The one I posted earlier is just about playable; and a slight variance would get you CL30 at the cost of a couple BAB (e.g. stop DS at 6/7 and take 3/4 levels of FM or BM). But, yes, the balance of power has thankfully shifted away from Arcane Gishes.
That depends on how much of a reduction on mobs that dispel, was changed on the Server, recently.

From what I know empirically, there are enough areas on BGTSCC where a Player can level a Toon to 30 without interacting with mins that dispel.

However, there is also the mobs from the DM Chooser and dispel in PvP, that can be an issue.

A 25 CL will mean being dispelled 25% of the time (on paper). But the reality is that the NWN2 engine has its own percentage logic, which does not always favor the PC.

As well, depending on the build leveling structure, at certain level ranges, the actual CL of PC may be low for the CR of the Area. That can be frustrating for a both the casual adventurer or the grinder.
Is the new Bladesinger one any better?

Bladesinger as an actual Prestige class has not been added to this mod. So you can't use that build.

Unfortunately AC doesn't generally scale very well with level. What will it have at 30? Perhaps show your calculations as well - you've generally made invalid assumptions about the mechanics. As a comparator though, My Cleric gets to 50AC at level 20.

Glad you like it. Bard is probably the most versatile, most powerful, most easy-to-play build class on NWN2. You don't even have to be a good bard RPer to do it!!!

Just to give you a sense of the variety one can conjure up with Bard, say you change your mind and want a single longsword bladesinger, and, you give yourself the ultimate goal of acquiring mithral full plate, and willing to put up with a 15% dispel possibility from time to time. Then you can go STR bard and dial up something like this:

Either build can probably use some detailing (ask Thorsson or M3nt to crunch the numbers, I'm a lazy duck 8-) )

Only problem is, in Elven Lore Bladesingers are the stately Knight in Shining armor character types, not the subterfuge, hide amongst the shadows sort.

Bard with a 5 level dip in Duelist, Weapon Master, or Swashbuckler would suffice much better from a lore standpoint.

On a side note, sadly Humans make the best Bladesingers on this server. Wizard 15 EK 10 Weapon Master 5, or Wizard 10 EK 10 ASOC 5 Weapon Master 5 can only be achieved by humans and gives you all the Bladeslinger possibilities and a CL of 28( investing in Auto Still and PSC of course)

Well, let's start here:
The iconic defender of the elven lands, a bladesinger is a master of blending swordplay and magic.
Bladesingers are also supposed to forgo spell failure in Light Armor, only.

Considering the "Play Your Sheet" ideal on BGTSCC, and with Bladesinger not an actual Class/PrC to choose from, at this point, we shouldn't bog down a Player's fun with whether we call it a tomato or a tomatoe.

Besides...it is an Elf. *shudders*

I wasn't advocating playing a Human Bladesinger, I was just pointing out the irony Steve.

Spellsingers are really meant to be defensive controllers. A Bard Duelist combination with high maxed dex and int would be perfect for this purpose. Especially since they are meant to keep their off hand free anyways. Bard 25 Swashbuckler 5 would also be a great choice, can always wear your Mithral Armors.

Auto Still Sorceror Gish are also great choices. I would just lay off the Hipsing component. If he wants to play a N'Vhaelarn agent, or Olin Gisir, Shadow Dancer might suffice but not for a Bladesinger

Is "irony" a double entendre, considering the knight in shining armor bit?!?

Are spellsingers also bladesingers?!?

Anyway, I was just simply trying my darndest to make this guy happy, considering the general way the thread had been going. That was my sole purpose!!! 8-)

I agree with you Steve, people were being a bit hyper critical of a new player, perhaps forgetting what it's like not to be immersed in NWN2 for years.

No one is questioning your intentions. I chimed in only because I have a wealth of experience in building two things on this server, Elves and GISH. So, I just chimed in, didn't mean to be critical of you in particular, I promise.

I will be happy to post some builds once I have a free hand (typing this with one hand on my IPhone while watching Micky Mouse with my sick toddler). Not saying the build you posted wasn't a good one, I just anticipated the OP wanting to stick to strict lore based character design. If he wants to play that build, no skin off my teeth and he will do just fine ;)

lol, and all I saw was your first build with Shadow Dancer.

The second build with Anointed Knight is perfect. No need to go further than that, unless the OP wants a sorcerer gish build. That I can provide him at his request but you did well with that second build.
