Does "Guard the Lord" and "Rescue" stack?

I've been wondering if the effects of "Guard the Lord" (nwn/guardsman)
and the effects of the epic feat "Rescue" stacks with one another.

Guard the lord: Reduce targets dmg(-/any) by 70% - You take 50% of the initial dmg rounded down. - This is a target buff-type ability
Rescue: Reduce target(s) dmg (-/any) taken wiith 50% - You take 50% of the initial dmg - This is an aura-effect, so any ally close to you will be affected.

Im curious if anyone know if such effects stack with each other, one being a buff, the other an aura. I realize the meatshield in question will take a pounding, but the target would end up taking surprisingly little damage if such were the case.

I would think not, but I'm also not 100% sure.

Generally though stuff like this doesn't stack.

Yes and no....

If using on the same character no. However, FRED can GUARD a tank, and AMY can rescue FRED providing a nice little boost to both FRED and the tank.

Doing this bugs your concentration checks though, for some reason. Tested this with Renec and Aerin using the ability on each other and going into battle to make ourselves tougher. We suddenly had supper low concentration and failed repeatedly when in combat where we otherwise wouldn't.
