Hi, I recently started playing NWN2 again these last few weeks and have happened upon this server, It seems very well done, though for the amount of people on I have ran into very few, especially ones that talk. Where would a level 1 fresh character go?
I have attempted to go after bandits for the trading company, but there never is any, mostly ive been on that south road killing wolves for the last few nights.
Am I missing something? Is there a handy thread that has all this starter info? or am I expected to fumble through?

The wolves is where you would generally go.
And from there, the bandit cave.
Go to the one that does not have the boats in it.
You can also go to the graveyard.
When you enter the East Gate Farmlans (right outside BG), you get to the graveyward from there.
Go to the palace district.. and then the white mask theater.
There is a low level quest there.
Talk to the guy inside.
Also in the East Gate Farmlands, talk to Farmer Thom.
He will give you a quest.
You can get past level 1 though without any combat from doing quests.
Once you get to level 2 or 3, you can go into the hilltop ruins which you also get to from the wolf area.
There are usually other players in there.
If your totally stuck and can't find anyone, you might try to ping a DM to who can quickly scan for players that you would be able to join.
Or in the wolf area.. go to the next area which is the friendly arm inn.
There is a fire up the road when you enter the friendly arm inn where 99% of the time people are there hanging out.
Talk to the players there.
I'm sure they will help you.

folks passing on the road tend to be involved in something, and you will likely get a nod or so. rp-heavy areas are where folks will chat it up with you. areas like the friendly arm inn campfire.
as far as the quest goes, i believe you may have misunderstood what the merchant was asking for. check you journal and read the quest again

Excellent, had some fun tonight, was getting RP experience, didnt know you got experience for that here. Very neat.
