Re: True Believer Feat
The screenshot I provided earlier has a snip from my moon elf's former SA build with a 50 DC will save spell casted. Race, int, ESF modifications close the gap, as well as one class change from 51 to 53.

I know that you are a good player and that what I'm about to say is not how you mean it, but the way you have phrased your posts comes across as "trust me, bro".

tbh I feel like you're deviating from the intent of the post. Shadow Adept is not weak, even if most players arent able to squeeze out every point of DC. Not just that, but going to the actual RP, shadow adept is extremely heavy lore wise, enough to warrant such requirements.
There are stats showing shars popularity and SA's popularity, its quite high. I'm all for removing True Believer as a req and adding the other one instead (shar worship or -2 wis, as a trade of knowledge so shar would allow the PC to use the weave)
SAs shouldn't pick the class bc its strong, because honestly thats what happens right now even with the req, they should pick it because of the heavy RP that comes with it

I always thought it'd be cool to play a SA svirf deep gnome cleric with quickened phantasmal killers.

SA is not weak, but BGtSCC's metagame is rubbish. There are some very dodgy claims being posted here without evidence too.renshouj wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 10:58 am tbh I feel like you're deviating from the intent of the post. Not untrue.cosmic ray wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 3:37 pm SA is not weak, but BGtSCC's metagame is rubbish. There are some very dodgy claims being posted here without evidence too.
Still, relevant to this thread, SA is not a weak class as you pointed in the first post. BG's environment where DC casters are weak isn't a problem of SA, in fact SA, if anything, is the one way to make a potent DC caster in the server at the moment.
So ya, a req feat isn't a price too high to pay, though for RP sake I'd love to see it changed to the other one suggested
