The Cloakwood Fey

Unread post by Maecius »

There have now been two incidents at the campgrounds outside the Friendly Arm Inn involving fey creatures and ominous weather. Both have been preceded by a priestess of Sehanine Moonbow, now identified as Auriel Elenviel, going into a catatonic state and spouting cryptic prophecies.

The first incident was defused by a knight of the woods named Kald Blake, who interceded on behalf of those around the camp, placating the Fey by dousing the campfire.

The second incident was less easily concluded, but a former Fist turned private man-at-arms named Thedran was able to calm the Fey enough to hear their warning: The campgrounds had to be moved within three ten-day and one days, or the Fey would remove it -- and anyone in it -- by force.

It appears, to all involved, that the Fey are angry or annoyed about humanoid incursions on the Cloakwood -- particularly the campgrounds and a recent fire in the Cloakwood mines. But the question some are asking is, "why now?" Why are the Fey upset now, when the fire has not perturbed them before?

A Fist Corporal named Fentin Berlance and a Paladin named Aethor Siger reported the situation to Bentley Mirrorshade of the Friendly Arm Inn after the second incident, who seemed concerned. So concerned is he, in fact, that he has put out a call inviting all druids to come to the Friendly Arm Inn to help him solve this crisis.

Questions he's hoping to answer is what does all this have to do with the elven goddess of the moon? Why are the Fey angry now? Is something inciting the Fey? Who started the mine fire? And, what can we do to resolve this situation before the time limit is up?
