History
Tomar is the second oldest child of his family. Being born to to a human mother and an aasimar father, he nonetheless gained the racial favor and abilities of his father's race, if not the look and mannerisms. Growing up with 4 other siblings and a foster brother, Tomar looks back fondly on his childhood. His father being a paladin of Torm, and his mother being a priestess of Tyr, it was only natural that the family found their callings with various good aligned gods. Tomar's childhood was spent on the family farm South of the Nashkel mountains. The male children of the household all helped with the farm work, while the girls were expected to help with the domestic chores of the household. Tomar's education consisted of various religious teachings from his mother, who did her best to emphasize the importance of all the gods in the grand sceheme of things. Tomar continued this education in his free time, reading on various religious and doctrinal philosophies in his spare time. Even from a young age, Tomar had an interest in becoming a paladin. Stories of Gram the Mouse (whom his older brother was named after), and various other knightly tales of virtue filled young Tomar's imagination. In Tomar's 12th year, his father adopted Tavorik, an orphan child who had been travelling with a merchant caravan from the North. Tomar took quickly to Tavorik, considering him a brother and sharing in on all varieties of misadventure with him, as is typical of young boys. As the eldest surviving male of his household, Tomar still sees a responsibility towards Tavorik to keep him from harm as best he can, though it's becomming more difficult as the young barbarian asserts his independence more and more.
