Deleting practised spellcaster feats ?
How about simply deleting the practised spellcaster feats ?
This will ensure :
- That "pure" casters get the best DCs by having a caster level of 30
- Changes made to the dispell spells can be lowered so that "pure" casters are less affected by dispells
- That the practised spellcaster DC bug can no longer be abused.
That will also require some other changes, IE :
- Alter the Pale master class to gain a spellcasting progression of 9/10
Biggest problem would be the amount of characters impacted when initially doing it.
Thoughts ?

Re: Deleting practised spellcaster feats ?
Can't DM just remove / add a feat easily ?
This would prevent rebuilds.

besides some builds will be utter crap without this feat... and the changes to the server will be heavy to pull this through

Re: Deleting practised spellcaster feats ?
Greater dispell (all dispells actually) would also need to have lowered power.
Something in between of current and vanilla.

utter crap.. practically every casting combination with a non-casting class... you loose 3 CL at the start... take another you loose 6 CL....

Re: Deleting practised spellcaster feats ?
That's pretty much the point of the change.
Dipping in other non-CL improving classes = higher chance for dispell and lowered DC.
Still i just want to see pros and cons for such a change.

Re: Deleting practised spellcaster feats ?
sure you can se that... but normally you can take 1 level each class so the penalty would be MAX 3CL wor a wizard/fighter/rogue/cleric
and this would be correct with the D&D rules..
on this server you HAVE to take 3 levels each class
this makes PS feat a must have for such class combinations
instead having 21CL you have 25 CL which is still much less then a pure caster

In term of gameplay CL 21 and CL 25 is the same.
I want to penalize a bit class dipping , both for gishes and divine classes.

oh a crusader you are....I want to penalize a bit class dipping , both for gishes and divine classes.

fine then...
right now you have to take 3 levels every class before 20 right?
this alone hampers there spell progression
a dedicated gish will take at least 4 levels fighter + 10 Eldritch Knight
so he looses 4 CL before 20 so his first lvl9 spell is in epic levels
that is some penalty dont you think?
