unnoticed by the guards, who waited till the undead were dead before moving in on the party, they quickly fled. When Herbert North will show himself again is unknown.

The End of study
Image

Herbert North's study's are coming to an end. He created something new, and it will contune you to drain him till he is no more. He couldn't be more excited.

The Fields of the dead, a place where the battles of old mix with negative energy. Once undead where as common as the birds, but today it was empty. The earth dry, the grass brittle and not even the undead walked. A familiar figure now in robes wanders the field, black ooze dripping out his sleeves. He wipes the fog from his glasses as he study's and notes every detail of the energy drained place.

Herbert was not alone, adventurers where curious of the barren land as well. Normaly the lack of undead would be cause for celebration, however it dident feel right. The air was heavy, the lack of life was unsettling. As they explored the empty land sometimes they could swear extra footsteps where following them, but when they stooped and turned around it was gone.

North payed the company little mind as he worked, only offering the advice to leave "This place is not meant for life, or unlife." However he found himself soon pressed to speak more. Explaining to them of the creature, or shade's drain of the place, how it was growing harder for him to keep a body. They asked where the shade was, so he pointed to the ooze that had been dripping out of him, it squirmed on the ground wiggling and digging its way into the earth.

The adventurers spoke of plans to stop the shade, of makeing sure the prime does not become another negitive energy plane. They would use the Negitive energy plane itself to do this, to wash the creature out, like dumping a bucket of water into the sea. Herbert decided to test there resolve, he drooped his own wards keeping the creature at bay, for the time, and letting come and attack. They managed to defeat parts of the creature, but Herbert fled as other undead drawn to the pull, the drain of there energys, made there way to the area.

In the end the adventurers fled as well. Makeing promises to return and settle things once the time came. One of the group, Lucy Heartfillia, could almost swear that there was an extra set of footsteps when she walked....

End of Darkness
Image

One of the Homunculus belonging to the now gone Herbert North showed himself to a group speaking of the Negative energy shade. He seemed to speak in only broken nonsense unless asked a question, which he answered very clearly. It was soon realized that the homunculus could bring the party to the shade in a pocket plane.

The matter was argued for a while before finally agreeing to use Herbert's notes to travel and find the shade. They ended up in a darkened pocket plane with lots of spare negative energy. The Homunculus suggested a test had started. Attacked by leftovers of Herberts creations they defended themselves and made there way deeper.

They finally came across the monster they where looking for. A large force of negative energy that was frighting to look at. However, something was unexpected. It was not hostile, it barely even noticed the adventurers around it. Only with some experimenting with negative and positive energy did it react. It showed pain towards the positive and relief from the negative. However, it still showed no signs of hostility.

The party had what they needed, they know positive hurt it. They attacked the creature with every positive energy based spell they had, and ganged up on it with steel. The shade did not attack back but covered its face with its harm and reeled in pain as the party attacked it savagely. Soon its will was broken, and its energy drifted apart, it was beaten. The group celebrated the victory.

The Homunculus showed up again, saying the test has ended, and deduced that the creature only had child like intelligence, and its failure to communicate to the party led to them killing it with out any mercy. It stated negative energy was not evil or good. Just as positive energy can grow disease and viruses negative energy can kill it. As well as just as negative energy can cause harm, positive can heal it. The creature only harmed others for being, but not as any intent. It was soon after the party returned to the inn that the Homunculus had its wings ripped off, it shortly turned to dust much like the others before it. A connection to Herbert North's 1,000 years of research lost.

Notes:
-Most of this story is very Lovecraft inspired. Herbert North is very clearly a Herbert west from Reanimator.
-The Homunculus gave bits from poems of Edgar Allen Poe when he was speaking borken nonsense.
-A cat of Ulthar could be spotted near the Shade.
-Good ending would of involved sending the shade back to the negitive energy plane where he belonged, and keeping the Homunculus around to have access to Herbert's notes.
-While beating the shade of Negitive energy was always a possibility, it never occurred to me you keep the fight going while he refused to fight back. Makeing the bad ending even more tragic.

