Oh I wasn't aware of that, been a while since I last played an archer. My thought here would be instead of being able to avoid attacks of opportunity via an ability feat to give the class some kind of maiming ability.
In general some active abilities always make a class more interesting although possibly hard to balance but that could be done via cool downs. Since an archers worst nightmare is probably a strong durable opponent with low will saves the ability should have some kind of will save to stop these kind of opponents relatively reliably.
Maybe another ability that targets low reflex saves that knocks opponents back.
What I meant with not cohesive was in itself it sure works with other classes and prcs. But the class itself feels a bit torn between melee and ranged although now I know why you want spring attack.
