However, despite her general benevolence, deep within her psyche lie seeds of conflict born from the trauma of her youth.

Background: Born into the gutters of Luskan, Svala's earliest years were spent with her older brother, Oleg. Struggling for survival within this den of thieves allowed Svala to develop what some might call, a 'Rogues' sensibilities. When she was eight years of age she and her brother fled Luskan for parts north. After several grueling weeks on the open road Svala and Oleg were waylaid by bandit, resulting in the demise of her brother. Svala was rescued and taken in by a northern ranger and his cohort where she learned to channel the strife and loss of her childhood into an insatiable drive to learn and practice the ways of ranger as espoused by Gwaeron Windstrom. After years of training in the harsh clime of the Spine of the World and the surrounding territories, Svala decided venture southward and forge her own destiny in the lands that lie there. The trials and travails that led her to the Sword Coast were many and fraught with danger…but that is for another story.

Goals: Ideally, Svala seeks to find a land in which she can serve as a warden or protector of the balance between nature and civilization. Meanwhile she is content to find solace wherever it may lie, in friendships and averting evil.
