A letter to the Ilmater Church. And Prelate James White of the Radiant Heart

My Name is Lexa Dreskia. I serve the Faith of Ilmater and my Faith demands that I write this Letter in order to speak out against a problem I see Growing. Several Farmers led by Passionate and Advocate began Making a scene at FAI recently. This Farmer was preaching a very Anti Tiefling Message. They Preached that Tieflings should all be Removed from our World. The Group then Traveled to Bergost with me Yori and a Member of the Silver Shield following them. The Group in Bergost transformed into a Mob. With 2 or 3 Dozen people flocking towards this Message of Segregation and rejection of an Entire Race. The Mob leader spoke Loud and with Great Passion. That Passion drove the Mob into a frenzy as they seemed ready to Strike down Tieflings right then and there. Myself Yori and the member of Silver Shield tried to calm the hatred that was Growing before our Eyes. Lucky for us there was no Violence and a Guard stepped in when the Mob grew Louder. I was worried when the Guard showed Support of the Mobs message. However the Guard was True to his Job. He dispersed the Mob and sent them on there way. He said there will be no Mob on his Watch. I Commend this Guard for Diffusing a potentially deadly Situation before it got out of hand.

But I must now consider a fearsome Reality. This Mob and it's Passionate Leaders found a great deal of Support in Bergost. More then 2 Dozen Civilians and even the Guard seemed to Support Racial Prejudice. Let us look at Bergost then. In the last Months Bergost has had many hard days. The people and the City seem to be hurting in a deep and Fearsome way. When a Passionate Man and his Allies begin to offer Bergost someone to blame for there Troubles. A common Enemy to pin there Anger and there Fears onto. Then it is not hard to see why Bergost may well follow that Passion. I firmly believe that should this Mob gain traction then they will find that Traction in Bergost. I know that it is always easier to stop a Fire before it gets out of Control. So I believe that as Ilmater Faithful it is our Duty to try and Cool the flames of Hate before they can become an Inferno.

My Proposal is to Host a Mass in Bergost. A mass with the Message of Peace and Acceptance. A Mass to help battle the Sentiments of Racial Segregation rejection and Violence. This Mass would have the Primary Purpose of Cooling the hearts of the Hurting people of Bergost. I would be pleased to see the Radiant Heart show a stabilizing Presence during this mass. A more Unified pesence will add a lot to the message of peace and Acceptance. My Brothers and Sisters please stand with me and let us Together work to restore a state of Calm and Rational thinking. I do not think I am the right person to lead this mass. I hope a person with more Experience will step forward. However my self Yoruichii and Vino are standing by to Assist in any way we can.

*Lexa Dreskia returns to the Temple of Ilmater. She stoops to prayer in the Alter room. Then leaves some Gold on the Alter to Aid the good work the Temple does. Then heads to the Sick room to tend the Wounded or the Sick. Her skill is Limited but she knows her own Limits. Lexa is Content to aid the trained Medics acting as a Nurse. She is also happy to lend an ear or Offer a Joke if the Paitient is in need.*

*But Lexa soon returns to the Alter room. Lexa Bows to the Priest with Deep respect. Then Asks him if her Letter was given any Consideration. If the Temple of Ilmater would be willing and prepared to move her plan Along.*

" Lexa Returns to the Temple the very next Night. This Time she looks much more pleased then her last 2 Visits. She Goes right to the Priest and Stoops to pray to Ilmater."

Thank you Mighty Ilmater. My Prayers have been Answered for Ameris Prelate of Radiant heart has Contacted me. Soon I will have the Temple Cerimony in Bergost that I think will help to calm all the Anger Growing there.

*Lexa Dreskia enters the Temple and Looks around as she is clearly looking for a Specific Person. She takes a Peek in the Sick room. Then heads to the Prayer room. There she greets the man she was looking for. Ameris Santraeger Greets Lexa in Return as Lexa Prays at the Alter and leaves some Gold.

The Two have an extended Conversation Concerning the Letter that Lexa had left at the Temple. It seems as if plans are Moving Forward towards the Mass in Bergost that Lexa Proposed.

After a Satisfactory Agreement is Made Ameris departs the Temple. Lexa stays behind to Tend the Sick and pray to Ilmater. She offers her Thank you to Ilmater for Helping her Plans to Move Forward.

Lexa Dreskia is seen entering the temple and Going right over to the alter. She stoops and prays with a Desperate and Hopeful look on her face.

Ilmater I pray today for a Girl name Terry Lalani the sister of my Beloved. Terry just returned from a cult held Temple. She was abused in many ways at this temple. Her body and Soul in great pain and she is in desperate need of a soothing hand. I am doing my best to help her and to follow your teachings Ilmater. But I fear I may not be up to this task. I come to you as a Loyal Servant and Beg of you to help this girl find the Light again. She is a good person deep down below all the pain.

*Rests her forhead on the alter and Silent tears fall.* Thank you for hearing my Prayers Ilmater. I have faith in you I know you will do what ever needs to be done. Even if I don't understand it myself.

After The prayer Lexa Stands and leave some Gold on the Alter. Then heads to the Sick room to aid those in need.

*A young, freckle faced girl with short blond hair returns to the Temple in the Gate looking trail worn, dusty and tired. She smiles at those inside the temple but speaks not a single word as she checks over all those within the infirmary, with soft smiles and gently pats of encouragement, before heading up stairs to clean herself up and, or see it seems, finally get some sleep.*

Ameris arrives in the temple, bearing the unconscious body of Alexander Marshall. The knight is in a bad way, badly burnt and seemingly the victim of brutal injuries. He is taken to the infirmary and handed over to the care of the Ilmateri, Ameris himself doing what he can.

Vino enters the temple of Ilmater after traveling from the Friendly Arms Inn. His mood is sour after a conversation with Celduil, Kaltyra, Hinzel and Ivan regarding the current issue of the Lich. The Ilmateri monk is annoyed, having the opinion that the different factions of the coast squandered away the opportunity to deal with the Lich while it was weaker. The attention of the coast's heroes was on finding, hiding, and scheming over the stolen "ring", when the attention should have been dealing with the Lich itself. Now the coast's heroes are organization recognizing the threat, but what if it is too late? The fear of the future suffering along the coast plagues Vino.

What hurts Vino even more was hearing about the capture of his friend, Thedran. The two men do not see always eye to eye, but Vino holds great respect for the Helmite. He will do everything in his power to try and rescue the Thedran.

Vino alerts the priests and the monks inside the temple of Ilmater about the issue. He asks that an order be placed for a large shipment of medical supplies. The temple keeps a well stocked inventory of medical supplies, but not enough to aid against the threat that is coming.

Laitae stops by the sanctuary and leaves a sealed letter for Louise.

*Valiant Blinncraft bolts into the temple of Ilmater, his right arm crushed and concealed under a blood drenched cast of a sort. Soon as Valiant is granted entry, the others within would note a severe paleness to his features. His bald head matted in clumps of mud and he reeks strongly of trolls, his sentences are strung together chaotically and one cannot mistake the bitter criticism he directs toward himself and certain others*

"I tried. . . Kraak Helzak. . . be weary of your secret. . . the coveted rock's whereabouts have been. . . compromised. . .men and women thinking with their coin purse. . . such a failure, I am. . ."

*Tears stream down his face as Valiant hugs the altar, as he collapses into a darkness*
