Armor Optimization stacking with other DR items like Belts

Hey folks,

Can I get a Offical Word on the this issue of Dmg Resistance and how it may stack or not with the Armor Optimization Feat? Does it stack with Only Natural DR like what Barbarians and Warlocks have or will it work with Melee DR items like Archer, Swordsman and Brawler Blets?

It doesn't stack with items as far as I know. It does stack with classes such as Dwarven Defender however.

Those damage resistance (slash), damage resistance (blunt), and damage resistance (piercing) belts are complete trash. Those properties do NOT work (feedback you see on the screen lies, check your combat logs and set up test cases to confirm).

That said...

Barbarian DR stacks with Epic Damage Reduction and Greater Resiliency but no other sources of DR (not even dwarven defender).

Dwarven Defender DR stacks with Epic Damage Reduction and Greater Resiliency but no other sources of DR.

Armor Specialization grants DR that does not stack with anything else.
Adamantine armors grant DR that does not stack with anything else.

Fey skin feats provide additional DR for any class-based cold iron source (but only the best) such as Favored Soul, Warlock, or Spirit Shaman.

Spells and feats (Rescue) do not stack with anything else.

These should be gone now. We took them out some time ago.

I just paid 2500g for a Piercing Belt. I guess I can sell it to Maltz and get some coin back. They are still in the Loot List or they wouldn't be showing up still.
