Tanarukk names

Unread post by Karond »

From this topic: http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=19756

I was wondering if we could allow Tanarukk names on the server. I see people all the time having them anyway, and one player have named his character "bloodtooth", and another "Gutwrencher" ingame, without going through a change for 6 months. At the same time, I was forced to change mine, but this seems like a random act rather than determined.

I brought this up a long time ago, and got no answer here: http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=28&t= ... r&start=30

Simply put, Tanarukk names are done exactly like this in good DnD RP. Bloodtooth, Hearteater, Gorefest, Skulltaker etc. etc.

I do understand that people should not in general get to have names like "the shadow", since these are silly names. I do however think Tanarukks should be able to express their names, and their culture, in a way fitting to them. Nothing says primeval savagery like these names.

Can they please be officially allowed? Well, since you're not changing other peoples names which are correct lore-wise, it seems it is already unofficially allowed. Except that you guys changed mine for no apparent, and hence a rather unfair, reason.
