This guide is absolutely amazing and one of the most helpful for a newbie wizard. Thanks Tsid!

Bump for usefulness!Tsidkenu wrote:Here is a list of the spells on BG's surface world and where they can be bought (credits to Laenor for the surface list). Spells highlighted in yellow are not available in shops. Spells highlighted in red are custom server spells and cannot be scribed. They -must- be chosen on level ups. This includes all the new spells included in the big update (not listed in the above spreadsheet)
A UD list of available spells can be perused here (credits to ethys for the UD list).
If a spell you have in your spellbook and need to transfer over is not available from a store on that list, scribe it in preparation for an RCR when the DMs give the go ahead. The rest will be cheaper to buy from merchants or picking at level up.
Most custom server spells, including the new spells added in the recent update, must be chosen on level up as only a handful are actually available as scrolls in game and in shops/loot drops, unless the DMs are kind and hand some out to us.
Remember: There is a coded hard cap of 255 spells for wizard spellbooks.
The server fires a script if you learn 246+ and then a random assortment will be plucked from your spellbook at a whim until your total number is reduced back to 245.
Choose your spells carefully. The server update includes a new Remove Spell feature now in case you want to discard an unused spell, fortunately!
Good luck!
Thank you for updating these!! I wish they were available on the forum as well as the current bugs associated with each.
Get some kind of adblock on your webbrowser and you'll not have any more issues. I use uBlock for Firefox which also blocks some of those linked videos on some wikis.LISA100595 wrote:Thank you for updating these!! The Wiki is always so slow and filled with ads and pop ups
I couldn't also possibly trouble you for directions to High Hedge?Tsidkenu wrote:Inside the library, where the books and scrolls are (Librarian Demetrius)
Geez I know lol. So pricey! But worth it.Tsidkenu wrote:Bumping this now that we are in a 100% RCR period. Don't stuff up your RCRs, wizards! And yes, they're expensive. The last time I full RCRed Aeili it cost me 110k in scrolls
