Signs are placed around Baldur's Gate and Candlekeep

Citizens, Friends and Guests. As we all know the Dukes and Merchants within Baldur's Gate remain benefactors to all. Two EXTREMELY dangerous criminals have taken refuge within our confines. They are wanted for murder within their home realm. Countless other murders are attributed to the pair on the high seas and abroad. The mighty seafaring nation of Tashalar. Friends and allies of Baldur's Gate. They are here to assist with the apprehension of the two malefactors. Several groups of their soldiers led by the caste of Knights are here to aid us by bringing the criminals to justice.

Acting in accordance with the wishes of the Dukes of Baldur's Gate, the Flaming Fist and all other authorities will not interfere with the manhunt. They are to assist if needed. ALL citizens are either to aid or not interfere. I Impeach you good citizens. Take this matter to heart. The authorities are to protect you. The ones known as Tim of Tashalar and his conniving Son Dejerrick are to be apprehended by force if necessary.

Your cooperation in this matter IS compulsory. Do not let the two of them fool you. Our gracious friend Duke Kurgan Harkonen of Tashalar has sent his eldest Son to lead the expedition. Let it be known that citizens WILL be kept safe. Murder and piracy within and without our Realm shall be crushed and law and justice will remain eternal within our fair borders.

Aftermath.....

*The Duke smashes his fist on the table at the meeting of his Councilors. He begins a tirade.*

"Its costing us over 1000 gold to clean up the mess at the Friendly Arms Inn. A pitched battle inside and outside the inn? Balors right outside Baldur's Gate? All this over a personal feud? Tell our Allies in Tashalar that their soldiers are NOT welcome in Baldur's Gate. They can send their merchants as long as no soldier ever leaves a ship.

I dont care who was involved. The merchant was not even armed and his Son is a drunken womanizer. Extremely dangerous are they! If I ever find any soldiers from Tashalar in the City I will have them hung. I swear it!"

*The Duke paces back and forth stomping his feet and fists on any hard surface. Until the Councillors leave. After they are gone he calms down suprisingly quickly. He thinks to himself and smiles*

"Now what could be in those two chests that were brought to me from the docks?"
