One more really weird question:

Does the creature voice set overwrite the character voice set? If not it might make sense to choose a voice set at character creation that does not sound awkward when shifted :D

I get the balancing part of the decision. ;) I just argue that the requirements are not consistent with other prestige classes.
There is a sort of DnD rule/tradition that no PrCs (except class kits) can be taken before lvl 6 of PC.
That's what a BAB requirement is for.
... No.

A BAB requirement would achieve the same effect you're complaining about, except now it would target arcanists instead of spontaneous casters. However, there are PrCs which explicitly request a certain amount of levels in a spellcasting class, versus access to a certain spell level. Personally, I don't think it's that big a deal, but if they did change the requirements, that is what I'd aim for.

On paper, shifter looks so nice, but without being able to heal through potions or through heal skill, the shifter does not look so appealing any longer.
I did mention that in my latest "shifters might actually be fine" post. :P

They'll have a much lower skill/equipment floor than other classes, and a much greater degree of operational flexibility than most of them... but there are some things which will continue to hinder them from being the unstoppable monsters some people have made them out to be.

Nope. Whenever Amaetha wildshapes, she still yells that nature will have its say as she rushes the enemy. As a bear.

There's exactly no voice set that won't sound awkward in one or more shapes.

By add on to them, you mean you can pick two - or that the two will exist side by side, and you can still choose to use the old history feats? Way the NPC is described, I presume the former but would like to clarify!

Further I wonder - if one had picked a language based on such already: would they get refunded the intelligence they spent on it?

Beyond these questions - sounds like a quite handy thing!

Also extra kudos for nodding to server lore re: dwarves!

A character belongs only to their player, and only them. And only the player may decide what happens.

Will fiends be valid options for other divine classes like divine champions and favourite souls?

Meaning you can still choose to use the old ones. You still will only get one history feat total.

I will look into if I can have the character's language choices reset when using the NPC.

Any divine class that is restricted by divine deities will not be able to use archfiends. So favored souls probably cannot pick them. I'm not sure about how divine champion works, but if it's limited to cleric list, then same thing goes.

Would 'Kara-Turan' (or as-appropriate) be possible to add for Humans?

I am aware that beyond myself, there are a frequent minority coming from Kozakura, Shou-Lung, Tabot, and such countries East of Thay, but I suspect that one umbrella for the continent may be sufficient.

For now, ethnicities other than these will be just included under the generic Human subrace, but in the future more may be added (or even for the coming patch, depending on how work goes).

In PnP, the divine champion must have a patron deity, but in NwW2 I don't think that requirement applies, even though it should. Is this restriction on fiends based on ooc or ic factors? I admit that I don't know a lot about their lore.

Mostly OOC. There is enough IC lore to support archfiend clerics in FR, but DMs believe that the various unique circumstances of archfiend clerics are such that we do not want to have players able to play them.

Talking to another player who knows a little more about these things than I do, it seems that neither Divine Champion nor Divine Seeker are divine classes, in spite of their names, so you should be able to pick an archfiend as patron deity as either, right?
