After finishing his last prawn, Perdogim leaned back and rubbed his belly with a satisfied burp. His eyes fixed the young hin that sat in front of him.
„So you want to hear my story? Well, I hope you have a lot of time. Because as you see I’m not the youngest hin anymore.” As if to prove his point, Perdogim pointed at the grey strands in his hair. He folded his hands and leaned back, obviously enjoying the young hin’s interest in his person. “Well well, where do I start?”

“It was more than thirty years ago that I left Luiren to explore the world. Surprisingly the hin that left Luiren that day had more in common with you than with me … apart from the name maybe. It might surprise you, but I was a firm follower of Brandobaris back then. A young hin, hungry for adventures and tall tales. And I’ve seen my fair share of adventures and tall tales on my travels, sometimes more than I wished for. Take this incident in Mulhorand for example. I was travelling with Pip back then, a fine fellow and also from Luiren just like me.
I am not sure why, but for some reason we decided to “take a peek” in that old and seemingly uninhabited cave. A bad idea that almost cost our lives. Because it turned out this cave was used a hideout by slavehunters from Thay. Boy, did I run fast that day. Phew …”

Perdogim eyes wandered off for a moment, only to focus the young hin in front of him once again: “Say … are you thirsty as well? Oh, I believe it’s your turn to order drinks. I’ll have another ale.” Stroking his chin, he leaned back again to arrange his thoughts. Awaiting the return of the young hin and a freshly filled mug of ale.
