Re: Languages - April 20th Update
Language settings still don't persist.
If after selecting a language, clicking "Finish choosing!", you log out and log in then you'll once again will be presented with language selector window. Also, you will not be granted racial/class languages this time and you'll be only able to speak common. You also won't be able to select languages you've previously chosen.

Re: Languages - April 20th Update
Is it possible to just disable the language system for awhile? Revert to the old one? Not only will that give some time to continue testing it on the other server, but perhaps can also give some hints as to what is causing the random lags/crashes (IE, if they continue after the language system is taken down, then it's nothing to do with it).

ATM, if I see my character has been awarded draconic, abyssal, or celestial, then I just don't choose languages. Because they are still getting one of these languages, even if they are human.

Re: Languages - April 20th Update
Languages are still quite borked for me. I'm not even receiving my racial language anymore.

Re: Languages - April 20th Update
I don't really mind having to reselect every language, but since the saving isn't working properly, i'd prefer if languages were reset every time I log on, until saving is fixedRhifox wrote:Is it possible to just disable the language system for awhile? Because being unable to speak one of the languages my character is supposed to know is seriously annoying.
Basically, I don't want the situation where I can't speak racial, class language or any character languages to happen, ever.
Having to select them every time would be annoying, but it would be better deal than being unable to select them at all.
Having the old system back would be great too.

Still only speaking dwarf on all characters that have the language. I click on the language drop down and select "Common" and still...nothing but dwarven.Blackman D wrote:there is a fixed already loaded but wont take effect till after the next reset which should be in about 4 hrs from now

Is there some fix I'm not seeing? Or is my character vault borked?

Hi,
@ The_Gruff_Stout, is Dwarf listed at the top for you? There is an issue which causes only the first language in the VoiceEntry dropdown menu to be used, common for most but it can appear as other things as well.
The fix in effect saves languages now but they are granted in incorrect amounts. Please bear with us. All the details are with the QC and this will get fixed.
And remember that asking a DM to reset your languages by removing the DMFI tool will wipe your biographies.

Yep, sure is listed at the top! Not being able to speak common lead to some interesting RP last night. We are all rolling with the punches, making the best of the situation. Rp can be found even in buggy scripts sometimes! LOLLuxA wrote:Hi,

Thanks to the staff and QC team for putting in work to solve this.

Re: Languages - April 20th Update
Server 2 is running now to test an update. Language repairs seemed to work for me. If any QC read this, jump over to S2, per SOP. You may need to log-in twice with existing PC for full fix to take effect.