Lighting strikes Beregost
A thunderstorm hit the town of Berogost and when the storm cleared it seemed something was wrong. A priest of Lathander went missing, only a note from his kidnappers left behind. They threatened the priest life as well as drowning the corps of the town if they did not give them coin. The meeting was to be held at the school of Ulcaster, or what was left of it. Berogost currently under strife from the lack of soliders from Amn, and no aid from the north due to there status as part of Amn, where forced to accept a group of adventures offer of help. The guards asked if they know how to handle a hostage situation, and warned them if they endanger the town they will find themselves banned.

The party found a follower of Talos at the ruined school burning books for his lord. Tempers where already high when they started talking to each other. Made even worse by the words of a warlock and wizard who clearly had there own interests in mind. A fought broke out and the Stormlord was killed. The body was searched and there did not seem to be a large ammount of supplys and rations on the body. A token of Talos was found as well. They could not revive the corpse, so the party spent much time trying to figure out what to do. In the end the party wasted to much time, and could not come up with any viable plans, failing in there efforts to save the priest.

The Furious guards asked the group to leave the town. The rest of the priestly order returned to the temple to pray for there lost and likely dead brother.

Notes: I would of accepted using tracking to find where the Stormlord came from. Scrying the token of Talos for where it came from or more like it. A speak with dead spell would of came in great. While the stormlord was alive, torture, mind-control, or even fancy talking could of gotten you where you needed to go. Asking Npc's with the power to help would of also been viable.

Thunderstorm
Image

Thunderstorms raged over Berogost. Lighting striking corps, and farm animals dieing of stress. The Priests of Lathander kept to there temple and prayed, the mayor sat at his desk waiting to hear reports on the damage. Some more in tune with nature know that this was not natural.

Lucy decided to investigate the ulcaster ruins once more, still there was the corpse of the follower of Talos who was killed just a couple nights before. Praying for guidance from her gods she cut off its head, taking it back to the others. There a Speak with dead spell was used to access the knowledge left in it, they learned where the rest of the Talos followers where.

Traveling to the place where the dead man directed, Aiden soon understood this was Fort Gray. Fires burned endlessly as rain tried to snuff them out. Stormlords patrolled the area along with cultists. The party that had came made there way into the fort, fighting Talos followers at each step. At the top of the fort they confronted a mage and two Stormlords who seemed to be powering a ritual. A few strikes of lighting later the battle was over, the party won.

A note was noticed on the Mage, showing annoyance by a group known as The circle of Rust and the Worm. In the corner, the missing lathander was seen bleed out, attempts to revive him failed. Eli Press noticed the magic of the ritual and dispelled it, taking a strike of lighting for his efforts. The storms stopped with the ritual and the fire of Fort Gray raged once again forcing the party out. In Berogost they explained the situation to the Mayor and the priests. The mayor was bitter over the situation, mentioning Amns troop withdraws and pressure from the north, making any food and lives loss worse.

Good, evil, bandit, merchant.
Image

A group of bandits stooped a wagon just north of Berogost, stealing ten black sapphires. Approched by Ree, Morgana and symer wanted to steal from the thieves. The leader of the bandits openly admitted that the gems where taken from gold dwarves in the south, and they where stealing already stolen goods, him and his group then teleported off.

Meanwhile in the north a merchant waiting on the wagon of gems got a tip from one of the bandits who was spying on morgana, overhearing she wanted to kill them, he pushed the blame on her group. The merchant and a group of adventures gathered around the tiefling once she made her way to the inn and questioned her. It was then decided to trace the bandits teleport.

A trace to of the teleport sent the group to a cave just south of BG, there the bandits kept calm and avoided a fight. They once again spoke of the merchants actions of takeing the gems from gold Dwarves in the south, and that he was going to simply sell the gems and split the take with his peers. After some talk he decided to give up the gems to avoid a fight. Returning the gems to the merchant he openly admitted hiring thugs in amn to take from Dwarven mines, and even elves in there woods, however he clams it was all legal trade in Amn. He said if all goes well he could even increase his business. He then rewarded the party and went about his way.
